Je pars au Maroc avec ma femme samedi 🙂. Dans le guide, il est indiqué de mettre des t-shirts à longues manches et des pantalons. Mais comme il est prévu dans les 40°, je crains que je vais pas supporter cela. En même temps, on est des voyageurs sac-à-dos et on aime voyager en respectant les gens du pays. En plus, c'est le mois du Ramadan, donc j'imagine qu'il faut être encore plus respectueux.
Je vois sur pas mal de discussion qu'on peut très bien aller en short et t-shirt sans manche. ça c'est pour les circuits touristique, mais bon, l'idée pour nous est de bien découvrir la culture locale, de voir ce que le touriste "lambda" ne peut pas voir en quelque sorte. Mais quand-même, l'idée d'être sous plus de 40° avec pantalon et manches longues ne m'enchante pas moult🤪...
Est-ce vraiment mal perçu que je sois en pantacourt, genre bermuda "sous" les genoux, et t-shirt à manche courte?? Et ma femme avec un t-shirt à manche courte (et un pantalon bien entendu...)?`
On envisage aussi d'aller dans l'atlas. FAut-il prendre des habits plus chauds là-bas?
Les Marocains portent bien des t-shirt manches courtes et même des débardeurs.
En "bermuda "sous" les genoux, et t-shirt à manche courte et ma femme avec un t-shirt à manche courte (et un pantalon bien entendu...)" c'est parfait.
Mais prévoir quelque chose de plus chaud si vous devez faire du trecking dans le Haut-Atlas.
Faites comme vous le sentez, selon votre feeling, et n'écoutez pas ce que racontent les guides , et ceux qui n'ont que le mot "respect" à la bouche!
Sans tomber dans l'exces (du genre bimbo à mini short et mini débardeur, brioche à l'air) , un marocain normal ne s'offusquera pas si ta femme est elle aussi en bermuda, et tee shirt ! Ramadan ou pas !
Pour la chaleur, c'est un autre problème, certains préfèrent à juste raison, le coton ou le lin à manches longues !
Pour l'Atlas, au dessus de 2000m prévoyez une ou 2 petites laines de plus !
Et un Kway, les orages arrivent !

Nous sommes retournés au Maroc il y a 1 an pdt le Ramadan et, au vu des Guides - papiers, je m'étais dit que les habitudes avaient évolué et me suis baladée 1 journée , le 30/8 , en pantalon et manches longues , à Rabat .
Vu la manière dont les gens étaient habillés on a changé de technique et , pour ma part, je suis passée aux manches courtes et jupe.
Il faut bien sûr rester dans des limites raisonnables :éviter les mini shorts , c'est une question de bon sens ...

Je suis une jeune marocaine de 30 ans et ai vécu presque tout le temps au Maroc, pas de soucis pour short et t shirts , pour un homme comme d habs c est tranquille, il peut mettre meme un débardeur sans probleme (le smarocains portent souvent des marcels) pour la femme éviter short au dessus des genoux et déberdeur genre moulant mais t shirts manches courtes et pantalon aux genoux vraiment sans probleme. Petit truc: éviter de se ballader pour une femme toute seule, elle risque de se faire embeter, strictement rien de dangereux juste parfois un peu énervant, vaut mieux qu elle soit avec un homme. Pour l atlas prendre pull ou gilet car les nuits sont fraiches (et souvent carrelage et pas de chauffage) Si vous faites des grandesvilles comme Casablanca Rabat ou Marrakech, beaucoup de filles sont habillés vraiment a l occidentale mais version vulgaire, évitez de prendre exemple sur elles, elles sont mal vues et se croient dans un feuilleton du moyen orient :). Profitez du Maroc pour moi!
Ah oui et j oubliais, si votre femme veut mettre une robe pas de soucis non plus, meme débardeur juste pas moulantes ou genre tres dos nus ou trop courte. Apres bien entendu vous faites ce que vous voulez, personne ne vous dira rien si vous vous habillez moulant court bref tout ce que vous voulez, , c est juste une question de respect des coutumes locales c est tout, et comme vous semblez les respectez et c est tout à votre honneur, je conseille :) (je préfère ca que la femme top less que j ai vu il y a quelques mois dans une piscine de marrakech devant des serveurs marocains médusés :) ceci dit je ne suis pas sure que ca leur ai vraiment déplu :) )

Médusés !!!!😉😉😉 il y en a dans tous les hotels , ce n'est pas une rareté !!! les serveurs ils s'en tapent (quand ils ne se les tapent pas ??? peut etre ce qu'elles cherchent ??)
Quand au chapitre habituel sur le fameux "respect de coutumes locales", il faudrait peut etre le ramener à la réalité et ne pas en faire une légende.

jamais je ne me suis fait embêter, et pourtant je me promène très souvent seule, par contre on me dit trop souvent bonjour à mon goût, mais celà s'arrête là.
C'est vrai qu'il n'y pas plus déségréable que de dire bonjour à des gens qu'on ne connaît pas. Je préfère l'ambiance métro où l'on est là, parqués comme du bétail et où personne ne parle à personne. C'est plus humain comme attitude.

Je vous coseil de respecter la sensibilité des Marocain et prendre des T-shirt legées en balnc:sa vous aide a se proteger des coups de soleil aussi.En Atlas il est conseillé de prendre votre laine, coupe vent..il fais moins chaur et la nuit est bein fraiche et par fois froide!Bref le MAroc est un pays de contraste en terme de couleur et de climat.

Moi j'ai un petit faible pour ce pays et pour la convivialité et le côté chaleureux qu'on ne trouve pas "chez nous", alors ce genre de réflexion me laisse plutôt perplexe.... 😠
Habilles toi donc comme tu veux et personne ne te dira quoi que ce soit. Je vis au Maroc, ma femme est marocaine musulmane pratiquante et cela ne l'empêche pas de sortir bras nus ou en jupe ou comme elle a envie. De toute façon très peu de marocaines respectent encore la tenue car même si elles portent un foulard, elles mettent un pull moulant avec un jean collant ce qui est complètement interdit puisqu'elles ne doivent pas montrer leurs formes, alors il faut arrêter avec ces histoire de respect de ceci ou cela. Le Maroc évolue et tout en respectant la religion il est accepté de se vêtir comme bon le semble.
moi je préfère les manches longue et pantalons amples en lin ou coton et si possible de couleur claire
cela peut paraitre bizarre mais on a moins chaud comme ça puisque cela capte le moindre souffle d'air 😏
moi je trouve que des vétements serrés, genre corsaires pour une femme, c'est horrible pour la chaleur
après oui chacun est libre et tant que tu ne te balladeras pas torse nu dans les villes et villages, cela se passera bien

j'en reviens de Maroc j'etais en club à Marrakech nous avons fais plusieurs sorties . tu peux facilement te mettre en bermudas ou pantacourt avac un tee shirt ou débardeur idem pour ta femme bien sur pas de gros décolletè .nous avons fais les terres berberes et franchement ils sont assez tolèrent.par contre pour l'atlas aucune idèe.pour les 40° ne t'inquiéte pas la bas c'est une chaleur séche ce n'est pas les 40° de paris .

Je ne vais pas répondre pour le maroc mais au moins pour Marrakech.
2 ans passés à arpenter la ville, j'ai pu observé le manège, les marrachis (les jeunes) sont vraiment trés pénibles envers les jeunes filles, c'était désobligeant, impoli, insolant leur façon de faire.
Ma fille de 18 ans, pourtant habillée correctement et mieux que les marocaines trés provoquantes elles, ne sortait que rarement tellement elle était enmerdée. (ce faisant traiter de salope, demandant si elle suç..., un grand jeu national car trés rigolo apparement). C'est vrai que une touriste en 8 jours voit mieux c'est choses en sortant d'un hotel et en restant dans les milieux toutistiques, je dois fabuler.
Je marchais 5m derrière pour les voir faire et les arrêter, faisant 1m90 bizarrement ils faisaient moins les malins. ( grande gueule mais de loin).
Je vais passer pour un raciste mais certains de toute façon me rejoindront mais en france on a les mêmes de la même nationalité ou pays voisins, c'est une culture.
Je généralise d'accord mais en terme de pourcentage et statistique, je suis sur de ce que j'avance même si la vérité déplait.
Je connais des marocains qui contredise ce que je dis et cela je les adorre car ils largement meilleur que la plupart des français.

lol j ai vécu 18 ans au maroc bien sur qu on se fait embeter, quand je dis embeter c est rien de grave ni mechant mais c est genre "bonjour mademoiselle avec 2 ailes, on peut prendre un café? mm vous etes tres belle, délicieuse "bla bla bla, demandez a n importe quelle marocaine qui habite au maroc si elle se fait parfosi embeter dans la rue et vosu verrez ce qu elle vous répondra. Franchement, ca m 'énerve quand des francais viennent expliquer au xmarocains qui habitent au maroc comment ca se pâsse chez eux :). Maintenant oui si vous mettez une djellaba ou si vous faites que la majorelle vosu vous ferez pas embeter, mais allez dans des quartiers normaux populaires marocains en tenue occidentale et toute seule, je vous defie de marcher 30 min sans vous faire embeter. A moins que depuis 5 ans le maroc s est métamorphosé!
We want to do a few safaris, visit villages, the mountains, see tea plantations, etc. But we also want to see turtles. We love snorkeling but aren’t experts—we’re just happy to see colorful fish and coral. We’ve always wanted to see turtles too, so the idea is still to see *something* underwater 😊

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

What would be the ideal month to explore Oman without extreme heat or rain? November?
Also, it’s best to avoid visiting the wadis on weekends—does that mean Saturday and Sunday?
This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.
Which region would you recommend?
Given that I’ve already traveled quite a bit in this country, and in any case, I’ll be discovering places I don’t know yet. No need for a major tourist hotspot or luxury comfort.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊

Hello, We’re heading to Finnish Lapland near Rovaniemi as a family at the end of February with two kids (8 and 14 years old). We’ve got direct flights with Luxairstours. The itinerary is already set, but I’m wondering if anyone has traveled with Luxair before and knows exactly what kind of clothes they provide on the second day? The agency just told me it’s a heavy-duty cold-weather suit. I’m thinking we should get Sorel Caribou boots, maybe second-hand. Here’s what I’ve already planned:
- Thermolactyl leggings and tights from Damart for the whole family as a base layer.
- A first layer of Damart socks + Nordic Stocks socks in 70% merino wool for all four of us.
- Loose fleece layers, including some Polartec.
- Ski pants for hikes.
- For my son and me, a The North Face Himalayan down parka with a hood.
- A ski parka for my husband and my 14-year-old daughter (she *really* wants a Roxy one—I hope it’ll be warm enough).
- For myself, for the flight and the first day at Santa’s village, I’ve packed The North Face winter hiking pants, a long-sleeve merino wool top from Decathlon (thin), a fleece, and my big parka.
I’m wondering if I should just pack fleece joggers or sweatpants for the kids and my husband, at least for the first and last days, to be comfortable on the plane?
I’m also planning to buy balaclavas and neck warmers in addition to our beanies, as well as mittens for all of us. I really need advice because I have no idea—I’ve never been skiing! Also, for a 4-night, 5-day trip, should I pack a second set of base layers, like from Odlo?
Of course, I’ll be leaving cotton clothes out of the suitcase.
As you can tell, I’m someone who gets cold easily—especially my feet, hands, and ears—so that’s my biggest worry. I *don’t* want to be cold, even at -20°C during dog sledding, snowmobiling, or aurora hunting when we might be standing still. We won’t be in the city, and the kids will likely spend most of their time outside, as they usually do.
