Après plusieurs séjours au Sénégal (2 fois chez des amis, 2 fois avec une association), je veut vraiment tenter l'aventure et m'installer à Dakar ou ses environs, voire à Mbour, d'ici quelques mois.
J'ai fait un mois au Fouta, un mois à Pikine, et puis je connais Dakar bien sûr et un peu Saint Louis, Tivaouane, Mbour...
Je ne me fais pas trop de soucis au niveau du logement au niveau de Dakar ou Mbour, j'ai pas mal d'amis sur place et puis on m'a proposé (et je connais des amis français qui l'ont fait) des chambres à très bas prix. Confort local évidemment, je ne cherche pas plus.
Mon seul problème se situe évidemment au niveau du travail.
A vrai dire je ne sais plus quoi vraiment penser.
Est-ce que je dois pouvoir compter sur l'offre "présente" sur place, ou économiser un peu pour monter ma propre affaire (sachant que je suis à peu près fauché et que je ne pourrai pas mettre de côté énormément de sous avant de partir).
Diplômé d'un Bac Gestion, je suis actuellement vendeur pour un magasin spécialisé dans la photographie professionnelle. J'y exerce en réalité également le travail d'un commercial en promouvant nos marques importées et la communication de l'entreprise. Je m'occupe aussi de notre participation à des salons, de la formation d'étudiants dans les grandes écoles d'art, etc...
Parallèlement Je travaille comme photographe indépendant (mode, books, reportage), et j'ai une grosse expérience des "petits" boulots (manutention, vente en magasin, caisse, etc...)
Je pense que certaines personnes du forum sont bien renseignées sur le marché du travail au Sénégal. Mon activité est-elle compatible avec celui-ci ? Je travaille dans le domaine du matériel photographique mais je suis capable de vendre autre chose !
Mes diverses recherches sur Internet n'ont pas donné grand chose : on me renvoie souvent chez le voisin ! Au pays on me promet beaucoup de chose, mais aucune place "sûre".
Faut-il que je parte avec de quoi vivre quelque temps afin de faire mes démarches sur place?
Enfin, puis-je compter sur les ONG ? A vrai dire ce serait l'idéal pour moi, mais je pense qu'ils ne recrutent que des spécialistes...?
Je peux faire une croix sur l'expatriation je pense 🙂 ? Et est-il utile de faire une demande à l'ambassade ?
Je suis preneur de toute expérience, de tout conseil, de toute bonne idée, de tous encouragements mais je suis aussi prêt à me faire remettre les pieds sur terre !
Je sais que cela représente beaucoup de questions, peut-être certaines réponses m'aideront à me faire une idée de ce qui m'attend réellement ! Je ne pourrai pas rester aussi longtemps que je le souhaite si je ne peux travailler sur place.
Je suis de plus en plus dubitative sur le fait de trouver sans magouille et un boulot honnête ailleurs que chez sois vu la conjoncture mondiale.Chaqu'un préfère embaucher un garç de son pays à qualité égale avec un étranger......et ns sommes de plus en plus nombreux sur la planète et il y a de plus en plus de machines et d'exploiteurs.Regarde le Maroc je crois que les marocains en on marre de tt ses étranger chez eux qui font monter les prix par ex de l'habitat et ça ca va être bientôt pareil chez toi et ailleurs.De tte façon je n'ai pas de proposition à proposer sauf de se debarrassser de ce capitalisme à outrance

oui dexxa, je crois que c'est comme cela que ça va finir, il me parait difficile de trouver un poste à distance (à moins de tomber sur la perle rare, une entreprise qui expatrie, mais c'est impossible dans mon domaine !)
j'y suis allée au senegal .Les rentiers peuvent rester.les autres c'est qu'ils ont super magouillé ou il vont gagner de l'argent en France et qd ils on ont assez il retourne se faire dorer au soleil mais tu sais c'est vite chiant de manquer de culturel.A Dakard peut être.
MOi je compte aller faire du benevolat quelque tps je suis à la retraite et au moins j'aurai quelque chose a faire.C'est un autre schema

et je suis loin d'être rentier : le but de mon poste est d'avoir des conseils en matière d'emploi, sans lequel je ne pourrai envisager de m'installer là-bas
faire du bénévolat, ce serait l'idéal pour moi (cf mon texte), mais il faut bien que je gagne quelques sous pour me nourrir et me loger
Après peut-être qu'il existe des assoc qui proposent des actions nourries-logées?
mais je pense qu'il faut avoir certaines spécialisations (médecine, éducation etc...) que je n'ai malheureusement pas !

moi je vis et bosse a Mbour. viens avec un peu d'argent sinon tu vas avoir beaucoup de mal, c'est tres dur de trouver un travail remunere et meme si senegalaisement remunere pas evident d'arriver a la fin du mois...
tu auras probablement plus de chance de trouver du boulot sur Dakar mais on ne sait jamais - cote benevolat j'en connais pas qui sont loges-nourris mais je ne connais pas tout non plus 😉

Ici, il y a beaucoup de gens compétents et/ou spécialisés.
Il y a beaucoup de chômage et l'offre est difficile à cerner.

franchement coté boulot, n espère rien du Senegal ! comme te l a dit eugenie 88 , c est une vrai magouille qui se trame tous les jours ici! la majorité des sengélais sont capables de tout pour le fric. donc inutile de t aventurer sur le terrain si tu ne peu rien n y faire , oublie les assoc et autres !ca badine pas dans les environs et surtout qu aucun senégalais ne te fasse croire le contraire ! Eugénie a été trop claire et j essaie juste de confirmer ses props et en plus moi, j suis sur le terrain . donc pense y à 2 fois et prepare toi du mieux que tu le peux si t a vraiment envie de faire le voyage

Salut , dit moi j'ai lu à plusieurs reprises que les Senegalais sont assez lourd ! question rapport entre black and white ils te harcelent tous le temps pour te soutirer un peu de cfa . Il y a meme des expats Français soit rentre au pays soit change de destination car c'est trop pesant à vivre au quotidien et il parait meme que certains sont agressifs si tu veux pas lacher des sous .Vrai ou faux ?
