J'ai pour projet de partir en Jamaïque, ce qui pourrait être incessamment sous peu et pour une durée indéterminée, qui pourrait aller de trois mois à un an.
J'en suis encore aux prises d'informations, et je dois dire qu'après de nombreuses heures passées sur le net en quête, je suis encore loin d'avoir toutes mes réponses!(C'est pas évident, on tombe surtout sur beaucoup de touristique!🤪)

Tout d'abord, n'ayant aucun diplômes(le brevet, ça compte?🤪), et la priorité étant donnée aux jamaïcains, ai-je ne serait-ce qu'une chance de trouver un job?(et donc d'obtenir un permis de travail?)
J'ai lu qu'en s'inscrivant à un cours d'anglais là-bas, on pouvait bénéficier du statut d'etudiant et obtenir un visa dans ce sens, est-ce vrai?
Et si oui, concrètement ça se passe comment?

Bien que né en suisse je suis aujourd'hui double national Jamaïcano-Suisse et ceci depuis dix ans au moins. J’ai habité de nombreuses années dans ce pays des Caraïbes et y retourne encore assez régulièrement pour tout dire.
Toute ma vie durant j'ai nourri une réelle passion pour les cultures vraiment authentiques tel que le Shivaïsme lorsque je vivais en Inde et maintenant que je suis en Jamaïque le Rastafarisme qui si apparenterai d'une certaine façon.
Ma femme et moi mêmes avons depuis 1993 tenté d'ouvrir différentes affaires en Jamaïque mais ce fut en vain car pour te dire la vérité, les gens du pays sont peu enclin à l'honnêteté et aiment beaucoup plus faire la fête que travailler en l'occurrence. Bon, d'une certaine façon il en est de mêmes pour nous autres concernant la fêtes et le farniente mais dans cette vie il faut parfois êtres déterminé sinon au final il ne te reste que les yeux pour pleurer...
Enfin, suite à nos échecs, j'ai tout réinvesti dans la construction d'une guesthouse qui je l'espère sera achevée pour la fin 2008, ce serai en fait une pension d'un type bien particulier puisqu'elle se situe loin à l'intérieur des terres, dans la jungle et les invités y viendraient en premier lieu pour y découvrir la philosophie Rastafarienne et tout ce qui l'environne évidemment...
Je suis aussi un bon cuisinier et le séjour serai en somme essentiellement axé sur la cuisine végétarienne qui est ma grande passion.
J'ai par ailleurs été un des rarissime conducteur de car d'origine européenne dans le pays, ceci durant trois ans et je connais donc bien ma région ainsi que tout les autochtones qui l'habite, ce qui est un grand avantage car la Jamaïque reste malgré tout un pays assez dangereux par endroits et il vaut mieux savoir ou l'on met les pieds en général.
Si vraiment tu est décidée et que tu as la tête sur les épaules, c'est la condition primordiales pour y aller habiter, eh bien je peux peut-être t'aider à réaliser ce rêves, ça peut super bien se passer mais ce ne sera pas facile, soit en assurée...

4) Me serait il facile de louer un appart? ou prendre un pt hotel mais pas cher budget de 30 à 50 frs par nuit ?
5) La nourriture sur place est t elle chère ? (ps : je suis végétarienne)

J'ai lu ton msg, et moi aussi je part fin novembre pour 3 mois, pour faire le visa il faut aller a l ambassade jamaicaine de ton pays, il te valide le visa pour 3 mois et arrivé sur l'ile, tu peux te refaire valider 3 mois de plus. d'apres ce que l'on m'as dis.
J'aimerai savoir, si tu voyage seule, car moi je le serais et cela m'arrangerai beaucoup de trouver une coequipiere, si t interesse tu peux m'envoyer un msg en prive meme.
Je peut te dire que tu est dans l'erreur, si tu veux une prolongation de visa faudra sortir du pays par exemple le plus facile et le moins cher serait Miami, sinon pas de visa, je peut t'en parlé car suis double national mais j'ai déjà passé par ce genre d'obligation😠.
Pas assez de pognon, pas assez de raisons valables sont égal à pas de prolongation l'ami.

Merci de a reponse, moi quand j'ai eu le consulat jamaicain a paris l'an dernier, ils m'ont is, ils faut venir a paris demander un visa de 3 mois, puis une fois sur place en jamaique, on a la possibilité de renouveller 3 mois de plus.

Au consulat jamaïcain de Paris, ils m'ont affirmé qu'il n'y avait aucune possibilité d'avoir un visa depuis la France.Chose qui était possible avant mais ça a changé.
Je me suis pourtant fait passée pour une touriste avide de dépenser son argent!😉😏(j'ai fait les 2versions, immigrée et touriste, pour la même réponse!)
On part avec son passeport valide 6 mois après la date de retour, et on peut rester un mois sur le territoire comme ça.Après il faut aller au bureau de l'immigration pour une possibilité d'avoir un visa pour 1 ou 2 mois de plus, et après rebelote!
Il faut justifié pourquoi on veut rester sur le territoire, et prouver qu'on en a les moyens(relevé bancaire).Il faut aussi je crois avoir une lettre d'invitation d'un jamaïcain, ou même venir avec...
Bref tout un programme!😉

on peut obtenir du premier coup un visa pour 3 mois d'entrée... juste une question de négociation avec l'officier de l'immigration qui vous "accueille" à vote arrivée.
S'il ne donne qu'un mois, pas de problème pour obtenir une extgension, qui ne peut, dans tous les cas, excéder 3 mois, faute de quoi, il vous faudra sortir du pays, pour y revenir, sous les mêmes conditions.
Si vous voulez un visa de 3 mois directement, il faut passer par un consulat de Jamaïque dans un autre pays (le plus aisé et non regardant dans la zone étant celui de Miami, où moyenant 70USD, vous l'obtiendrez en moins de 2 heures sur place)😠
Dans tous les cas, sachez que la date figurant sur le billet de retour fait foix pour valider la date d'expiration du visa! donc, il est obligatoire de le présenter à l'immigration.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
