J'ai pour projet de partir un an aux USA d'ici Septembre 2015. J'ai 17 ans et j'aurais 18 lors de mon départ. Alors voilà, j'aimerais vos avis sur les organismes que vous connaissez, ceux que vous avez choisi pour partir etc... J'aimerais trouver un organisme pas trop cher et si possible qui offre des réductions ou bourses. J'attends vos réponses avec impatience :)

Quand je parlais de pas trop cher, je voulais dire moins de 5000 euros, mais je réalise que c'est impossible. Je souhaitais étudier les cours normaux aux USA, je suis actuellement au pair en Angleterre pour un an, donc je n'aurais pas besoin de suivre des cours d'anglais, ou alors peu. J'ai chercher par tous les moyens comment faire pour pouvoir partir aux USA à mes 18 ans, au pair je peux pas car le BAC et le permis sont obligatoires, choses que je n'ai pas. Etudier un an c'est beaucoup trop cher. Alors je me demande si il est possible de partir sans organisme ? J'ai trouvé la possibilité de trouver une famille pour pas trop cher, mais je ne sais pas comment ça se passe pour le Visa ?

Sans organisme, tu ne peux pas avoir le visa spécial pour les au pairs (J-1)
Tu peux toujours techniquement partir avec un visa touriste (6 mois) mais saches que c'est illégal ! Si tu te fais attraper, tu peux avoir des problèmes sérieux! De plus, si tu as un problème avec la famille, tu n'as personne vers qui te tourner.
Certaines agences acceptent les filles qui n'ont pas le bac (à condition d'avoir un diplôme de fin d'étude, du type BEP etc..) Par contre, pour le permis de conduire, il me semble que c'est obligatoire pour tous les organismes.
C'est à toi de voir ce que tu veux faire. Mais ça vaut peut-être le coup de passer ton permis pour partir, plutôt que de te mettre dans l’illégalité. Enfin ce n'est que mon avis.
Comme l'a écrit Marionnnnett, pour être au pair légalement aux Etats Unis, il faut un visa J1 et pour obtenir ce visa il faut passer par un organisme.
Il faut le BAC ou une équivalence (Are a secondary school graduate, or equivalent) et le permis.
Si tu as un diplôme de fin d'étude, il faut voir avec les organismes.
Pour le permis, rien ne t'empêche de le passer.
Alors je me demande si il est possible de partir sans organisme ? J'ai trouvé la possibilité de trouver une famille pour pas trop cher, mais je ne sais pas comment ça se passe pour le Visa ?
Tu peux partir sans visa, avec l'ESTA, pour une période de 90 jours maximum. Il existe des sites pour trouver des familles (Greataupair...). Mais tu travailleras illégalement avec tous les risques que cela entraine : pas d'assurance, aucun contrat car même si tu signes un papier avec ta famille il n'aura aucune valeur et tu te retrouveras toute seule à des milliers de km en cas de problème.....
Alors réfléchis bien avant de te lancer dans une telle aventure.
Je ne veux pas y aller dans l'illégalité, j'ai bien trop peur. Mais ce n'est pas pour être au pair, (regardez le titre 😉)car j'ai du contacter tous les organismes que j'ai trouvé sur internet et je peux pas être au pair aux USA car j'ai pas le BAC ni un équivalent. Et pour le visa J-1 il faut le BAC obligatoirement. Du coup j'ai penser à partir avec un organisme pour étudier à l'université mais c'est carrément trop cher pour moi !! Si tu n'as pas le bac, tu ne peux pas aller à l'université. Tu as deux solutions:
- high-school (mais je ne suis pas familière avec le sujet, regarde les autres posts sur le forum)
- écoles de langue (Kaplan, Calvin Thomas, etc...), là je peux te donner un peu plus d'information:
En général tu peux réserver les cours et l'hébergement séparément, donc tu peux sûrement être logée dans la famille d'accueil que tu as trouvé. Sinon, ils proposent en général l'hébergement en résidence ou en famille d'accueil choisies par leurs soins.
En dessous de 3 mois et moins de 20h de cours par semaine: pas besoin de visa F-1, tu peux partir avec un ESTA.
Si tu prends plus de 20h par semaine ou que tu comptes rester plus de 3 mois, l'école te fournira un I-20 et tu devras faire une demande de visa.
Sachant que ce genre d'école n'est pas donné, et pas de bourses possibles. Mais ça peut peut-être te permettre de partir quelques temps en restant dans ton budget (je crois que c'est autour de 200/300€ la semaine de cours en moyenne.... pas sûre sur ce coup là)
Si comme tu dis plus haut, tu ne veux pas du tout suivre de cours d'anglais, je ne vois pas trop d'autre solution pour toi...
Si tu veux obtenir des bourses, il te faut être une excellente élève ou exceller dans un sport.
pour étudier en HS sous J1, il faut passer par un organisme. Il n'est pas nécessaire d'avoir le bac et c'est moins cher si on part après a 2e ou la 1e.

J'ai contacté tous les organismes que j'ai trouvé et ils m'ont tous dit que c'était obligatoire pour obtenir le visa. Non Marion, Fée rêvée n'accepte pas sans le Bac car l'ambassade américaine ne donne des visa qu'aux personnes qui ont un diplôme et comme j'ai arrêté l'école en Décembre et que j'ai 17 ans, je n'ai pas de diplôme.

tu ne peux pas reprendre l'école et finir?
ça te simplifierait la vie :)
Surtout que ça te permettrait de t'inscrire à une agence
en expliquant que tu auras le bac à la fin de l'année, et
que tu pourrais donc partir en septembre.
(Il y a beaucoup de demandes en janvier, avec des jeunes
qui laissent tomber leurs études après un semestre, et
il faut souvent 3-6 mois à ce moment-là pour obtenir un poste.)

Et de toute façon là je suis en Angleterre en tant qu'au pair donc je vais pas rentrer pour reprendre l'école. Je partirais pas aux USA en tant qu'au pair c'est tout. Je te conseille de passer par un organisme si tu veux partir aux USA car ce sera plus facile d'obtenir ton visa. En revanche, sans ton bac, tu ne peux pas étudier dans une université. Mais si cela t'intéresse, tu peux suivre des cours dans une école de langues, afin de voir la vie sur un campus américain, mais pour aller plus loin, il faudra passer le bac.
Moi je suis passée par un de ces organismes pour aller étudier un an dans le Missouri. Le programme que j'ai suivi était pour étudier dans une université avec une bourse, mais l'organisme propose également des écoles de langues. Si cela t'intéresse, il s'appelle Calvin Thomas. Si ton dossier est accepté, tu recevras l'aide nécessaire à l'obtention du visa et pour effectuer toutes les démarches administratives (assez longues).

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
