C'est moi Lloulouttes qui reviens vers vous sur ce forum.
Depuis 2010, j'ai beaucoup voyagé et ai décidé de prendre ma retraite, avec mon époux, à Koh Samui.
Nous arriverons le 16 février prochain, et ce pendant 1 mois, afin de préparer tout cela (papiers, obligations,
construction ou location d'une maison, etc...).
J'aimerai que, dès maintenant, je puisse faire connaissance (par mails) avec quelques 3 ou 4 Français de Samui que nous rencontrerons dès notre arrivée et qui pourront nous guider, conseiller, etc... avec sympathie et solidarité.
Les billets d'avion "Malaysia Airlines, Airbus A 380" sont déjà réservés et nous dormirons à l'hôtel "Green Canyon" de Lamaï.
Qui veut bien être notre "tuteur" ?

Pour une retraite heureuse à Samui éviter de rencontrer les français, dans le cas contraire c'est le début des ennuis et sur une île on passe son temps à se croiser
Chaque monde repose ainsi sur des centres de gravité dérisoires dont dépend secrètement tout son équilibre

Donc, vous auriez déconseillé à un français de vous rencontrer ? Les généralisations hâtives sur les expatriés, c'est parfois un peu gonflant. je pourrais aussi faire des généralisations sur les français qui veulent s'installer en Thaïlande, et ne pas en tirer toujours des conclusions positives.... Il y a des individus, et un minimum de bon sens permet de faire le tri...

Pour nous, ce sera une nouvelle vie calme et sereine qui nous attend.
C'est ce qu'il nous faut mais, pas un isolement complet.
Je parle anglais, j'apprendrai quelques mots de Thaï.
Nous voyagerons beaucoup dans le monde tant que nous sommes encore valides
et que notre tête fonctionne correctement.
Notre but est de vivre très loin de la France, au soleil, sans trop de frais, sans Info
TV, en oubliant tous ces drames du bout du monde.
Nous avons également l'intention d'y mourir, le plus tard possible, s'entend !!! ...

ne suis pas à Samui, mais le conseil que je peux vous donner est valable partout : dans un premier temps, louez... Quant à oublier le monde qui vous entoure, bizarrement, ce qui vous manquera au bout d'un moment, c'est probablement de pouvoir échanger sur la marche du monde. Et ce sera difficile avec la plupart des Thaïs, qui sont très "ethno-centrés".

Cela fait maintenant presque 3 ans que je vis à Samui. Comme partout il faut prendre plusieurs avis et ce faire sa propre idée. Ne pas être trop candide sur les soit disant bon plan. La communauté française n'est pas trop structurée à Samui et cela est regrettable. L'idée d'être "tuteur" me semble sympathique. Ayant fais moi-même le parcours : achat voiture, scooter, location, permis de conduire thai, location de maison, assurance.....nous pouvons en discuter en message privée.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
