Voilà j'ai 27 ans, ca fait plus de deux ans que j'habite à La Réunion et je suis un Zoreil!
Bref ma copine est réunionnaise, elle est assistante gestion, moi je suis négociateur immobilier.
C'est vrai qu'on a un cadre de vie idéal, des bons salaires, mais voilà, l'île est petite et j'ai déjà la boujotte!
J'ai grandit en Martinique, j'ai était élévé dans "le culte" de la Calédonie, l'ile des pins, ... Mes parents y ayant vécu longtemps avant ma naissance.
Alors voilà, j'ai envie de tenter ma chance! Je suis jeune, pas d'enfant! Je réve d'un bateau le week end pour partir sur les ilots alentours (ce que je ne peux pas faire à La Réunion), j'en veux toujours plus, et je sais, c'est risqué. Mais quand je suis venu vivre à La Réunion, j'entendait tous et n'importe quoi, et je gagnai le rmi en arrivant...
Alors y'a t'il une place pour un opportuniste comme moi? Aucun contact sur place, mais un peu de sous de coté. Etant habitué à une ile métissée et tolérante, le contraste ne sera pas difficile? Un couple métissée ne pose pas de soucis? Y'a t'il du boulot dans l'immobilier?

Mes soeurs vivent à la Réunion, et moi en Calédonie, pour comparer, je trouve qu'on "étouffe" moins ici, car c'est plus grand, il y a beaucoup moins de population et il n'y a pas autant d'embouteillages.
Par contre le coût de la vie est bien plus élever, ce n'est pas un département, donc pas d'aide sociale et l'assurance chômage est très light, tout comme les remboursements de la CAFAT (sécu), et les lois du travail ne sont pas les mêmes, tu travailles plus ici pour moins, moins de protection et les syndicats ne font pas de cadeau qu'en à l'emploi des Zor.
Ici, énormément d'agences immobilières, s'en est même incroyable (7 pages dans l'annuaire), donc disons que si tu trouves un boulot, je pense que tu seras bien payé, donc à toi la belle vie sinon, bah bonjour la galère.Il y a je pense tout de même plus d'opportunité de boulot ici qu'à la Réunion.
Sinon, je trouve la Réunion plus accueillante et tolérante vis à vis des étrangers, même si étant blanche et mes soeurs noires (Indiennes) j'était un peu dévisagée. Je pense que la différence vient que les gens de la Réunion, ne sont pas des autochtones comme les kanaks qui ont eu à subir les affres de la colonisation de leur pays, même si l'esclavage n'est pas non plus une petite affaire...
Pour le métissage, en fait les kanaks ne se mèlent pas tellement, ils sont facile d'abord et toujours accueillants, mais restent méfiants car beaucoup on profité d'eux sans retour, mais je ne pense pas qu'on puissent te repprocher d'être un couple mixte.
Moi ce que j'aime c'est le sentiment de liberté immense que l'on ressent ici (à condition d'avoir les moyens), chasser, pêcher, camper sur un ilot sans personne pour t'emmerder. En plus les bateaux sont très abordables, et contrairement à ce que l'on dit, on sort souvent, nous en sommes à plus de 50 sorties en 10 mois avec un bateau de 4, 52 mètres!

La Nouvelle Calédonie est un pays superbe et trés indépendant malgré ses attaches à la France. Il y a d'un côté les Caldoches, et de l'autre les Kanaks...
Les clivages sont trés marqués, et au milieu de tout ça tu as les zoreilles... J'ai vécu 2ans sur l'île des pins et je n'en ai je t'assure pas que de bons souvenirs, pourtant c'est une terre attachante. Les locaux (Kanaks) vivent encore sous les règles strictement tribales, un peu moins prés de Nouméa, mais cette façon de vivre est encore trés présente dans les îles et dans le Nord.
C'est un esprit trés communautaire et il faut bien le dire un peu hostile à ce qui vient de l'extérieur. J'ai néanmoins fait de trés belle rencontre, de celles que l'on oublie pas. Les échanges sont possibles et des discussions surréalistes (pour toi) peuvent s'engager, des palabres que l'on aurait pu écouter il y a de cela 2 ou 3 siècles au coin d'un feu prés d'une case surmontée d'une flèche fétière, les flèches des pins colonaires se découpant sur un ciel étoilé...
A Nouméa depuis maintenant 1 mois, j'ai dévoré les différents forums de ce site avant mon départ, et en ai apprécié le nombre d'informations pratiques que j'y ai trouvé !
Bref, je suis maintenant bien installée, mais malheureusement, d'ici le 15 septembre, ma coloc rentre en métropole, et l'appart rendu aux propriétaires. Je serai donc à la rue et sans coloc, et cherche une solution. Pour les Calédoniens parmi vous, avez-vous des bons plans, ou idées quelconques ? Ou pour les métros parmi vous, certains seraient intéressés par une coloc à partir (à peu près) de cette date-là ??

J'arrive le 6 septembre à nouméa je logerai à l'auberge de jeunesse, je cherche une coloc pour la suite sachant que je cherche un boulot là bas...Si t'es interessé par de la coloc fais mois signe
C'est vrai que les logements sont un problème à Nouméa (tu es à Nouméa?).
Les apparts en location sont en généralement trés cher et tu engloutis vite ton salaire pour un logement plus que modeste. Toutefois Nouméa est une trés petite ville et tu as tôt fait de connaître tous le monde, j'entends par là que si tu es disposée à sortir un tant soit peu le soir sur Anse Vata ou sur la BD, tu connaitras bientôt le tout Nouméa (si tu es un peu extraverti). Les caldoches sont souvent trés accueillants (bien qu eméfiants) et tu auras vite un réseau d'amis qui devrait pallier à ta situation.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
