il se trouve, que, comme beaucoup de personnes (je pense), nous voulons fuir la vie métropolitaine. Et, à force de me promener sur le net, je suis tombé sur le site de voyage forum. Et là, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de regarder le forum sur les antilles puisque nous y avons fait un voyage (guadeloupe/martinique) il y a déjà... pfff!!!... 6 ans. Il nous est toujours resté l'envie, si l'occasion se présentait, d'y retourner, et pourquoi pas, y vivre. Mais, charge de famille oblige, on ne peut pas partir sur un coup de tête.
Les questions que nous nous posons aujourd'hui, sont, principalement, axées sur les écoles et collèges. J'ai cru comprendre, en lisant les forums, qu'il y a plusieurs sortent d'écoles et collèges. Nous pensons nous installer vers ste anne (guadeloupe). Nous avons remarqué qu'il y a plusieurs écoles de niveaux très différents. Quelqu'un pourrait-il nous éclairer afin que nos enfants ne perdent pas trop ce qu'ils ont eu tant de mal à retenir jusque là ? sachant de nous avons 3 enfants de 13 ans qui rentre en 4e, 11 ans qui rentre en 6e et 8 ans qui rentre en CE2. merci

Je suis un métropolitain retraité, qui a vecu en Guadeloupe depuis 1982 et avant la Martinique.
Une réalité: passer des vacances et y vivre sont 2 choses bien différente.
Trouver du travail, pas facile, un parcour du combattant.
Pour l'éducation des enfants, le mieux c'est St francois, une villegiature.

Selon moi, le travail ne manque pas pour ceux qui ne sont pas fainéants et la Guadeloupe est actuellement en plein développement économique : Jarry est devenue la 1ere zone industrielle de France ! Avec de bonnes compétences et une belle expérience, il y a de l'emploi : j'ai trouvé 1 poste 2 semaines après mon arrivée il y a de cela + de 12 ans... Par contre pour les enfants, l'adaptation peut s'avérer difficile, voire très, surtout si ils ne parlent pas créole... Pour le collège et le lycée, ma préférence irais plutôt à Massabielle (privé) à Pointe-à-Pitre, pour le niveau et la fréquentation. Enfin, je pense qu'il faut être très entouré par de la famille et/ou des amis pour que l'expérience soit positive. Pour les adultes, pas de problème, mais pour les enfants, réfléchissez bien 😉.

j'avoue que je suis perdue, perplexe, indécise à force de glaner les infos à droite à gauche car la décision de nous installer en guadeloupe avec nos deux enfants ( 5 et 9 ans) malgré un poste qui attend mon mari à Pointe à Pitre, est difficile!
je culpabilise d'avance de faire vivre une expérience si traumatisante à nos enfants alors qu'elle me semblait super enrichissante?!Y a -t-il un réel problème d'intégration -barriére langue créole-?
Où faudrait-il envisager de louer,
et d'inscrire les enfants?
pour ma part je cherche un mi temps pharmacie ou hôpital pour préparer le concours d'éduc spé si quelqu'un avait des infos sur l'école qui n'a pas de site et ne communique de dossier de candidature que s'il on est sur place....je me demande ce que ces modalités trés spécifiques présagent?

Je suis désolée d'avoir pu paraître pessimiste 😊. Je ne veux surtout pas vous décourager. Pour ce qui est de la langue, je pense qu'on peut préparer les enfants au changement : il existe pas mal de bouquins avec des contes créoles, des mini dictionnaires créoles, bref, toute une panoplie d'ouvrages pour les familiariser à leur futur environnement. Pour le logement, cela dépend des horaires de travail : il y a beaucoup d'embouteillages et personnellement, je n'aurais pas le courage de faire le trajet Pointe-à-Pitre/St François aux heures de pointe... pourtant certains le font et j'avoue que St François est une commune très agréable ! Ne culpabilisez pas, chacun fait sa propre expérience, qui est différente pour tous ! J'ai connu des personnes qui se sont très bien adaptées, d'autres qui ont préféré repartir... Pour l'exemple : mon fils qui fait ses études en métropole est malheureux loin de son île, par contre ma fille qui est partie depuis 2 ans n'a pas envie de revenir pour le moment ; quant à nous, les parents, il est pour nous impensable de vivre autre part ! 😉

alors autre question faut-il envisager un logement sur pointe à pitre? beaucoup le déconseillent...à votre avis?

Je suis de leur avis... Pointe-à-Pitre est bien le seul endroit de l'île où je ne me vois pas du tout vivre 🤪 Par contre, j'aime y faire du lèche-vitrine car le centre ville est très riche en commerces, c 1 vraie caverne d'Ali Baba. Si j'étais à votre place, avec un emploi sur Pointe-à-Pitre, j'aurais cherché un logement de préférence sur Baie-Mahault ou Petit-Bourg, puis Le Gosier, Les Abymes (en campagne bien sûr)... 😉
salut moi j'ai fait les 2 iles, ma filles avait 10 ans quand nous sommes arrivée, 6 ans de martinique et elle n'a pas eu de problème a l'ecole ensuite la guadeloupe, depuis 7 ans pas de problème non plus elle a fait un bts gestion comptabilité et maitenant elle travaille et elle n'a pas appris le créole et elle ne le parle pas ses amis sont pour la plus par des antillais et cela ne la géne en rien .

Mes parents ont toujours voyagé énormément... on déménageait tous les 4 ans depuis que je suis née entre: polynésie, canada, france....
Juste pour te dire que je ne suis pas traumatisée au contraire.Je suis très contente d'avoir vécu toutes ces expériences. Enfant on a pas de mal a réellement s'integrer meme si des fois a tahiti on me disait de retourner en france. Les enfants ont moins de préjugés, ils sont beaucoup plus tolérant avec les autres et surtout les enfants ont une capacité d'adaptation assez impressionante.
Par contre moi c'est plus vers l'adolescence que j'ai commencé à en avoir marre. C'est normal c'est plus dur de quitter ses amis, les amourettes commencent et la crises d'adolescence est très présente.
en tout cas moi ca m'a permis d'être beaucoup plus ouverte, de m'adapter facilement ce qui est très bien vu maintenant au niveau professionnel, et d'avoir envie de découvrir. Je pense que ce sont des choses importante dans la vie et je trouve ca génial d'apporter et d'offrir ces notions à ses enfants.
Ne t'inquiète pas pour tes enfants. Ce sera peut-être dur au début le temps de faire ses marques mais vu la destination à mon avis ça ne posera pas de souci.
J'espère t'avoir un peu aidé en te faisant par de mon vécu à moi.

J'ai vecu en Guadeloupe pendant 1an 1/2 sur basse terre (bourg cafe), pour le travail il y en a dans le domaine du tourisme, mais cela reste dur a trouver .Pour l'ecole je ne vois pas de probleme avec la langue enfin..les guadeloupeens parlent Francais 🙂 et les enfants vont vite apprendre des mots de creole.
Nous avons une amie avec 6 enfants qui habitait sur st anne et avec les enfants (de 3 a 12 ans) pas de problemes.

Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
