Je suis une jeune diplômée de Français Langue Etrangère et on me propose de travailler 6 mois pour l'alliance française de Santiago.
Dans les préparations de mon départ, de nombreuses questions se posent: je dois solliciter un visa tourisme à l'aéroport qui me sera ensuite échangé lors de ma prise de poste. Mais mon billet d'avion est de 6 mois ouvrable: je ne risque pas de me voir refuser le visa tourisme à l'aéroport?Je dois passer une nuit à St Domingue avant de reprendre un bus pour Santiago. Y a-t'il un hotel pas trop cher; quels sont les tarifs des bus...Enfin, je me trouve pour le moment sans logement; mon employeur ayant attendu la confirmation de mon billet d'avion pour m'annoncer que l'appartement figurant dans l'annonce de recrutement a déjà été loué: est-il facil de se loger pour pas trop cher?

Il me semble que ton visa tourisme ne sera pas refusé. Je crois qu'il sera valable pour 3 mois. Après quand tu quitteras la RD dans 6 mois, tu devras payer une petite amende pour avoir dépassé le 3 mois du visa. Tu peux bien confirmer cette info sur place avec tes collègues.

je suis francaise, je vis depuis 2 ans en republique dominicaine, je suis mariee avec un dominicain et nous possedons une agence de voyages a Santiago Rodriguez, c est a 1h30 de Santiago en voiture car les routes sont assez mauvaises 😕

pour le visa je te conseille d appeler le consulat de republique dominicaine a paris, rue vernier je crois, eux ils vont tout te dire et super bien te conseiller
et je te conseille de prendre des Euros, car tout le monde parle de Dollar mais tu verras l euro se change partout et il vaut beaucoup plus cher 1 euro - 44.6 pesos dominicains 1 dollar vaut 33. pesosdominicains

pour t y rendre de l aeroport, il faut prendre un taxi et la c est cher 1000 pesos soit environ 23 euros pour te conduire a l hotel, nous connaisons un taxi de confiance sur la capitale, si tu as besoin, il peut aussi venir te chercher a l hotel et te conduire a la station de bus je suppose CARIBE TOURS pour te rendre a santiago la ca vaut 100 pesos tout trajet intra muros la capitale soit 3 euros . essaie de changer un peu a l aeroport mais pas trop car le taux n est pas interessant et a santiago tu trouveras mieux, le voyage en bus saint domingue / santiago avec CARIBE TOURS bus super confortables environ 3h pour je crois 200 pesos
change environ 100 euros soit 4000 PESOS et tu devrais arriver a santiago sans problemes, divise tout bien par 44 pour avoir une idee des prix, je vais pas te dire mais ils vont tous te voir arriver alors sur tes gardes
mais en regle generale ils sont super sympas et vont toujours essayer de t aider

venez les francais, ici c est un peu trop top americain, k fichtre vive la baguette et le camember
Santiago est très sympa comme ville hors Santo Domingo et tu ne seras pas trop loin de Puerto Plata et Cabarete. Bon avec le bus sûrement 2h à 2h30 de trajet.
Par contre faire attention le soir si tu comptes bien sortir, essayer de ne pas te promener trop tard le soir et surtout seule.

Je ne connais pas d'adresses de petits hôtels sur Punta Cana mais tu auras intérêt à regarder du côté du village de Bávaro à l'extrême opposé de la plage car plus proche de cela, tu auras un tarif un peu plus cher.
Ou peut-être voir sur Airbnb si tu peux trouver une chambre chez quelqu'un pour pas cher pour une nuit.
Non, pas de change à l'aéroport ou seulement le nécessaire. Tu te feras tuer avec le taux de change que ces guichets de change font. Le lendemain tu peux changer dans une banque locale si tu as du temps avant de prendre le bus.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
