A Genève, la cuisine compte comme pièce. Donc, un 2 pièces, c'est la cuisine + une chambre. Sur le canton de Vaud, (Nyon, Gland, ...) la cuisine ne compte pas comme pièce.
Question impôts, il y a l'impôt fédéral (suisse) et l'impôt cantonal (2 bulletins de versement séparés).
Pas de sécurité sociale. Tu dois avoir ton assurance maladie privée; ça taxe et aucun remboursement des factures du dentiste.

cet impôt te sera prélevé à la source (si en Suisse Permis B dans un premier temps, sauf erreur, si en France, permis F). Donc pas à te prendre la tête pour les impôts divers 😏.
On remplit une seule déclaration d'impôt à Genève (il y a un logiciel gratuit pour cela) avec 2 colonnes, l'une pour le canton, l'autre pour la Confédération (les déductions autorisées ne sont pas les mêmes). De février à novembre, on paie chaque mois le dixième du montant d'impôt cantonal total; en mars, je crois, on reçoit la facture pour l'impôt fédéral pour une année. Je ne sais plus si maintenant on peut aussi le payer en 10 mois ou pas.
Gland, moi je ne trouve pas terrible, c'est un peu la cité dortoir de Genève, en revanche c'est du bon côté pour arriver dans le quartier des organisations internationales. Il y a je pense quasiment tout le long une piste cyclable le long du lac, aucune idée si les scooters ont le droit d'y rouler, je suppose que non. Si vous voulez vous mettre au vélo...
J'essaye de trouver un logement sur Geneve / versoix / Vaud (pas trop loin) avec le parking mais c'est pas facile.
Du cote frontalier (prevessins/ ferney...) c'est aussi dur 🙁

De plus, les regies sont fermés le samedi...ce qui m'arrange pas pour venir visiter et prendre RV avec eux.
En semaine c'est pas possible car je n'ai de rtt a poser 🤪

Gland n'est plus une cité dortoir depuis de nombreuses années... ah ces étiquettes qui collent à vie 😉, mais une charmante cité de 20'000 habitants, ou l'on trouve tout, de plus le train pour Genève et pour Lausanne s'y arrêtent fréquemment (regarde www.cff.ch). A Gland, la majeure partie des immeubles ont des garages souterrains, avec de surcroit une place de parking obligatoire par appartement.
Regarde les petites annonces de : www.lacote.ch, le journal du coin.
Oui c'est exactement cela. Un quartier avec des tours ou des immeubles en "bande" existe bien à Gland, en bordure de l'autoroute, "Cité-Ouest" cela s'appelle. Il y a quelques années il valait mieux ne pas y vivre. Depuis le quartier a été réhabilité, les appartements en grande partie sont devenus des PPE (propriété par étage), l'autre partie est restée à la location. A noter que pour ces immeubles datent pour certains des années 60-70. Depuis c'est greffé tout autour de charmants petits immeubles, de 4 étages sur rez-de-chaussée, maximum, De nombreuses familles y vivent. A noter qu'aucun immeuble haut n'est autorisé maintenant (max. 4/5 étages sur rez). Toutes les constructions doivent obligatoirement avoir un parking souterrain, ce qui fait que peu de voitures sont garées en "ville".
Des communautés ? Oui si on peut parler de communauté. Toute la région de la côte est envahie 😏 (dans le bon sens du terme) d'anglophones. Employés pour la plupart dans des organisations internationales, ils ne se lient pas facilement aux suisses ou autres francophones. Mais c'est pas grave du tout. Par exemple dans l'immeuble ou je vis, à Nyon, sur 10 appartements, 7 sont occupés par des expats. Et nous avons de la chance, tous: allemand, français ou anglais sont sympas.
En dehors de cela, dans toutes ces petites villes il y a le choix de nombreuses activités sportives ou culturelles qui permettent d'y rencontrer de bien sympathiques personnes.
Je viens de m'apercevoir d'un nieme prb : les visites pour les apartements faites par les regies ne sont pas faites tous les jours!
Pour certains, c'est 2 x / semaine après 18h ........ce qui m'arrange pas du tout car je n'ai que 1j de repos a prendre jusqu'a fin octobre 🙁

C'est vraiment du n importe quoi ces horaires!!! Néanmoins au vu des nombreux internationaux qu il y a dans le coin, à mon avis il te faut négocier avec la régie un r.v. le samedi matin. C'est tout à fait faisable à mon avis...

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
