J'ai 26 ans et je souhaite me fixer de nouveaux objectifs. Mon principal objectif est de partir à Madagascar pour 2/3 semaines afin d'y effectuer un travail humanitaire ou d'interêt général... J'aimerai beaucoup être hébergée dans une famille d'accueil pour vivre au plus prés de la population et découvrir les diverses cultures Malgaches...
Je voulais savoir si vous aviez des adresses de personnes, d'associations, d'orphelinats pour m'aider à effectuer ce voyage. Je me laisse un an pour préparer ce voyage (pour Février ou Mars 2011).

pour vivre chez l'habitant je te proposes de prendre des contacts sur le site Couchsurfing http://www.couchsurfing.org/mapsurf.html comme je l'ai fait ; tu peux rester plusieurs jours dans une famille et changer après pour ne pas être trop "envahissante". Tu peux vivre ainsi avec différentes familles et quartiers (je te laisse le lien pour mon blog où je raconte mon expérience http://bayonne-et-autour.over-blog.com/categorie-11268750.html ).
pour l'association, je te conseille de prendre contact avec "la marmaille à la case", www.marmaillealacase.free.fr une assoc qui fait un super travail dans un village éloigné de tout où tu pourras vraiment vivre avec la population (encore un lien sur mon expérience dans cette assoc : http://bayonne-et-autour.over-blog.com/categorie-11076658.html ).

ONG Le Bel Avenir à Tuléar (et Ifaty-Mangily à côté). C'est un orphelinat et les gens qui s'en occupent sont sérieux. Je peux te donner aussi le n° de téléphone d'un monsieur qui a créé 3 centres d'handicapés mentaux à Mada. Mais là, c'est déjà plus difficile comme travail. Bon courage et bon séjour sur place, ce sera une belle expérience pour toi.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
