Après plusieurs recherches, je n'arrive pas à m'y retrouver entre toutes les informations que j'ai trouvé.
J'ai pour projet de faire un stage au Quebec (ou peut-être Canada anglophone) l'année prochaine. J'ai quelques sur le visa nécessaire. Je m'y perd entre le PVT, le EIV ou encore visa stage.
Est-ce que je dois obligatoirement passer par le PVT en premier ou bien je peux directement demander le visa stage (ou même faire la demande des deux en parallèle) ?
Quel est la différence entre le PVT et le visa stage ? Est-ce qu'il y en a 1 qui est plus facile à a voir ? (on m'a dit que le PVT c'est compliqué, demande supérieur à l'offre)
Il faut comprendre qu'il n'existe pas de ''visa de stage'' au Canada. Un stage est considéré comme du travail et pour travailler, il faut un permis de travail.
Il y a un initiative qui s'appelle Expérience International Canada et qui offre différentes catégories de participation pour le permis de travail chez les jeunes de 18 à 35 ans:
- PVT (permis vacances-travail, qui permet de voyager et travailler librement);
-Jeunes Professionnel (pour travailler dans un emploi lié à ses études ou expériences pro, chez un employeur spécifique)
-Stage coop interntional (pour les diplômés récents)
Maintenant, il faut préciser que ce programme ne s'adresse qu'aux pays participants: la France, la Belgique, le UK, l'Espagne, etc. Dans ton profil, tu dis vivre au Cambodge, mais tu n'as pas précisé ta nationalité, ce qui est important pour avoir les bonnes réponses!
Admettons que tu es citoyen d'un pays qui participe au programme, il faut savoir que la catégorie ''Stage'' exige que le participant soit inscrit dans un établissement d'études post-secondaires. Il faut aussi que tu trouves ton propre stage, à distance, avant ton arrivée au Canada. Le stage doit être lié à tes études actuelles.

Donc si j'ai bien compris, étant donné que je suis étudiant dans le supérieur et que je dois effectuer mon stage dans le cadre de mes études, les choix qui s'offrent à moi sont soit le PVT, soit le stage coop international, c'est ça ?
En fait, ça serait plutôt la catégorie stage coop.
Le PVT est moins évident à obtenir, puisque la sélection est faite aléatoirement et que la demande des Français est très, très forte.
Le stage, tu es pas mal sûr d'être accepté car c'est beaucoup moins convoité. Je te suggère de commencer tes recherches pour dénicher une entreprise qui te prendrais comme stagiaire, puisque la lettre de stage de l'employeur est obligatoire pour demander un permis de travail dans le cadre d'un stage coop.

Comme le dit Nikky, concentre toi plutôt sur le visa stage coop.
En 2017 pour le PVT, il y a 7700 visa et pour le stage coop il y a 4000 visa.
CEPENDANT, actuellement, il reste 330 visas pour le stage coop et 80 qui sont inscrits et qui attendent de l'avoir.
Pour le PVT, il reste 7 visas pour plus 13000 personnes qui espèrent l'avoir.
Tu es donc beaucoup plus sur d'avoir le stage coop. Pour ma part, je viens d'avoir le visa jeune professionnel et si je ne me trompe pas à la fin du questionnaire pour le visa, tu peux t'inscrire dans plusieurs "bassin" (stage coop et PVT par exemple) si tu es éligible pour les deux. (Mais si tu es éligible pour les deux, c'est quasi sur que tu auras le visa stage coop)
Après comme l'a dit Nikky, avec le visa stage coop ou jeune professionnel, tu dois avoir une offre de stage/emploi avant de commencer les démarches de visa et avec le PVT, tu peux partir sans offre.

Je suppose que les obtenirs un visa (que ce soit stage coop ou PVT) prennent du temps.
Du coup, il faudrait que je m'y prenne bien à l'avance pour le cas du stage coop.
Mais est-ce qu'il y a la possibilité de postulé aux deux en même temps ?
Je suppose que le visa stage coop doit ressembler au visa Jeune professionnel que je viens d'avoir. Je commence tout juste les démarches donc j'en suis qu'au début, mais pour ma part les démarches avancent assez vite. J'ai cependant vu passer un document où ils conseillaient de commencer les démarches du visa au plus tard 2 mois avant de partir.
En soit, oui cela est possible si tu es éligible pour les deux. Tu auras un questionnaire à répondre et à la fin du questionnaire, il te mettra pour quel visa tu es éligible. A la fin du questionnaire, il te demande dans quel bassin tu veux t'inscrire (en te proposant les visas dont tu es éligible) et tu peux t'inscrire dans plusieurs bassins.
Après, si tu veux être sur de partir, concentre toi sur trouver un stage car le visa stage coop tu es "sur" de l'avoir contrairement au PVT.
Par exemple, je n'ai jamais été tiré au sort pour le PVT en plus de 6 mois et en 1 semaine, j'ai été tiré au sort pour le visa jeune professionnel (car "peu" de candidat comme le stage coop).
Alors le stage est pas pour tout de suite, mais je préfère m'y prendre à l'avance surtout pour la rechercher du stage en lui-même.
Il devrais commencer début mars 2018. Du coup, je pense (dit moi si je me trompe), que je commencerai les démarches pour l'obtention du visa stage coop en fin d'année.
Non pas spécialement, tu peux commencer les démarches avant. Plus tu commences tôt, plus tu es sur de l'avoir pour le départ 😉
Après, plus tu avanceras dans le mois de décembre et janvier et plus ça risque d'être chaud niveau timing. Il faut penser que tu as du temps avant d'être tiré au sort, plus du temps pour récupérer et fournir tous les documents, plus du temps pour qu'ils regardent ton dossier ...
donc plus tu commences tôt et plus tu es sur de l'avoir à temps.
C'est justement bien que tu commences tôt, il faut que tu trouves ton stage et cela peut-être compliqué car tu n'es pas sur place.
