y'en a qui paie en cash, mais pas tous. Pr certains jobs, on te demandera d'avoir un compte en banque, mais c'est pas grave, car avec un VVT, tu peux ouvrir un compte en banque gratuit.
J'arrive juste de la NZ avec un VVT. J'avais ouvert un compte à "Bank of New Zealand", je leur ai demandé que je désirais un compte sans aucun frais. Pas de pb, j'ai même eu une carte bancaire gratos' (utilisable 30 fois/mois pr retrait et paiement en NZ, au delà tu as des frais).
BILAN, j'ai eu tous mes salaires par virement, j'ai fermé mon compte le dernier jour à l'aéroport d'AKL SANS AUCUN FRAIS de ma part (si juste 1fois quand j'ai été demandé un relevé complet de mon compte = 1, 25 dollars).
Tu auras besoin également d'un numéro identification (IRD) pour les taxes sur ton salaire (c'est l'entreprise où tu travailleras qui s'occupe de tout, t'as juste à leur donner le numéro IRD). Pour avoir un numéro IRD : http://www.ird.govt.nz/

Pour le boulot, tu as plein de nouvelles annonces dans le "New Zealand Heralds" chaque Mercredi et Samedi. Au début j'appellais les numéro téléphone fixe car gratos quand tu appelles de la même région. Ensuite, comme j'avais emmené mon portable français, j'ai pris une NZ carte SIM (Prepaid card) C'est important d'être joignable pour les jobs.
Sinon par internet, une multitude de sites comme par exemple : http://www.seek.co.nz/
n'hésites pas non plus à aller voir les gens directement, j'ai trouvé mon 1er job ainsi.
Tu verras bien mais, au début tu as l'impression de galérer, le 1er paraît difficile à décrocher, mais ensuite, tout se fait par les relations.

je ne sais pas exactement la durée max avec le même employeur, donc je préfère rien te dire là dessus. N'hésites pas à poser cette question à l'ambassade en France, ils sont de très bon conseil.
1er job : je l'ai trouvé 10j après mon arrivée en faisant du porte à porte. J'ai travaillé 3 soirs comme serveur ds un resto français/Italien. Je comprennais pas grand chose en anglais donc j'ai laché l'affaire.
Ensuite, j'ai continué mon porte à porte un peu partout, tout en continuant aussi à répondre aux annonces des journaux qui m'intéressaient. J'ai donc trouvé et bossé pendant 1 mois comme plongeur dans un resto (4 jours de boulot par semaine). Puis, par la suite, mon anglais s'étant bien amélioré (car je suis parti seul), et grâce aux relations, on m'a proposé un plein temps dans une entreprise de fruits de mer pour l'export. J'y suis resté plus de 3 mois, j'ai même été bossé en mer pendant 2 semaines après. Le boulot était dur mais c'est ainsi que j'ai pu avoir bcp de relations par la suite. C'était une expérience unique!
Donc ne vous inquiétez pas trop, si vous montrez de la volonté, de la disponibilité au travail, ça ne passera pas inaperçu et tout s'enchainera...
Pour répondre à tes autres questions,
il y a une "ANPE" mais c'est payant j'crois, même dans les backpackers tu peux demander conseil, il y a des services pour les jobs. Bref, il te suffit juste sinon de te présenter pour les différents jobs qui t'intéressent. Ils te demanderont si t'as un VVT, et hop c'est dans la poche! Tous les employeurs connaissent le VVT, donc don't worry.
Pour le boulot qui peut te loger et te nourrir, il y a le WWOOF (http://www.wwoof.co.nz/). Je ne connais pas perso, mais c'est assez populaire en NZ. Tu travailles dans des petites fermes biologiques (souvent des personnes reconverties)(fruits, légumes, jardins, animaux...) et tu es nourrit, logé gratuitement (Par contre pas de salaire), cool non!!! De même il est assez simple de trouver des fermes qui ont besoin de 2, 3 personnes.
le salaire minimum en général est de 10, 11 dollars de l'heure MINIMUM donc don't worry too. C'est assez simple de vivre pour pas cher, en plus vous êtes 2...

Je pars pour la novuelle zélande en début novembre 2007 et je devrais rester environ 4 mois la bas, voyager et travailler. pour ma part le travail agricole est mon domaine (cueillette de fruits) et décembre-janvier est justement la saison des récoltes (qui sétendent jusqua mai pour ce qui est des kiwis, pommes, raisins, etc)
pour ma part je fais ca parce que jadore le travail extérieur et parce que la cueillette est rendu assez payant pour moi. je débarque a auckland et je ferai un peu le tour pendant p-e 1 mois ou so. et oui il te faut un compte en banque que tu peux ouvrir avant de te rendre la bas ou sur place, ainsi que le no IRD. il te faut aussi un visa (ou seasonal work permit) que tu as lair davoir deja.
bref jai bien hate dy aller, cette place a lair dun vrai paradis
