J'ai 17 ans et je part 10 mois en Inde (dans l'état du Gujarat) , départ en aout 2010. pendant ces 10 mois j'irais en cours dans un lycée indien et serais hébergé par des familles indiennes. Seulement je ne connais rien au système scolaire indien (matières étudiées, congés scolaires, emplois du temps d'une semaine typique, système d'évaluation, ...), en sachant que je suis inscris dans la filière "commerce".
J'ai déjà cherché ces informations sur de nombreux sites sans jamais trouver d'informations concrètes.
D'après ton âge tu ne devrais plus être au lycée en Inde, mais commencer les études supérieures.
NIVEAUX
Il n'y a pas comme chez nous d'écoles maternelles, primaires, de collèges, ni de lycées.
Chaque école assure l'enseignement pour tous les niveaux existant de 3 à 16 ans, du Kinder Garden au Higher Secondary.
Voici la liste de ces niveaux que les Indiens appellent "standards".
KINDER GARDEN (maternelle)
3 ans: Lower Kinder Garden
4 ans: Upper Kinder Garden
SECONDARY SCHOOL (primaire)
5 ans: 1st standard
6 ans: 2nd standard
7 ans: 3rd standard
8 ans: 4th standard
9 ans: 5th standard
10 ans: 6th standard
11 ans: 7th standard
HIGH SCHOOL (collège)
12 ans: 8th standard
13 ans: 9th standard
14 ans: 10th standard
HIGHER SECONDARY (lycée)
15 ans: 11th standard
16 ans: 12th standard
A la fin de chaque année scolaire, il y a un examen pour passer dans la classe supérieure. Il faut obtenir un minimum de 35/100 pour ne pas redoubler. Les sujets de l'examen sont à la discrétion de chaque école.
A la fin du 9th standard, cela se corse car la note minimum est de 50/100. C'est le grand filtrage avant le State Board de l'année suivante.
A la fin du 10th standard, c'est l'examen national appelé State Board, qui va permettre d'accéder au niveau HIGHER SECONDARY. La note minimum requise est de 35/100.
A la fin du 11th standard, il y a un gros examen dont la note minimum requise est de 70/200.
Rebelote à la fin du 12th standard, mais cette fois c'est un State Board, qui permet d'accéder au monde universitaire. 70/200 minimum.
L'université compte deux grands niveaux:
- College (3 ans d'études), divisée en Professional et Arts. Dans le domaine commercial, on est dans la section Arts, pour obtenir le diplôme de Bachelor of Commerce.
- University (2 ans d'études permettant d'obtenir un Master)

j'ai été inscrit dans un "higher secondary" et selon ma famille d'accueille je serais dans une classe de "11th standard". je serais nettement plus âgé que les autres mais cela m'est égal car je ne reste que pour 10 mois et ne passe pas d'examen en fin d'année.
Ah, mais alors, si tu connais ta famille d'accueil, tu vas pouvoir leur demander les dates des vacances au Gujarat!
J'espère que tu nous donneras des nouvelles de ton expérience dans ce système scolaire à l'ancienne où l'on porte l'uniforme, et où le mot discipline signifie encore quelque chose.

Tu auras un examen d'entree( je crois obligatoire) et l'ecole decidera si tu rentre en 11eme ou 12 eme standart.
Ensuite c'est du par-coeur a la virgule pres!
Ma fille rentre en 5 eme standard.
Elle a commence au 2eme standard apres examen.

je part avec le rotary, ce n'est qu'un séjour, je n'ai ni examen d'entrée ni examen de fin d'année, je n'ai pas besoin d'écouter en classe et je ferais des interrogations et j'aurais des devoirs seulement dans les matière ou les professeurs jugent que je suis capable d'en faire bien que ces notes n'apparaitront pas dans mon dossier, bien sûr cela ne m'empêchera pas d'écouter en classe et d'être sérieux ^^ . en conclusion mon année en Inde est considéré comme sabbatique. mon séjour est principalement culturel et je ferais une terminale une fois de retour en France.
(et si j'ai un examen en anglais je serais bien embêtée puisque je parle a peine cette langue, j'au un anglais très scolaire)
