PE en métropole nous envisageons mon conjoint et moi de partir pour Mayotte (60 postes à pourvoir) nous nous interrogeons sur la possibilité d'enseigner en primaire à Mayotte compte tenu du problème de la langue maternelle.
Merci de nous éclairer un peu et de nous faire part de votre expérience dans les écoles primaires publiques.
je comprends vos questions car je suis à Mayotte dans le secondaire , certe, mais la situation n'y est déjà pas facile alors dans le primaire...il faut vous attendre à rencontrer des difficultés auxquelles vous ne songez même pas!Par contre , personnellement, vivre ici ça peut être super.Nous c'est notre deuxième séjour et j'adore...
nous avons enseigné longtemps en guadeloupe où le créole est la langue maternelle mais la classe se faisait en français, même en maternelle. J'aimerai des précisions sur l'enseignement pratiqué dans les classes primaires à Mayotte car je nous vois mal apprendre la langue locale à peine débarqués.
Je me pose également des questions quant à la scolarité de mes enfants qui rentreront respectivement en 3°, 6° et PS de maternelle. Si vous avez des conseils, je suis preneuse !
vous étiez en guadeloupe et je veux d'obtenir une mut là-bas.Justement j'aurai des questions à vous poser..pas ce soir!Au sujet du primaire c'est qu'en effet , sauf ds les écoles privées, qques maîtres font la classe en shimaoré qd ils n'ont pas d'enfants métro mais le pb c'est que bcp n'ont pas été formés.L'IFM est récent ici.Certains anciens maîtres ont un niveau CM2.Ensuite ils a ceux qui ont bac(...)+2 ans IFM et maintenant je crois 2 ans post bac + 2ans IFM.Le pb est surtout "en brousse" , à Mamoudzou, c'est différent , je pense.Quant au collège , c'est pareil:plus de chance à Mamoudzou de trouver des classes avec des enfants qui comprennent et parlent bien le français.Mais il faut pouvoir vivre à Mamoudzou.Certains ne vivraient pas ailleurs.Nous nous avons privilégié la qualité de vie en brousse et finalement nos filles s'en sortent bien qu'au 1° séjour elles aient fréquenté l'école maternelle et primaire du village:ns avons eu la chance detomber sur de bons maîtres mahorés et un IMF métro en CP.
Par contre maintenant qu'elles vont aborder le lycée il nous faut rectifier un peu le tir, je pense.Entre les 2 séjours elles ont fréquenté l'école française de Yaoundé donc il y a moindre mal.

Je me permets de vous répondre ayant pu enseigner 5 ans à mayotte (1997-2002).
Vous vous posez des questions quant à la langue maternelle. Il est vrai que les enfants arrivant en maternelle ne connaissent pas un mot de français, mais comme pour tout enseignement, il y a ceux désireux d'apprendre et les autres...A présent si vous bossez dans les classes de maternelle vous serez assistés par des ATSEM qui pourront traduire. Perso je suis toujours parvenue à comprendre les enfants et au pire si je comprenais pas je demandais à un collègue de m'aider. Par ailleurs j'ai acquis quelques bases de shimaoré afin de m'aider au quotidien.
Après si vous êtes avec des enfants à partir du CP ces derniers auront eu déjà une approche du français, et là comme je l'ai dit précédemment vous aurez ceux désireux de bosser, comprendre etc...et d'autres enfants qui seront soit moins motivés, soit qui auront de vraies difficultés (pour autre motif que la motivation). La barrière de la langue est un obstacle certes, mais pas insurmontable.
Il faut à présent espérer que le français est plus répandu et apprécié qu'à cette époque. Je me souviens de jeunes mahorais de ma promotion à l'ifm qui disaient être mal vus parce qu'ils parlaient le français!!! On leur disait "tu fais ton m'zoungou!".

Pour notre départ en guadeloupe nous étions + relax car sans enfants, là nous nous apprétons à vivre cette aventure avec des variables supplémentaires :3 enfants et un chien ! D'ailleurs au sujet du chien on nous conseille de le laisser en métropole car il ne serait pas le bienvenu à Mayotte , qu'en pensez-vous ?
Il est vrai que les chiens ne sont pas bien aimés à mayotte. Les chiens errants sont canardés, voir empoisonnés!!! Les mahorais ne les apprécient pas plus que ça.
Si vous prenez des précautions pour ne pas laisser votre chien aller seul dehors, cela devrait aller je pense.
A présent je n'ai jamais vu de m'zoungou venir avec un animal de compagnie.
Pour ce qui est de vos enfants cela va être une superbe expérience: s'ils aiment la mer!!!

Je m'interroge quant à la scolarisation de ma petite dernière (2 ans 1/2) qui devrait théoriquement rentrer en PS de maternelle (3 ans en décembre 2010) : y a t'il des écoles maternelles à mayotte, à quel âge prend on les enfants ?
les 2 grands sont au collège, je me fais moins de soucis pour eux.
Et pour le déménagement : que faut-il ammener (meubles, voiture ...) et que peut on trouver sur place ?

Je m'apprete à venir travailler à Mamoudzou au CHM. Je viens avec une amie en janvier et sa famille viendra nous rejoindre en février. Quel est le coin à privilégier sur mayotte si on cherche un peu de tranquilité tout en etant proche du travail. Dans un premier temps pas de voiture sur place pour moi. Mon amie qui vient avec sa famille prévoit de faire passer sa voiture avec TRANSCAUSSE. Qu'en pensez vous, de cette société de déménagement. Voiture est une espace. On voudrait donc remplir la voiture de cartons et le devis tout compris 3200 euros. Est-ce fiable? Je voudrais savoir ce qui est taxée. Peut on ammener des consommables tel que café, gel douche, lessive. Et pour Internet peut on facilement communiquer avec la métrople quel est le prix de l'appel? Et l'ordi peut on utiliser la Web cam... Quels sont les inspensables de Mayotte? Merci de vos réponses
Bonsoir: si vous venez travailler sur Mamoudzou, il seble raisonnable d'y vivre aussi afin d'éviter les emboueillages en venat du nord ou du sud.Une autre solution acceptable:vivre en Petite Terre et parendre la barge chaque matin ( 20 mn de trajet)et un peu de marche à pied pour aller à l'hôpital ou prendre un taxi.Le pb c'est la chaleur.En vivant sur Mamoudzou, on peut se dispenser d'avoir un véhicule pour travailler .par contre pour sortir de Mamoudzou, cela me smble indispensable mais certains s'en passent car ils sont encore chers.Je ne connais pas du tout Trazncausse et je n'en ai jms entendu parler:attention aux choses qui sont mises dans les voitures et disparaissent.Il faut vraiment réfléchir aux taxes et aussi aux éventuelles pièces à changer et à leur prix à Mayotte sans compter que les voitures trop modernes sont difficlement réparables ( pas de spécialistes en électronique).Par contre , on trouve de TOUT sur place:pas besoin de charger la voiture.Les connexions par internet sont "acceptables" mais plus rapides sur la capitale qu'ailleurs et la vidéo est possile.Ne craignez rien:Mayotte est une île super et la vie est très agréable(les enfants adorent) mais mon expérience ( 8 ans) est celle d'un village de brousse.

comme Psyche je pense qu'il vaut mieux pour vous vivre sur Mamoudzou; Si les distances paraissent ridicules en km les conditions de circulation et les embouteillages peuvent les rendre vite insupportables ! Une autre solution si vous en avez un peu l'habitude c'est le scooter, très pratique pour les petits déplacements (mais la saison des pluies arrive...), sinon les taxis circulent partout sur l'île.
Pour le déménagement nous avions emporté notre voiture mais dans un container individuel, si elle voyage en groupage il y a de fortes chances qu'elle soit "visitée" avant l'arrivée.
On trouve de tout ici, à des prix plus élevés qu'en métropole bien sûr mais le marché de l'occasion permet de s'équiper raisonnablement. Vous pouvez consulter par mail le journal local de petites annonces, le 97-6 (et même le recevoir gratuitement tous les vendredi) pour le logement, le mobilier et même les véhicules, vous vous ferez ainsi une idée (adresse mail : le97-6@wanadoo.fr)
Pour internet, ça fonctionne mais très très lentement, pour les tarifs je ne suis pas bien sûre je me renseigne si vous voulez (c'est monsieur qui gère les abonnements)

La SIM pourra , een effet, vs louer un logement mais vs arrivez après la rentrée scolaire et cette année en plus il y a eu un fort recrutement ds le primaire :il est donc possible que la SIM n'est plus grand chose à proposer.Je ne suis plus sur Mayotte depuis juillet ( à nouveau e Afrique) mais la co-location se répand de + en +:vous trouverez des annonces sur les journeaux gratuits comme le suggère l'autre message.Vous pouvez aussi privilégier le bouche à oreille:il est sûr qu'à l'hôpital vous aurez des contacts et ( il me semble ) que des logements sont proposés par l'hôpital.
Sinon, pas de pb avec le bruit de l'aéroport:au mieux 1 vol par jour.
Quant au lexique mahorais vs en trouverez à la librairie place Mariage, le plus souvent faite par des mzungus...mais pas de souci, vs aurez tjs qqn qui traduira en cas de besoin.Attendez-vous à ne pas chômer:il y a un travail fou à l'hôpital, d'après ce que je sais.Je vous sohaite bon courage et j'espère que vous vous plairez là-bas.Nous ns avons adoré:ns y avons fait 2 séjours et un 3° est envisagé d'ici qques temps.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
