Hi everyone, I’m heading off in May with Costa on the Deliziosa and I’ve got a quick question. Are the excursions cheaper if I book in advance on the website (since I’ve never done it before), or are they the same price if I get them on the ship? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello, Booking before the cruise on the COSTA website is cheaper than on board. The advantage with COSTA is that pre-booking is free—you’ll pay for the excursion you reserved once you’re on board, which isn’t the case with MSC, where you have to pay when booking the excursions. At least you’ll be sure to get the excursions you chose. Onboard stay fees with COSTA (11 €/night/adult) are payable ON BOARD, unlike with MSC (12 €/night/adult), where you have to pay at the time of booking. Have a great cruise, and don’t hesitate to ask if you have any other questions. Lajeunesse.

Thanks so much, Guylene, for all your explanations. I’ll book on the site then—it’ll be safer that way.

Hi Patricia,

Depending on the stops, there are probably some excursions you can do on your own that’ll cost you less. Happy cruising! Mum49

Yes, in principle we do visits on our own, but this time we’re docking in Katakolon with a short stop, so I’d rather take the "Olympia Freedom" excursion for the bus ride. We’ve already visited Olympia, but we’re traveling with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who’ve never been on a cruise before. Thanks so much
