Les expats qui ont des enfants scolarisés à Phuket pourrait nous donner leur avis sur les différentes écoles présentes sur l'ile.
Nous sommes déja au courant de se méfier des expats français, alors ceux qui veulent nous rencontrer dans le but de nous vendre quelque chose, merci de s'abstenir...
Etant 17 jours sur l'ile, je ne manquerai pas de mettre mon avis à mon retour sur les écoles et donner tous les conseils que nous récolterons, je pense que ça pourra sans doute aider de futurs expats!!!

Lis un peu les forums et tu verras que l'un des premiers conseils est de se méfier des expats français plus que des thais!!!!
Il y a pas mal de discussion à se sujet, certains expats français, n'attendent que les nouveaux venus pour soit disant les aider....à s'installer.
J'ai entendu pas mal d'histoires donc méfiance....
D'ailleurs mon post le prouve, je n'ai eu aucune réponse, pourtant des expats il y en a sur place....
Sur un autre forum, je connais deux mamans qui souhaitent me rencontrer et m'ont déja donnés pleins de bons conseils depuis plsusieurs mois déja!!!
Et sur ce forum, une personne aussi mais qui va quitter Phuket pour des raisons familiales!!!
Ne voyant malheureusement pas beaucoup de retour des expats installés, je ferai un post après mes trois semaines passées à Phuket.
Beaucoup de questions restent sans réponse et je pense qu'on se pose tous un peu près les mêmes questions.
Je me suis déja fait une liste de ce que je dois voir et faire, par ex:
- visiter les écoles, ( beaucoup de posts à ce sujet en nous donnant le nom des écoles, mais pas d'oppinion sur ces écoles!!!!
Je donnerai mes impressions à mon retour, et donnant des renseignements précis, les prix, les horraires, les programmes etc...
- voir les produits que l'on ne trouve pas à Phuket, et il y en a sans doute. (produit hygiène, alimentation etc...)
- voir aussi les prix des aliments que l'on a l'habitude de consommer, fruits, légumes, viandes, poisson etc....
- les prix des différents restos, des exemples concrets en mangeant dans des fast food type mc do ou KFC, resto italien, français etc... et on va en faire pas mal des restos puisque nous allons y manger tous les jours pendant 3 semaines....
- les prix des meubles,
- les prix de tout ce qui est HIFI
- les abonnements internet, cable , portable
- le prix d'une consultation chez le médecin
- que trouve t'on dans les pharmacies? délivrés avec ou sans ordonnance?
le prix des soins de beauté, manucure, épilation, soin du visage etc...
- prix chez les opticiens (je suis myope comme une taupe)
- prix des scooter et voitures sur place, que trouve t'on comme marque et model?
- prix des assurances ( maisons, appart, moto, voiture)
- un détartrage chez le dentiste
- le prix de l'essence (même si ça doit changer régulièrement comme chez nous)
- voir aussi les prix pratiqués pour des locations d'appartements suivant les endroits
- les livres pour enfants; les manuels scolaires etc....
- les prix des salles de sport
Bon j'ai encore pas mal de choses a voir ca serait trop long de tout mettre...

Bonjour .. si tu commence ton expatriation sur la méfiance je crois que tu n’iras pas loin .. bien sur il ya les profiteurs ..mais es nécessaire de le mettre en avant ..
pour phuket .. ne pas croire que la vie n'est pas cher .. c'est peut être l'endroit le + cher de thailande .. quant au questionnaire il ya un consulat très sympathique qui peut te guider également .. bonne chance
ps je n'ai rien a vendre ni a acheter .. ( enfin si une moto sur bkk ........😎)

eh bien je dois dire que c'est vraiment gentil à toi de nous faire un debrief des ton retour!!!!!! Nous avons pour projet de partir également en famille et c'est vrai que toutes les questions d'ordre pratique que tu as noté sont intéressantes!

bonjour, si j ai bien suivi tu dois etre rentrée de phuket, donc ma question est trés simple : qu est ce que tu en as pensé pour y vivre en famille ? mon ami aimerait y aller mais moi un peu plus retissante, j ai un fils de 10 ans, donc l ecole la vie thai au quotidien je ne sais pas si je m y ferais, mais on me dit que je me pose trop de questions !! merci d avance
Pour te répondre, je dirai que nous aussi avons beaucoup hésité, mais nous partons en avril 2012 avec nos deux enfants, donc on verra bien combien de temps nous resterons......

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.
3) Build a healthcare service
4) Build a nursery and primary school
5) Construct free housing for retired expatriates in exchange for their voluntary contributions in their respective fields.
This is a project I truly believe in, and I invite anyone interested to add their personal touch—whether through advice, guidance, or involvement.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
