What are the benefits of a suite on the Pacifica?

Hi everyone, I’m staying in a suite on the Pacifica in October and I can’t find any details about the suite benefits beyond the elite restaurant, the butler, and the espresso machine. What about breakfast and meals served free in the cabin, and the spa? Costa’s been cutting back on perks for Gold members, and it seems like suites are next. Thanks for your replies!

Hi there, The information I can share is a bit dated, since the last time I sailed in a suite with Costa was two years ago. It wasn’t on the *Pacifica*, but the perks don’t differ much. Breakfast can be served in your cabin—just fill out the form in your room. There are specific dishes for in-cabin service, but the selection is a bit more limited than in the restaurant. In the club restaurant, depending on the ship, there’s a small buffet and/or table service. On the *Favolosa*, which is very similar to the *Pacifica*, it was a buffet, for example. If you’re Gold status, it might be worth using the space reserved in the main restaurant—it’s very quiet, and the buffet is really varied. Meals can be served in your cabin with the daily menu, but only during the restaurant’s opening hours; otherwise, it’s room service. The butler sets the table just like in the restaurant. It’s a pretty rare perk, since more upscale cruise lines usually just offer room service unless you’re in the highest cabin categories. As for the spa, I’m not entirely sure, but I think the complimentary day when the ship is in port is tied to at least Gold status. Happy cruising!

Thanks for the reply! Here’s what I got from my Costa advisor—meals in the cabin are only free during the restaurant’s opening hours. No more advantage for seats at the front of the theater.

• Guaranteed reserved restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open in two sittings for dinner (the restaurant will be automatically reserved—no need to select it on B2E). • Pillow menu • Coffee machine and cups in the cabin (Vergnano) • Priority boarding and disembarkation • Guest Relation Manager available by appointment • Letter in the cabin from the Guest Relation Manager with a list of available perks • Robes, slippers, organic toiletries • Personal butler • Canapés and a bottle of sparkling wine in the cabin on embarkation day • Unlimited bottled water and ice • My Drinks Plus package included in the fare • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the cabin (on-demand service) • Minibar in the cabin with drinks (no snacks) • Evening cabin tidying and cleaning • Free access to the spa for one day per cruise (except on sea days). Spa services (e.g., treatments) are not included—except for Fortuna. • Access to the reserved area on VIP Deck 19 (only on Costa Smeralda and Toscana) • 10% discount on your next cruise • Fresh fruit basket in the cabin on embarkation day (updated 05/29/25: For sustainability reasons, instead of automatically leaving the fruit basket in the cabin, we’ll first ask the guest if they’d like this service. Delivery and restocking will only proceed after confirmation to the butler).

It’s pretty much what we got. However, the fruit basket was still automatic. For the restaurant, just so you know, there are some boats where there are two seatings with assigned tables, and others where seating is open—you’ll find out once you’re on board. Have a great trip!
