Allo a tous, je me demandais si quelqu'un aurait des informations au sujet de travailler au vietnam? je sais qu'il y a une forte demande en marketing mais je me demandais si en tourisme, cuisine il y avait une possibilité, si l'un d'entre vous a une information, vous seriez tres gentil de m'en faire part
ça dépend de vos qualifications ;-) et du salaire que vous pensez demander. En cuisine, je doute que vous puissiez rivaliser avec les prétentions salariales des Vietnamiens, je ne crois pas que vous seriez prêt à vivre dans les mêmes conditions! En tourisme, il faut d'abord parler la langue du pays, ensuite connaître la culture et le mode de vie. Là aussi, un salaire aux normes locales risque de vous refroidir!
Mais c'est bien d'essayer, envoyez un CV aux restaurants, hôtels de luxe, vous verrez bien.
En tourisme, si tu aimes la côte, la mer, vas donc à Nha Trang, il y a beaucoup de restaurants, bars dont les propriétaires sont occidentaux, sinon, dans les grandes villes comme HCM ou HaNoi, ils y a toujours les grands hotels et les restaurants de luxe, sans compter innombrables les bars bcbg crées par les étrangers expats. Si tu as le talent, tu peux toujours décrocher un job.
Travailler au VN, c'est parce qu'on a la passion du métier et on aime s'installer dans ce pays,
et ce n'est pas pour faire...du blé. (Tu verras plustard que sans avoir la relation avec les membres du comité central, tu n'auras pas de....grande chance pour toucher au blé).
Ne t'inquiètes pas, de tout façon, tu seras payé au dessus du salaire normal des vietnamiens, car tu a l'avantage de connaitre déjà une langue étrangère.
Les patrons viets ne sont pas aussi dupes, si tu n'es pas à la hauteur de tes prétentions, tu retourneras vite aussi dans la rue.

comme mentionné dans une des réponses, vous avez un avantage indéniable par rapport des vietnamiens, c'est que vous parlez le français et anglais (vous etes bien canandien ?) comme il le faut.
Par exemple, si j'étais le patron de Saigon Tourism ou Vietnam Tourism, je n'hésiterais pas une seconde de prendre un canadien comme guide de touriste pour des clients fancophones / anglophones parce les vietnamiens sur place, même s'ils sont bardés de diplôme de langue, leur tournure sont trop accédémiques voir maniériés.
Dans la cuisine, si vous avez un quelconque diplôme, vous pouvez contacter les grands hotels pour être chef de cuisine. A ma connaissance, au saigon (HCM ville) seul SOFITEL qui peut se revendiquer d'avoir un chef cuisine français et les autres sont envieux de cette prétention.
Dans mon esprit vous pouvez contacter hotel Continental qui a une grande réputation à l'époque coloniale (vous avez vu le film "un américain tranquille" ?) et qui ne propose pas encore aujourd'hui une vraie cuisine française.
J'ai essayé pas mal de restaurant qui prétente d'offrir une cuisine francaise à Saigon et jusqu'aujourd'hui je ne peux les reccommander à .... mes ennemis, cela pour vous dire qu'il existe bel et bien une opportunité pour des vrais cuisiniers là bas.
Et bien moi si j'étais touriste, je n'aimerais pas avoir un guide qui ne connaisse rien du pays que je suis venue visiter, sous prétexte qu'il parle français et anglais! Les contacts que j'ai eu avec les jeunes guides Vietnamiens restent dans ma mémoire, j'ai eu la chance de découvrir leur vision du monde, de savoir comment ils vivaient, d'en apprendre plus sur la culture du pays, bien au-delà de ce qu'aurait pu m'apporter un guide d'un pays occidental. mais peut-être certains touristes ne vont pas dans les pays pour découvrir autre chose que ce qu'ils connaissent, alors dans ce cas, qu'ils emmènent leurs guides avec eux!
Et pour être "chef de cuisine" encore faut-il connaître la cuisine.

C'est plutôt avec des milliers des vietnamiens sur place qu'il va offrir ce service et ces gens ont des moyens de se payer une cuisine "exotique" mais authentique.
Pour avoir une idée du pouvoir d'achat des vietnamiens à Saigon, il suffit par exemple d'aller dans les bars branchés dans les arrondissements Q1 et Q3 et voir comment le cognac XO y coule à flot.
Pour conclure, tout le monde peut se poser cette question : s'il existe bel et bien des asiatiques qui réussitent avec leurs restaurants asiatiques en europe, pourquoi les occidentaux échoueraient-ils en Asie avec leurs cuisines authentiques ?
La réponses revient à ceux qui veulent entreprendre au VN mais pas simplement y faire le tourisme.

Lorsque l'on y vient en touriste, c'est vrai qu'avec la chaleur, on n'a pas très envie de manger un steak frites, mais les Hanoiens, même non-vietnamiens, apprécient de changer leur quotidien, comme nous allons "au chinois" ou "au mexicain".
