Bonjour,
j'aimerais partir dans le sud du Maroc avec ma 300 KLX : est-ce qu'une autonomie de 250 km est suffisante ? est-ce que les pistes sont roulantes (je veux dire plus adaptées aux gros trails qu'aux petits enduros) ? est-ce qu'on peut aller taquiner la dune sans se perdre ?

Pour avoir fait plusieurs raids de l'amitié au Maroc et si je me souviens bien, il fallait avoir au moins 300km d'autonomie, mais il y avait toujours un ravitaillement au bout, donc après cela va dépendre des endroits où tu vas t'aventurer, mais 250 kil cela peut faire un poil juste... surtout si tu es seul ou juste avec des motos, tu as quoi comme réservoir ?
après les pistes sont roulantes, caillouteuses et cassantes dans l'Atlas, plus souples dans le sud, dans les deux cas c'est beaucoup plus sympa avec une enduro qu'avec un trail à bloc de bagages 🙂, lapalisse n'aurait pas dit mieux !!!
Si tu veux faire des dunes sans te perdre, tu as l'erg de Merzouga, à une trentaine de km d'Erfoud environ, les dunes sont superbes mais pas trop étendues, la traversée peut être sympa, mais à ne pas faire seul quand même !

Pour l'autonomie à la limite c'est pas un problème, je peux changer de réservoir (le mien ne fait que 10 litres...).
Je ne suis pas sûr que tu fasses une Lapalissade quand tu dis que c'est forcément mieux en enduro, car d'une part j'aurais aussi des bagages à emmener, et puis un enduro d'origine n'est pas fait pour aller vite (je dois plafonner à guère + de 100) et c'est aussi pour ça que je demandais si les pistes sont roulantes. Reste la maniabilité, et c'est sûr qu'on est mieux sur un enduro que sur un trail.
A part ça, les raids de l'amitié, ça consiste en quoi ?

j'ai fait le maroc en mai 2005 avec un 900 tiger chargé à bloque(300 kg). Beaucoup de route et quleque piste. L'atlas est plein de cailloux tranchant et le sud est balayer par de grosse rafale de vent . De plus tous le sahara oxidentale ( au sud de TAN-TAN) est soumis à réglementation consenant le hors piste à cause des mines. Si tu veut prendre un pite renseigne toi sur place au militaire. Les dune sont vers Merzouga, dans la shara oxidentale c'est de la piste roulante qui serpente d'un oasis à l'autre.
Prévoit une bone autonomie car entre le vent, la mauvaise qualié de l'essence et le fait de rouler sur une piste ta moto consome plus(entre 10 et 20 % pour la miéne).😉
oui efectivement, c'est mieux en enduro quand tu voyages léger 😉, et si tu peux avoir un peu plus d'autonomie c'est bien car tu consommes un peu plus sur la piste en général. Je pense que tu peux envisager de rallonger aussi un peu ta démultiplication (1 dent de plus en sortie de boite par ex) cela te donnera un peu plus d'allonge.
Il faudra que tu soignes particulièrement ta fixation de porte bagage, je ne sais pas comment est la boucle arriere du cadre sur le klx, mais je ne pense pas qu'elle soit prévue pour un gros chargement, donc bien peaufiner le truc, mais pas de souci tu trouveras toujours quelqu'un pour te le réparer au cas où...
Le raid de l'amitié, c'est une balade au road book qui se faisait au Maroc, basée sur l'échange, l'assoss qui organisait (AIO, amitiés internationale organisation) distribuait de l'aide récoltée pendant l'année sous forme de matériel scolaire, médocs, vêtements dans les villages sur le parcours et en échange le maroc offrait un accueil à l'étape du soir, tentes et repas. c'est vraiment un bon coup de moto, ou tu peux prendre le temps de t'arreter et de rencontrer les gens carce n'est pas un course, avec de belles étapes de navigation, des bivouacs dans le désert, du sable, tu roules léger parce que l'organisation transporte une cantine avec tes affaires, j'en garde un excellent souvenir... cette année il devait avoir lieu en Algérie mais a été annulé au dernier moment, mais j'ignore si le principe est toujours le même ?

Je crois qu'un enduro léger comme le mien n'est pas très adapté à ce genre de balade... à moins comme tu le pécises Chris de changer la démultiplication, mais aussi le réservoir ; nécessité du porte-bagages ? je peux pas me contenter d'un sac à dos ? Je pensais, peut-être naivement, partir avec un sac de 10 kg, comme je fais pour de petits treks, car je ne compte pas faire un raid mais faire de petites étapes de village en village.
Enfin bon, de toute façon c pas pour tout de suite, et puis je ne partirais pas seul, et c aussi pourquoi je crois qu'un enduro ne fera pas l'affaire : tous les gars qui font ce genre de raid y vont avec des gros trails donc si je pars avec eux je vais flinguer mon moteur ou ils vont passer leur temps à m'attendre. Peut-être qu'avec une strucure comme celle du Raid de l'Amitié ça serait jouable ; ils ont un site officiel ?

Perso, je suis pas fan du sac a dos, je trouve ça assez genant mais c'est possible. Sur la piste, tu vas alterner position assis/debout, et avec le poids du sac au bout d'un moment... 🏴☠️. J'ai aussi peur que ton sac soit un peu juste en terme de volume, même si tu fais light au niveaux bagages, il te faudra un peu d'équipement pour la moto ; au moins 2 chambres à air et de quoi démonter tes roues. le compromis ça peut être d'adapter un petit porte paquet sur lequel tu fixes tout ce qui est lourd, volumineux (outillage, duvet, flotte).

I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.

Hi, I’d like to take a 15-day "break" to get away from the surrounding hustle and bustle.
Why not explore the Peloponnese!
I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.
Do a loop.
What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

How do you get visas for the countries I’ll be crossing: Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile? Are they e-Visas, obtained at the border, or through embassies?

Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike. Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering: Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*? Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.

Next October we’re planning to ride the Ruta de la Plata by motorcycle—a historic Spanish route that runs from Gijón to Seville, also known as the N630.
Has anyone here already ridden it?
Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.

This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍
In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.
For Morocco, I’ve planned stages of 200 to 300 km per day.
