tout dabord, je ne sais pas dans quel pays tu vis, mais si c'est en France, saches que la Guadeloupe, la Martinique et la Réunion (ainsi que la Guyane) sont EN France. Ce sont des départements français comme tous les autres.
Ca n'est pas anodin de le savoir quand on planifie de s'installer la bas. 😉
Maintenant, je te l'accorde ce sont des départements français... dépaysants, quoique Lille peux être dépaysant pour un Marseillais.
J'ai vécu en Guadeloupe 4 ans, j'y suis revenus il y à 3 mois.
Pour répondre à ta question, je te conseillerai (par ordre de mes préférences, connaissances et expériences) :
- en premier la Réunion
- la Martinique,
- et la Guadeloupe
Mon avis se base surtout sur la qualité et facilité de la vie.
D'abord la Réunion, car c'est une île magnifique. On y trouve certes peu de plages au sable blanc, mais les paysages sont sompteux, et la population y est trés diversifiées et chaleureuses. Nombre de mes amis y ayant vécu, la préfére de loin à la Guadeloupe par l'intégration qui y est beaucoup plus facile.
La Martinique, quand à elle, présente beaucoup d'aspects similaires à la Guadeloupe, tout en ayant des infrastructures plus riches (routes, industries, commerces, ...) La mentalité y est plus dynamique et "métropolitaine" (ceci est un atout pour certains un défaut pour d'autres) Les mouvements sociaux (grèves, ..) y sont moins importants que la Guadeloupe. Par contre les paysages y sont plus pauvres.
C'est une île sublime mais qui n'a pas la chance, comme la Guadeloupe, d'avoir des dépendances.
- La Guadeloupe enfin, qui a des atouts innombrables (ses dépendances splendides : Les Saintes, Marie Galante, la Désirade..), un paysage somptueux, de magnifique plages de sables du plus blanc au plus noirs, mais qui malheureusement les exploite assez mal. L'île est en conflit social permanent, grèves à répetitions, blocus des pompes à essences, pannes d'eau, électricité, etc... et il est malheureusement difficile de s'intégrer réellement (je dis réellement car bien sur on peux y vivre bien, mais en tant que métropolitain, on sera toujours "d'ailleurs", et c'est un sentiment un peu difficile à gérer au bout d'un moment)
Donc voila pour répondre à ta question,
Et je précise que tout l'avis que je porte n'est que le mien, d'autre pourrai te conseiller tout l'inverse 😛
Quand à ta branche de métier, la charpente métallique est trés présente en Guadeloupe, je ne sais pas sur les autres îles.

pour décrire l'ile, il y a le nord et le sud. Le nord est plus montagneux, plus vert mais pas moins sympa, ça bouge d'une autre façon, les gens sont plus cool ça brasse moins les touristes, donc moins de faux décors à la walt disney des antilles. Genre il y a Le Carbet avec plein de snacks au bord de la plage ou on se pose et ou tout le monde parle avec tout le monde. Seule différence le sable est un peu beige...
Le sud, pour moi, c'est du surfait de l'arnaque à touriste qui est d'ailleurs bien souvent désagréable genre Marcel et Raymonde qui ont gagné un voyage de chez Panzani et qui n'ont aucune culture du voyage.
Enfin tout le monde fait sa vie à sa guise. J'y habite depuis 14 ans et j'y suis arrivé à 20 ans.
Les iles autour sont chouettes pour passer des vacances ou des weekend. A chacun d'etre capable d'y trouver son bonheur ! ...
Dans ma profession, le batiment est régi par la convention collective du batiment de la Martinique, et les grilles de salaires correspondent aux mm échelons qu'en métropole.

la Martinique, c'est très sympa, il fait bon toute l'année (minimum 25°, max 32°), le nord caraibes où j'habite est un endroit magnifique, mais la société est très cloisonnée : métros d'un côté, noirs de l'autre et les békés au milieu. les métros n'aiment pas les békés, les noirs n'aiment pas les blancs, et les békés sont fermés. dans le nord caraibes, les gens sont beaucoup plus chaleureux qu'ailleurs. perso, je déteste la société d'ici, je suis ouverte d'esprit... les pires sont les métros (et pourtant je suis mariée à un métro !) qui croient tout connaître et tout comprendre et qui prennent les békés pour des racistes anti-noirs. Quelle stupidité ! comment les békés pourraient vivre en Martinique en étant racistes ??? D'après moi, je pense plutôt que ce sont les métros les vrais racistes, anti béké qui les jugent sans les connaître. Quant aux noirs, ils se suffisent à eux-mêmes, et étant en majorité, ils ne souffrent pas du tout du soi-disant racisme des békés. Je travaille avec des antillais noirs, et je les respecte autant qu'ils le méritent ! Et si les békés sont fermés, c'est parce que les gens ont de tels a priori sur eux qu'ils ne peuvent pas agir autrement ! il faut dire que la plupart des métros qui arrivent ici sont des fonctionnaires anti-béké qui ont tout le pouvoir pour les faire chier !
j'ai qu'une envie, c'est de me barrer d'ici, mais je pense qu'en tant que métro, on peut profiter du soleil sans pb et se faire des potes à condition d'être socialiste et de fumer de la beu...
