Avant de prendre rendez vous à l'ambassade des Philippines, je viens poser quelques questions ici.. peut être aurai-je quelques réponses.
J'ai donc une amie qui part 9 mois à Manille faire un stage à l'ambassade française. Elle me propose de partir avec elle. L'experience de partir vivre plusierus mois à l'étranger me tente vraiment mais, ne connaissant rien de ce pays, je suis un peu dans le flou.
Moi j'ai 21 ans je suis étudiant en audiovisuel et je suis actuellement en stage chez France 2. L'idéal serait de trouver un stage ou un petit job dans mon domaine à Manille.. Me faut il un visa de travail ? est ce difficile à obtenir ? faut il avoir déjà son employeur pour en obtenir un ? Je me dis que je pourrais éventuellement bosser en tant que vendeur ou serveur mais j'aimerai quand même beaucoup pouvoir vivre une expérience dans mon domaine.
Mon amie est philippine/française et me dit que les français ont plutôt la quote labas et que je n'ai pas vraiment à m'inquiéter pour trouver un boulot labas... cela me parait quand même un peu bizarre... je ne sais pas si ma nationalité m'ouvre réellement des portes.... 🤪
Sinon en ce qui concerne le logement, mon amie se fait pretter un appartement près de Makati dans lequel nous pourrons habiter dans un premier temps. Seulement je n'ai aucune idée des loyers dans Manille pour un 2 pièces dans un bon quartier qui craint rien... J'aimerais avoir une petite idée de façon à pouvoir comparer avec ce que je paye actuellement à Paris (un 3 pièces de 50m² à 980€).
De plus, j'ai entendu à plusieurs reprises que le cout de la vie aux Philippine était presque dérisoir par rapport à ce que nous sommes habitué en France... J'aimerais juste avoir l'avis de personnes renseignées à ce sujet.

Makati c'est le capital Financier aux philippines, c'est le wall street si tu vous..mdrr, c'est une ville qui bouge 😉est une ville cher aussi, 980 euro tu peux dèjà trouver 1 belle maison dans les quartier village privé, si votre copine part avant toi le mieux je pense qu'elle veut trouve quelque chose pour vous autour de l'ambassade, faut il un visa de travail ? alors les loyers ici ne sont pas très onéreux, j'ai deux amis en co-loc qui payent genre 800euro par mois (400 chacun hein) pour un bel appart d'environ 100 m2 à Makati, dans une tour assez classe...
Ensuite oui c'est vrai que les français ont la cote (plutot que la quote...!) ici, par contre il te faudra parler/comprendre l'anglais un minimum pour pouvoir commencer à travailler.
Ca fait 8 mois que je suis aux phils, et j'ai 21 ans également, expérience inoubliable, je rentre en France dans moins d'un mois...
En ce qui concerne l'anglais ça va je me débrouille. Je ne suis pas bilingue mais je sais suivre une conversation.
Oui en effet les loyers semblent vraiment différents d'ici. En ce qui concerne la "cote" des français c'est un peu rassurant mais j'attends quand même de voir...
Sinon fraid26, je sais que les Philippines sont un pays émergeant mais j'ai lu que ça reste encore très différents des pays occidentaux. J'avoue que je ne peux pas rester indifférent quand je lis que l'on peut voir des enfants faire la manche tout nus dans la rue... La transition s'est bien passée pour toi ?
C'est pas évident comme question car ça dépend surtout de qui tu es, de ton niveau de compassion etc.
Bien sûre il y a des gens qui font la manche, des adultes, des enfants. Il y a aussi beaucoup de gens qui vivent dans la rue, sans même faire la manche, alors tous les jours, quand je sors de chez moi, quand je rentre chez moi, je les voie, je passe devant eux, je marchez chez eux en quelques sortes... Évidemment il y a des situations difficiles, un enfant qui te regarde droit dans les yeux en te demandant quelques pièces parce qu'il a faim. Mais quelques dizaines de mètres plus loin tu en verras d'autres rirent et s'amuser, parfois ils viennent vers toi et te demandent ton prénom, pour un peu que tu répondes en tagalog ils sont mort de rire et tellement surpris... Ce sont des cadeaux et des difficultés de la vie que je n'aurais pas eu en France.
Mais ça aide à grandir / relativiser / ouvrir les yeux, crois moi.
Cependant, ça t'arriveras beaucoup moins à makati qui est un quartier bien plus riche.
Si tu peux suivre une conversation, alors pas de soucis, de toutes façons on progresse très vite, l'anglais est une langue officielle ici il me semble.
Et ici, le fait d'être étranger (c'est pas vrai pour toutes les nationalités en revanche) te donne accès aux sourires des gens, les philippins sont très accueillants et amicaux.

Tu sais s'il est difficile pour un français de trouver un job labas ? Peux tu me dire s'il existe une activité audiovisuelle importante aux Philippines ? Car étant étudiant en audiovisuel j'aimerais pouvoir trouver un stage à faire dans mon domaine plutôt que d'être serveur ou vendeur dans un magasin... Je ne sais pas si je peux trouver quelque chose en postulant d'ici en envoyant des CV et lettre de motiv par internet ou si je dois faire toute ces démarches une fois labas... Je ne sais pas trop comment ça s'organise avec les visas de travail etc...
je n'en ai aucune idée pour l'audiovisuel étant donné que c'est pas du tout mon domaine...
Ensuite les Français ont plutôt une bonne image ici, j'ai connu quelqu'un qui est venu ici directe en sortant d'une école d'ingé Française et qui a déjà un très bon poste à responsabilité, mieux qu'il n'aurait pu avoir en France selon lui...
si tu veux trouver une boite, tu peux toujours envoyer des CVs de France,
ça peut te faire gagner un peu de temps.
en ce qui concerne le visa, pas d'idée non plus, moi j'ai eu un visa touriste que je renouvelais tous les deux mois...

Pourquoi n'essayes tu pas de postuler avant ton départ, soit directement aux phils,
soit en passant par des boutiques que tu peux facilement joindre en France type célio et autres ??
