Je voudrais recueillir des témoignages, de résidents ou autres voyageurs, sur la vie là bas. Habitués à d'autres aventures familiales du meme type (Kazakhstan, Libye, ..) avec de très bons souvenirs, le Bangladesh nous parait jouable. Comment est la vie là bas? l'école, les connexions aeriennes, la vie sociale, les week ends, les questions sanitaires.

Quelle bonne idée d'avoir choisi le Bangladesh ! J'y suis allée une semaine en septembre 2006 et je n'ai plus qu'une idée : y retourner ! Une semaine c'est très court, on ne peut pas dire que ma petite expérience vous sera préciseuse mais voici mon sentiment. Le contexte de ce voyage (j'accompagnais une ong belge qui soigne la lèpre et la tuberculose www.fondationdamien.be) m'a permis de rencontrer non seulement la population mais aussi des expatriés européens qui vivent au Bangladesh depuis plusieurs années.
En ce qui concerne la population, tous sont très souriants et accueillants envers les "blancs" que nous sommes. Autant à Dakha que dans les campagnes, rares sont les Bengalis qui ont déjà vu des étrangers. Leur attitude en rue à notre égard est à la fois très respectueuse et remplie de curiosité. Il ne faut donc pas s'étonner de voir des attroupements de plusieurs dizaines de personnes autour de vous et de votre petite famille, c'est toujours d'une extrême gentillesse.
Pour ce qui est des expatriés rencontrés, ils semblaient tous ravis de leur vie là-bas. Pour se déplacer, il faut absolument un chauffeur tant la circulation est trépidante voire dangeureuse pour les non-habitués. Ceci dit, vu le nombre de ricksaws et de baby-taxi qui circulent, il y a toujours moyen de se déplacer rapidement. Pour le confort de vie, je sais que l'electricité est coupée plusieurs fois par jour, qu'il est possible à Dakha de faire ses courses dans des boutiques de grand luxe textile et alimentation (en comparaison à ce qu'on trouve dans le pays). Pour pratiquer un peu de sport, c'est la piscine qui semble la plus indiquée. Quant à la scolarité des enfants, un des couples avait inscrit leurs 2 fils dans un lycée français je crois...
Voilà, ce n'est pas grand chose mais je serai aussi très heureuse d'avoir de vos nouvelles une fois que vous serez installés au Bangladesh. Bon voyage !
Je suis d'accord avec l'avis de Francinne. Je suis allée au Bangladesh en novembre 2006. Des amis Shakmas (boudhistes) m'ont invités dans leur famille dans le sud est (Hill Tracts). C'était un voyage très dépaysant, les gens très accueillant, j'étais agréablement surprise par la beauté des paysages dans les Hill Tracts. Dacca était pour moi sans intérêt, trop bruyante... l'idéal est d'aller à la campagne au milieu des rizières.... Les étudiants apprécient de voir des étrangers (très rares) afin de pratiquer l'anglais. Les coupures d'électricité sont récurrentes, ne pas oublier d’emmener des torches (rechargeables). Au niveau sécurité, je n'ai eu aucun problème étant accompagné par des autochtones, des autorisations sont obligatoires pour aller dans les Hill Tracts. Il est préférable d'être accompagné d'une personne qui parle la langue. La circulation sur les routes est effrayante avec les camions qui doublent sans visibilité, le klaxon sert de clignotant, les bus son "défoncés"..... Très bons souvenirs excepté les poux que j’ai ramené et avoir les cheveux longs ça n’aide pas...

Déjà félicitations pour ce VIE à Dhaka, ce sera une belle experience.
Cout de la vie: pas chere du tout; on mange pour pas cher sauf dans les resto type fast-food -genre pizza kebab etc et encore c'est de l'ordre de 5 euros.
Manger des "HOTELS" -c'est comme ca qu'on appelle un restaurant bangladais- ne revient pas cher du tout! A titre d'exemple je mangeais des legumes; des crepes et un the, cela me coutait environ 0.40€.
J'etais en collocation dans un appartement -trois chambres trois salles de bain, salon cuisine- dans un appartement de standing moyen-superieur avec entree securisee et parking et ascensceur, je payais environ 90 euros par mois TCC, toutes charges comprises -eau gaz electricite et internet-
Nous etions deux au fait. Donc ca te laisse un peu l'idée du coup de la vie.
Je vivais avec 500 euros par mois et je vivais trés bien. j'ai meme fait des economies. ALors avec ce que tu vas toucher avec ton salaire VIE... une vie de pacha vous attend!
Pour les ONG, y'en a pas mal sur place mais je ne les connais pas. Il faudrait peut-etre contacter l'ambassade pour plus de précisions.

En fait nous ne sommes pas partis, en effet j'ai été embauché avec une situation avantageuse chez alstom...C'est une tres bonne expérience aussi. De plus travailler pour Auchan ne me plaisait pas trop, je suis pas très emballé par la grande distrib et son impact economique. Enfin, un VIE, c'est la porte ouverte a recommencer a chercher du taf en revenant en France.

Pour trouver un appart à Dhaka..mieux vaut se faire aider par un Bangladais. Mais un séjour court, il y a quand même des hotels acceptables...seulement pas tous acceptent les étrangers..
J'ai quitté le Bangladesh mais la meilleure façon de trouver un logement c'est de rentrer en contact avec un local avant votre arivée ( exemple le personnel du lieu du stage)..Ou alors contacter le consulat de France qui pourrait vous mettre en contact avec la communauté francophone..
L'Alliance Française peut aussi avoir quelques tuyaux.
Bonjour a tous, j'ai la possibilite d'áller travailler au Bangladesh (pas sur encore), j'aurai voulu avoir des renseignements sur la capital Dacka. Sur certains sites je vois que c'est une ville enorme (10 millions d'habitants), moderne en pleine essor, bon evidemment avec le chao classique des villes du sud, mais montrant une certaine modernite.
Sur d'autres site je vois que malgres la taille cela reste une ville moyenne assez endormie. Quant est il exactement? comment est la vie sociale a Dacka (clubs de sport, clubs privees etc....), comment est la vie nocturne? Le fait que le pays soit musulman, cela influe t-il beaucoup sur le quotidien? Est t-il possible par exemple de trouver du vin ou de l'alcool en supermarche? Bref ceux ne sont pas des questions d'ordre de vie ou de mort, mais dans un quotidien, si je part pour quelques annees, ces parametres peuvent peser sur le quotidien. je vous remercie par avance pour vos reponses et temoignages.
Je sais que dans les quartier des ambassades, il y a des magasins qui proposent des produits occidentaux comme de la viande de porc et de l'alcool. Je crois même qu'il y une charcuterie allemande..

En tant qu'étranger tu as le droit d'importer de l'alcool ( je ne connais pas les limites cependant)
Pour la vie nocturne ?? Les fêtes privées...Sinon la dernière fois que j'y étais il y avait un club mais il n'y avait pas d'alcool..Il y pas mal d'activités culturelles à Dhaka ( voir consulat qui peut te renseigner ou aller directement en Alliance française ou école internationales)
Mon séjour date de 2007 donc des choses ont du changer...J'ai trouvé le Bangladesh assez paisible par rapport à d'autres pays...J'ai beaucoup aimé ce pays..et j'aimerais bien y retourner un jour.

Mon ami et moi fêtons nos 1 mois à Dhaka et tout se passe bien. Je ne serai pas en mesure de répondre avec précision à tes questions mais je peux apporter quelques éléments pour t'aiguiller. Il travaille à l'Alliance française et moi à l'Ecole française.
Tout d'abord, si tu veux faire la fête et avoir une folle vie de débauche et de luxure (n'y vois aucune moquerie, ni aucun mépris), je ne crois pas que le Bangladesh soit le bon endroit...
L'alcool est interdit aux Bangladais : il n'y en a ni dans les restos, ni dans les supermarchés. En revanche, en tant qu'étranger, on peut en acheter dans 2/3 boutiques à des prix raisonnables et sur présentation du passeport. On peut aussi en boire dans les clubs à expat (Dutch club, American club etc.).
En ce qui concerne les loisirs et la vie nocturne, je n'ai pas énormément d'infos pour le moment. Je sais que les clubs a expat font office de bars, restos, organisent des soirées, ont des piscines et des courts de tennis. Il y a aussi des restos et quelques galeries d'art (que je n'ai pas encore testées).
Au quotidien sinon, les Bangladais sont charmants ! Il y a très peu d'étrangers ici, alors il faut s'habituer aux regards parfois insistants des gens. Il est plus simple d'être homme, mais beaucoup de portes s'ouvrent quand on est un blanc. On peut se promener en ricksha sans problème. On trouve partout de magnifiques boutiques qui vendent des tissus qui brillent.
Dhaka est un très grosse ville de plus de 10 millions d'habitants (je n'arrive pas à avoir de chiffre exact et je ne suis pas sûre que quelqu'un l'ait). Il y a beaucoup de circulation ; ça fuse dans tous les sens, c'est la folie : rickshaw, bus, CNG, voitures, piétons même combat !
Il y a des arbres tropicaux partout, des manguiers dans les rues et bien qu'on soit le 30 octobre, je mets toujours des vêtements d'été !
Je pars pour chittagong deux ans pour y travailler et j'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un connait des français là-bas? Des infos sur la ville, bref tout. Merci infiniment.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland?
