Je prévois de venir l'année prochaine à Montreal faire un dec pré universitaire en journalisme. Ayant déjà 23 ans, je voudrais savoir s'il est possible d'obtenir un permis de travail (et du coup un travail), après un dec pré universitaire. Ou doit-on obligatoirement continuer les études à la fac ?

Enfin comme vous dites, "pré universitaire", c'est dans le nom, il faut sûrement poursuivre les études ...

Effectivement, tu te qualifierais pour un permis post-diplôme, car même si c'est un DEC pré-universitaire, c'est quand même un diplôme collégial d'un cégep (l'immigration ne semble pas faire la distinction entre les 2 types de DEC).
Cela dit, trouver un emploi en communication avec un DEC général, bonne chance...C'est un milieu très compétitif, et pour le journalisme il faut vraiment avoir une formation universitaire (baccalauréat en communication, avec spécialisation en journalisme, par exemple).
Et sans vouloir te décourager, une Française fraîchement arrivée, avec son accent pointu, n'a à peu près aucune chance de trouver un emploi dans ce domaine. On embauchera un Québécois né dans la province, au mieux un néo-Québécois installé depuis des années au Québec et ayant perdu l'accent et ses ''manières'' de son pays d'origine bref, en ayant totalement intégré les codes sociaux.
Mais si tu passes 2 ans dans un cégep d'ici, que tu sais développer efficacement ton réseau de contacts, à fond pendant ces 2 années, que tu es prête à travailler gratuitement ou presque, tu trouveras peut-être du travail en lien avec le journalisme, mais faudra se battre...

Justement j'aimerai moi aussi travailler dans le domaine du sport, en tant que présentatrice. J'ai même un projet d'émission ... Je ne sais pas si ça m'aiderait à trouver, du coup, un travail plus facilement.

Je n'ai pas dit que c'était totalement impossible. Je dis que c'est tres difficile, surtout pour une nouvelle arrivante sans diplôme pertinent.
Oui, je sais de quel article tu fais allusion. Mais le journal en question est le Journal Le Métro, un quotidien gratuit où les salaires sont plutôt bas. Pas pour rien que le gars dit que les 3/4 des CV qu'il reçoit proviennent de Français... les Quebecois n'acceptent pas des emplois au salaire de crève-faim! Et cet article dit justement qu'il y a de plus en plus de compétition avec tous ces Francais qui débarquent à Montreal. Et comme tu dis, ils ont des diplômes universitaires.

En effet, c'est plus sélectif et là encore ce ne sont que des emplois de pigistes dans la grande majorité des cas. Même les journalistes et chroniqueurs les plus populaires - à l'exception de Radio-Canada - sont des pigistes.
Pour la France je ne sais pas, mais le milieu de la télé au Québec est très petit (un rappel, nous ne sommes que 8 millions de population, soit l'équivalent de la Suisse, et il n'y a que 4 chaînes de télé principales francophones: Radio-Canada, TVA, V et Télé-Québec). Les autres chaînes sont des petites chaînes appartenant à des conglomérats (comme Astral Media).

Je ne crois pas, car tu n'auras pas intégré les notions en technologie des médias du programme de Jonquière. Un DEC, il faut faire tous les cours du programme pour avoir le diplôme, il n'y a pas de substitut. D'autant plus que je suis persuadée qu'en France vous n'avez pas de cours de littérature québécoise...!

Ce qu'il faut regarder, c'est les cours du programmes de DEC. Si tu peux prouver pour CHAQUE cours que tu as fait qu'il s'agit de l'équivalent en France, éventuellement on pourra te les créditer (donc pas besoin de les refaire).
Il faut comprendre que le Cégep est un système unique au monde. Il n'y a pas d'équivalent dans un autre pays!
Regarde la grille des cours du programmes de communication des médias (DEC):

et celle de gestion d'entreprise (un DEC aussi, j'ai pris celle du Vieux-Montréal):

Et ensuite, compare avec la grille de cours en France pour des programmes similaires...la plupart n'ont probablement pas l'équivalent. Il faut aussi regarder les objectif des cours.
Par exemple, un cours qui s'appelle ''marketing'' en France ne veut pas dire qu'il s'agit de la même chose que d'un cours qui s'appelle ''marketing'' dans un cégep au Québec...Même chose pour un cours qui s'appellerait ''droit des affaires'' en France vs Québec...Il ne faut pas se fier à l'intitulé du cours, ce n'est pas assez pour faire l'équivalence.

en théorie, comme tu l'expliques, oui...mais en pratique, je serais fort étonnée qu'un Cégep québécois crédite des cours à un Francais qui ne provient pas du même système...Au mieux, il pourra se voir créditer 1-2 cours (peut-être philo et comptabilité, et encore), peut-être 3, mais pas plus, et il ne pourra pas économiser 2 années quand même!! Faut pas pousser mémé...
Au niveau du cegep, on reconnais certains acquis aux étudiants "adultes", c'est à dire des gens qui sont allés sur le marché du travail X années, et qui souhaitent retourner sur les bancs d'écoles. Mais un étudiant qui n'est pas allé sur le marché du travail, et qu'en plus il vient d'un autre pays? Je serais très, très, très, très étonnée. Pas au niveau collégial!! Universitaire oui, mais pas au collégial!

Est ce que les stages jouent sur le fait qu'on puisse rester à Montreal après cette année ? Ou comme c'est un échange on ne pourra avoir aucun permis par la suite ?
Après la fin du stage il faut quitter le Canada et postuler pour un autre permis de travail ou la Residence permanente. Je t'invite à lire les autres discussions au sujet des formalités pour immigrer au Quebec 😉

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
