quel est le salaire moyen comparativement a la france quel est le prix moyen dun loyer pour un logement de type F3, faut il des fiche de salaire comme en france ? dans quel secteur pourrions nous trouver un travail ? en sachant ke nous ne maitrisons pa encore langlais (kingston de preference) dans quel secteur pourrions nous trouver un logement (kingston de pref.) il ya til des associations francaise daide au travail (stage, formations etc..) au logement etc ..
tout autre renseignement complementaire nous seraient tres bénéfik, alors nhesitez pas, svp, nous partons definitivement en septembre et nous aimerions trouver un logement le plus rapidement possible, on aimerai eviter de depenser toute nos economie dans l'hotel !

je vais essayer de repondre a quelques questions que tu te poses sur ton installation prochaine en jamaique(reponses que j'ai pu avoir ces deux dernieres annees car nous aussi nous avons l'intention de nous y installer d'ici quelques annees)
Pour ce qui est du boulot en Jamaique tu dois savoir que les non residants jamaicains(tu obtiens la residance apres 5 ans sur l'ile et possibilite d'avoir la nationalite apres 7 ans)doivent payer une taxe sur le travail (qui n'est pas a negliger, si mes souvenirs sont bons elle s'eleve a environ 1000 euro par an (a confirmer par d'autres utilisateurs du forum))
Je sais egalement qu'il y a un service qui s'occupe des investisseurs etrangers qui investissent en jamaique mais pour les personnes qui n'investissent pas ???
Le salaire moyen tourne aux alentours de 300 a 500 euro par mois et sans travail il est interdit de rester plus de 3 mois sur l'ile(tu deviens illegal la bas et en cas de controle tu peux tres bien te retrouver en prison a kingston comme de nombreux haitiens)
Pour le prix des loyers, je n'ai aucune idee des prix demandes mais ce que je peux te dire que le prix de l'electricite est tres chere la bas
Ne pas connaitre l'anglais est aussi un handicap car tres peu de jamaicains parlent francais
Mais que cela ne te decourages pas car la population jamaicaine est toujours prete a t'aider

hello, je suis actuellement sur kingston. pour trouver un logement je peux juste te donner le site Internet des petites annonces du journal national http://www.gleanerclassifieds.com/ il te suffit de t inscrire pour y avoir acces. apres au niveau des prix cela depend toujours de la qualite du logement et du quartier... en tout cas le cout du logement n est pas a negliger ici, comme beaucoup d autres choses. sinon voici le site de l alliance francaise situe a cote de l ambassade de france a kingston http://www.alliancefr.org.jm/ Sinon je ne peux que te conseiller d aprendre vite l anglais, car ici tu devras encore apprendre le patois lol. enfin en tout cas si tu as d autres questions n hesite pas.

Je pars moi aussi pour essayer de m'installer en Jamaïque (Ocho Rios) début octobre, et j'aimerais savoir si c'est facile de trouver du travail dans la restauration. Si oui, les formalités pour avoir un visa sont elles compliqués à effectuer, parce que j'ai lu sur le site du consulat jamaïquain que l'employeur doit justifié d'une 1ère recherche sur le territoire avant d'employer un travailleur étranger, et justifié qu'il n'a trouvé personne de qualifié pour l'emploi. J'avoue que plus je cherche, moins je trouve d'issue positive, en sachant que je pars avec un visa touristique (valable 1 mois) comme me l'a conseillé le consulat jamaïquain en France, vue que je n'ai pas trouvé d'emploi jusqu'ici. Pensais vous vraiment que l'on risque gros en restant au delà de cette période si on arrive à régularisé sa situation au delà de la période de validité du visa.
Salut à vous tous, j'ai travailler comme expatrier pendant 6 mois à Kingston pour une firme de génie-conseil.
Nous étions sur des projets de construction de routes. Mais beaucoup d'autre secteurs d'activitées sont en projet sur l'île.
Comme je ne connais pas vos emplois ou vos compétences, je vous recommende de voir quels sont les entreprises étrangères qui sont en place sur l'île par le biais des sites officiels du gouvernement Jamaiquains et de solliciter un emploi. Les plus chanceux aurons la chance d'être traiter en expat, les autres comme local.
Si jamais d'entre-vous étaient du domaine géotechnique ou en compétences avec les travaux civils, vous pouvez essayez de communiquer avec Bruno chef de lab, chez Jentech (entreprise local) laboratoire de matériaux à Kingston c'est un québéçois qui pourrais peut-être vous aider.
Je sais également que Bouygue (très grosse boîte française) est présente dans l'île sur divers projets et l'aluminerie Alcan (centre de l'île).
Pour les logements, en Jamaique il n'y a que 2 classes sociales. Donc pratiquement pas de milieu.
Un "guest house" (chambre multiple avec cuisine et salle de séjour commune) négocier au mois est une solution temporaire intéressante et économique par rapport à l'hôtel en attendant une situation stable.

J'ai pas encore mon visa. Je suis en plein les papiers. C'est qu'ils ne rigolent pas. Faut une lettre d'invitation, une attestation bancaire des fonds disponibles pendant le sejour, une lettre d'hébergement enfin plein de papiers je cours dans tous les sens... Le pires c'est qu'on donne seulement une auorisation de séjour pour 1mois et arrivé sur place rebelotte faut tout reprendre à zéro pour avoir le visa longue durée. C'est un peu flippant quand tu te dis qu'on peut te le refuser une fois sur place mais je me prends pas l tête je fais les trucs et on verra.
Je serai sur kingston. Après on verra. Je suis super contente de partir. On se voit sur place. Biz et bon courage.
