Voila je prévois de voyager en thailande plus précisément a Phuket avec des amis en aout 2011 😛 je sais c encore dans plus d'un ans mais je veux que mon voyage soit parfait (enfin j'espère ) bref, donc j'ai regardé sur le site GoVoyage pour avoir un aperçu du prix et je trouve pour 19 nuits billet d'avion + hotel a partir de 1230E environ et je voulais savoir si il paraissait mieux de prendre l'hotel a part du billet car je prévois de voyager sur la compagnie Ethiad de Paris jusqu'à Bangkok et sur Air Asia ou Bangkok Airways de Bangkok à Phuket et j'avais déja regarder je pouvais avoir un billet au environ de 777E en le prenant a partir d'Octobre et environ 40E de BKK à PKT, c'est une première pour moi de partir dans ce pays alors je voulais avoir quelque petit renseignement si possible pour se loger et sur les activités qui serait intéressante =)
Ps: habitant la région parisiene (93 plus precisement ) je voulais savoir si il y avait des personne qui conaissait des bonnes agence sérieuse qui pourait m'aider?? et j'aurais un budjet perso d'environ 400E est-ce suffisant?
Que recherches-tu comme type de voyage? Je crois que là, c'est déjà la 1ère question... :-)
Si tu souhaites faire un voyage avec un bel hôtel, sans souci de logement, bref un truc plus organisé, je pense que tu dois trouver bon nombre d'agences en France qui te combineront le vol et l'hôtel.
Toutefois, si tu es un peu aventureux, je te conseille plutôt de partir en choisissant toi-même tes logements, en prenant en compte d'éventuels déplacements. Le meilleur moyen est de t'équiper d'un bon guide, style Lonely Planet ou le Guide du Routard. A partir de là, tu regardes ce qu'il y a à voir/ce qui t'intéresse là où tu vas.
Ensuite, tu peux "prévoir" et éventuellement réserver depuis la France les logements. Je connais peu le Guide du Routard, toutefois c'est sûrement comme le Lonely Planet et donc tu as tous les styles de logements avec les commentaires, les prix, l'adresse et le contact.
Sinon, tu peux également regarder sur les sites comme TripAdisator our www.asiarooms.ch (c'est un site qui regroupe des offres hôtelières dans toute l'Asie).

je te conseille limite de booker les 2 voir 3 premiere nuit maximum, ensuite j'espere que vous allez bouger un peu, avoir deja tout reserver vous serez bloquer
mois d'aout il y a des risque de pluie si en effet c'est pluvieux ca serait mieux d'aller ailleurs sur une autre ile, ce qui sera imposible si vous avez deja tout booker.
vous inquietez pas la Thailande est tres facile pour les touristes.
Ben je voudrais profiter des activités présente sur Phuket genre jet ski, excursion, plage, karting pourquoi pas enfin voila bien profité quoi 😛 mais ce qui me préoccupe le plus c'est l'hébergement je me vois mal arrivé sur place et être en galère pour avoir un hôtel.

trouver un hôtel sur phuket est très facile tkt pas...
pour ma part je suis partit pour la 1er foi en décembre, et j'avais réserver ticket avion + hôtel 5*
puis sur place j'ai fait la connaissance de plusieurs français qui eux on juste pris le ticket d'avion aller retour, et franchement quand j'ai fait le compte ca reviens bien moin chère😉
j'ai vu leur chambre et elles étaient correcte🙂
donc je te conseille de prendre une chambre sur place tu trouvera facilement.
le pris était entre 500 et 1000bath (10 a 20 euro) pour 2 personne, puis aussi tu pourra voyager autour de phuket ci tu le veux.
pour tous ce qui est excursion idem tous les 30 mètres😛 tu trouvera des bureaux qui organise toute sorte d'excursion( plongée, visite des iles autour de phuket etc...)
tu a aussi des stands de tir, promenade sur éléphant, jet ski, je te conseille d'aller voir le big bouddha (gratuis) et le zoo de phuket...
ci tu veux savoir le prix des excursion dit moi les quelles.
après il a un détaille qui me fait peur en aout LA MOUSSON 🏴☠️

Oui on m'as conseillé aussi de prendre une chambre une fois arrivé la bas 🙂, et question mousson j'ai lu sur un forum qu'au mois d'aout éfectivement il y avait des risques pOur que la pluie gâche un peu mes vacances, mais il y a un msg d'une personne qui était la bas qui disait qu'en 1mois de vacances il l'avait plu seulement 4 jours donc...
Ne te fie pas aux prix d'avions 1 an à l'avance c 'est très alléatoire tu as bien le temps parfois même on trouve sur le net quelques temps avant des tarifs bcp moins cher qu'indiqué.
pour le logement bookez éventuellement 1 nuit pour l'arrivée mais après sur place surtout à cette époque de l'année tu trouveras des trucs très confortables et pas chers normal c'est pas terrible à cette époque, même les thais vont sur koh samui parfois...car phuket en juillet août septembre 🤪!!!!
par contre encore une fois tu as vraiment tort de vouloir aller à Phuket en août ça peut être vraiment des grosses pluies et mer très mauvaise interdisant les sorties en bâteaux et même jet ski (prix en saison de 1000 à 1500 bath les 15-20 mn), des éclaircies bien sures peuvent être présentes mais la mer sera toujours mauvaise.... c'est même arrivée que certaines années que les liaisons phuket - koh phi phi soient certains jours parfaitement impossibles . C'est pas parce qu'une personne te dit qu'elle a eu que 4 jours de mauvais sur son séjour que tu auras pareil ça devait être une des rares année 2005 par exemple où le temps était "déréglé" et qu'il avait fait beau juillet août et un temps pourri en novembre -décembre. Il faut tout de même se fier au généralités du climat et pas aux coup de bols de certains... c'est vraiment dommage de rater la découverte de la thailande dans les meilleures conditions. Si tu t'inscrits sur un forum juste pour préparer ton voyage sans te creuser la tête et que tu ne te fies pas aux conseils de certains habitués du pays autant que tu te débrouilles par toi même.....car d'autres ne te donneront pas d'indications utiles....tu nous raconteras l'année prochaine ton expérience au pire
donc fie toi plutôt à ceux qui y sont allés souvent (nous très souvent et d'autres membres encore plus qui connaissent parfaitement la thailande)..... donc ne rêve pas trop pour le climat en août , tu pourras à peine faire du jetski et surtout prends assurance. tiens d'ailleurs avis aux amateurs de jetski il ya encore une dizaine de jours la police a fait du zèle et a demandé au retour au bord de plage de patong à des touristes utilisateurs de jetski leur permis au grand étonnement de certains touristes... ils ne l'avaient pas et amendes sont tombées..... et il ya eu qq accidents matériels assez importants car il ya eu 3-4 jours de fortes vagues qui d'habitude ne sont pas significatives en mars.... et là idem touristes se retrouvant avec de fortes sommes à payer pour rembourser les dégâts....
il vaut mieux que tu prévois à cette époque de l'année l'ile de koh samui dans le golf du siam le temps y est meilleur....
le jet ski c'était 1000(petit) ou 2000(grand) bath😉
mes sache que tous les prix son négociable en Thaïlande??? tu peux tjrs avoir moin chère que le prix de base...
pour la mousson moi on ma dit comme toi c'est une question de chance.
tien voici quelques prix sur phuket de différente activité:
louer une motobike 1 jours: 200 bath
visite des iles (phi phi, james bond, similian, etc) entre 1500 et 2300 bath,
ces visite dure toute la journée: on viens te chercher a l'hôtel vers 8h30 du mat, tu est nourri et tu a boisson a volonté, tu tjrs 2 prix sur les brochures je te conseille le moin chère la seul chausse qui change ces que tu sera sur un bateau plus lent mes déjà rapide😉
le zoo: 500bath
hélicoptère pour survolé l'ile 7000bath
balade sur d'os de éléphant: 500bath 20min (tu peux aller a 2 donc ca reviens a 250bath)
transat pour une journée: de 150bath a 200bath
le big bouddha: gratuit
pour les discothèque il a pas d'entrée a payer a part une ou deux😛
fait attention juste aux pris des alcools en disco ces très chère 🤪 ( moi et mes amis on allai sur la plage avec nos bouteille, puis ver 1h du mat en disco histoire pas trop consommer cars les prix des alcools son identique a ici.)
je te donne encore un avis personnel évite les tuk-tuk juste pour un trajet dans patong ils vont te demander 100bath alor que tu a une motobike pour un jour a 200bath😉 hésite pas a visiter les plages de phuket surtout celles du sud, bien plus belle que patong beatch qui est déjà magnifique 😛

Merci du conseil je prend note, je part en Aout car pour tous vous dire c'est un voyage entre ami nous fréterons notre Bac ( si je l'ai!!! ) donc c'est pour cela que j'ai choisie la Thaïlande beaucoup de mon entourage sont déjà partie plusieurs fois là-bas bref tous sa pour dire que se soit juillet ou aout je voudrais y allé alors que me conseille tu? sinon autre choix pour autre voyage en juillet - août pas mal pour des jeunes l'ile de BALI , sur place très facile pour se loger et pas cher et temps idéal pour l'indonésie

I’m currently working on a 30-day itinerary for May/June 2027.
10 days in eastern Java (Malang, Bromo, waterfalls, Meru Beriti Park, Banyuwangi, and Ijen), a short transit in Ubud for a few days, then Flores before heading back to Jakarta.
We’ll spend 15 days in Flores (the classic route: Moni, Bajawa, Riung, Ruteng, ending in Labuan Bajo).
I’d love some firsthand feedback on flights to Maumere or Ende from Bali Denpasar. I know there are no direct routes and that you have to connect through Labuan Bajo or Timor (I think), which isn’t an issue in itself.
But I’ve read here and there that flights to these destinations can be delayed—or worse, canceled—and that it’s better to fly in and out of Labuan Bajo, which isn’t exactly ideal...

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:
- Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

I’m struggling to wrap up the end of my itinerary, even though it’s pretty straightforward (long but simple).
Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??

From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄).
Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM.

For those familiar with SOUTHEAST ASIA, I'm planning to leave in mid-June (with the trip ending at the latest in November), and I don’t have a precise idea of exact places or itineraries yet. The thing is, this period is usually the rainy season...
Any advice? I was thinking of Malaysia or Indonesia, like Sulawesi, for example (all countries and islands in Southeast Asia interest me except Bali).
Any recommendations? I’m doing my research online, but if anyone here has the time and knowledge, I’d love to hear from you.
My partner and I are planning a trip to Indonesia in September-October 2026. It’ll be our first time in Asia, and we’re thinking of hitting the classic spots in East Java and Bali, then wrapping up with a cruise around Komodo for some snorkeling/diving.
