Je suis actuellement à la recherche d'un emploi à Dakar où je compte m'installer cette année.
J'ai déjà parcouru quelques sites dont sengelaisement etc mais je voudrais avoir des témoignages de personnes y vivant déjà.
Je recherche des infos par rapport au logement/ loyers et coût de la vie quotidienne : je ne compte pas vivre à l'européenne et un simple deux pièces me suffirait. Je connais le pb des embouteillages constants d'où mes questions :)
Est il plus conseillé de prendre un meublé dans un premier temps ou une chambre?
Et autre question: a t'on besoin d'un visa pour travailler au Sénégal?

Avant de parler logement, et vie à Dakar, une question : tu as un diplome ? Tu comptes trouver du travail comment? Parce que rien qu'à Dakar, c'est 40% de chomeurs. Si tu as consulté le site senegalaisement.com, tu devrais savoir que le Sénégal, ce n'est pas l'occident.
Côté logement, tres tres cher Dakar centre, mais plus tu t'éloignes, moins les loyers sont élevés.

Tout d'abord je te rassure je ne me fais aucune illusion par rapport à la vie à Dakar! Je sais qu'il y a du chômage, je sais aussi que les loyers ont augmenté etc...
J'ai un deug Anglais, j'ai vécu 6 ans à Londres et j'ai une expérience plutôt dans les Telecoms. J'ai mis mon CV sur senjob et d'autres sites, j'ai déjà envoyé mon CV à des cabinets de recrutement là-bas, mon ami va en "distribuer' à droite et à gauche aussi, je commence à me faire quelques contatcs donc on verra.
Je n'ai aucune envie de vivre parmi les Français ou les expatriés au centre de Dakar donc je sais déjà que je m'éloignerai un peu mais ça dépendra du boulot aussi et des embouteillages!
Je ne cherche pas à trouver un mini Paris en Afrique, je sais que la réalité est différente.....

Cabinet de recrutement? Tu sais combien est payé un professeur ici? Moi à ta place je chercherai depuis Paris, pour des jobs internationaux.
Ensuite, une fois installée, tu choisiras ta façon de vivre, car ici la communauté française se divise en différents groupes, qui ne se rencontrent que durant la fête du 14 Juillet, à la résidence de l'ambassade de France.

J'ai décidé de revenir dans ce pays il y a 4 ans. Je pourrais répondre à tes questions d'embauches mais j'aurais besoin de connaitre ton secteur professionel. Ici aussi il y a des secteurs bouchés.😕
Pour ta question: oui, on a de gros problèmes d'embouteillages à Dakar, c'est parfois l'enfer et tu n'y couperas pas en travaillant au plateau ( centre des activités économiques de Dakar), mais bon après faut essayer de jongler sur les horaires ( descente des bureaux, écoles, cérémonies religieuses ), le plus râlant c'est qu'il n'y a que 12 kilomètres à parcourir !!🙂
Tu peux rester 3 mois au Sénégal sans visa en temps que touriste. Si tu prolonges, comme çà à l'air d'être le cas: soit tu vas faire un tour en Mauritanie et tu remets le compteur à zéro, soit tu faire faire une carte d'étranger, pour çà tu dois constituer un dossier de demande de résidence : Passeport, Attestation d'embauche de ton employeur, extrait de casier judiciaire de moins de 3 mois, photos d'identité, extrait d'acte de naissance, et une caution de 75 000 F CFA ( 750 FF) si tu es de nationalité française. Tu trouveras tous les renseignements complémentaires auprès du Consulat et de L' Ambassade de France à Dakar.
En ce qui concerne les logements et les loyers: à moins d'avoir un super taf ( expatriation, corps militaire...), saches que les boulots sont très mals rémunérés etqu'on ne connait pas les 35 heures au Sénégal : Donc, en règle général, bcoup de boulot et pas beaucoup d'argent !!😐
Si tu veux trouver des loyers abordables, je te conseille de prospecter dans les quartiers autour du centre et non au centre même, des quartiers comme les Mamelles, Sicap Baobab, VDN, Yoff.. Là c'est un peu plus abordable.

J'ai lu votre post sur VoyageForum, et je vous encourage à venir éssayer l'aventure de Dakar. Je suis étranger et je vis ici depuis 14 ans, il est certes possible d'y trouver du boulot mais il faudrait vous assurer d'avoir un profil imposant dans le domaine que vous cherchez. Le coût de la vie est raisonnable, 90 à 120 mille francs CFA pour un 2 pièces bien, les gens sont coordiaux et l'ambiance est bonne. Naturellement il faut rester vigilant car il n y a pas que du bon coeur sous un beau sourire à Dakar!

Actuellement entrepreneur dans l'immobilier, transport, je cherche un(e) associé(e) / partenaires/ fondation pour un projet dans l'agriculture donc je suis propriétaire de 10 hectares de terrain.
Les hectares étant inexploités durant des années faute des moyens financiers car le projet nécessite un apport je dirait considérable , acteur principal que je suis je dispose d'un apport minimal.
Je crois qu'il est temps de donner vie à cette espace pour des besoins nesseciteux afin qu'il soit dans un intérêt commun à la société.
Le projet est simple :
1) Cultiver du maïs+usine de transformation en farine
2) Un mini super marché+une boulangerie moderne en utilisant la farine pour pâtisserie etc...
3) Construire un service de santé
4) Construire une école maternelle et primaire
5) Construire des logements gratuits pour expatriés à la retraite en échange de leurs participations gratuite dans leurs domaines respectives.
Ceci étant un projet dont j'y crois , j'invite toutes personnes intéressées à apporter une touche personnelle, sous la forme d'un conseil, une orientation et enfin une implication.
NB: projet à l'échelle nationale et internationale au niveau de l'emplois.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
