Vous aurez du mal à trouver des immunoglobulines humaines en dehors des grandes villes.
Dans certains pays, vous trouverez peut-être encore des vaccins sur tissus nerveux, d'efficacité discutable.

Pas vers les capitales, mais vers les grandes villes qui disposent d'hopitaux avec des traitements anti-rabiques, ce qui est beaucoup plus large....................!
Maintenant, si tu desires passer du temps dans des endroits completement isoles (genre des iles eloignees), mieux vaut en effet prendre les devants et vous faire vacciner, ne serait-ce que pour ..........................te tranquilliser car voyager avec ce type de stress (que je comprends parfaitement), ce n'est plus vraiment.......................................................des vacances!😉

(Si vous le désirez, ces questions ont pour but de vous conseiller sur un éventuel vaccin préventif...)
Concernant la liste des hôpitaux disposant de traitement anti rabique, il n'existe pas partout de politique nationale de prévention du risque et de "prophylaxie post exposition" ; les conditions de prise en charge des populations sont variables ( compte tenu du coût des vaccins). En tant qu'étrangers/ touristes, vous rentrerez en général dans un circuit de santé spécifique, d'hôpitaux privés utilisés par la frange la plus riche de la population locale. Ce réseau est présent dans les grandes villes (et les lieux touristiques).
La spécificité pour le problème de la rage, c'est le réseau des Instituts Pasteur (en particulier au Cambodge).

mon souci est est ce que je vais trouver le vaccin dans tous les pays où je vais (grandes villes);

La vaccination préventive est conseillée pour des conditions de voyage isolé, sans possibilité de rejoindre rapidement une grande ville (trek ou vélo, par exemple), en zone de fort risque (Inde, par exemple). Ce n'est pas votre cas a priori.
Le vaccin n'est pas réservé à ma connaissance, en ASE, à des centres agréés, mais disponible dans les hôpitaux et dispensaires soit plus ou moins gratuitement dans le cadre d'un programme national (et c'est là que vous risquez de trouver des vaccins moins efficaces ou plus dangereux), soit pour les vaccins modernes et surtout les IG humaines à ceux qui peuvent les payer. Donc en cas de problème, faites désinfecter et parer la plaie au plus proche dispensaire, et dirigez vous ensuite plutôt vers une grande ville (ou une zone touristique) où vous trouverez un hôpital de niveau "international" (privé ou public d'ailleurs). Si doute, n'hésitez pas à appeler votre société d'assistance pour conseil.
Les deux pôles de référence sur le plan médical, de votre trajet sont Bangkok et Singapour: Vous y trouverez de la médecine au top niveau mondial.
Par contre, la vaccination préalable pour les enfants est à discuter selon leur âge, car:
- risque plus important car morsures à la tête plus fréquentes vu la taille
- moins de capacités de se protéger face à des animaux agressifs
- contaminations de type léchage, griffures, ... qui peuvent passer inaperçues.
Parlez en à votre médecin traitant (qui peut pratiquer la vaccination préventive à son cabinet, contrairement à la vaccination post-exposition réservée en France aux Centres Anti Rabiques)
vous voulez dire alors qu'il y a un vaccin préventif différent de celui qui se fait à J - 30 J-15 et J-8 ?
Car en me renseignant , je pouvais les vacciner uniquement que dans un hopital à nice et pas chez le généraliste; est ce différent ?
En effet, je panique plus pour la rage que le palu ou autres maladies; d'autant plus que ma petite n'a que 4 ans !

Le vaccin préventif ("pré-exposition") peut être administré par tout médecin. Cela peut se faire en Centre de Vaccinations Internationales ou en dispensaire, si votre généraliste préfère. 3 injections: J0, J7, J21 ou 28.
Pour un enfant de 4 ans, je serais enclin à le conseiller, pour les raisons données dans mon message précédent.
Le vaccin dit "curatif" (c'est à dire après la morsure ou l'exposition) ne se fait en France qu'en Centre Anti Rabique (schéma en général à 4 injections)
A noter que le vaccin préventif ne dispense pas de consulter en cas de morsure ou d'exposition, mais:
- il laisse plus de temps pour le faire
- l'utilisation d'immunoglobulines est alors inutile
- un contrôle par prise de sang de l'immunité, et éventuellement 2 injections seulement de rappel de vaccin, suffisent

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

Once symptoms appear—sometimes weeks or even months later—death is inevitable.
It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
