Hi there,

I’m looking for a group of camper van travelers to cross China in September 2025, from Kyrgyzstan to Laos via Lhasa (no visa required for Europeans if staying less than a month).

Hi there,

Um... You’ll definitely need a visa to visit China if your stay exceeds 15 days. It’s limited to 30 days. Unless things have changed since July 2024... A special permit for the Tibet Autonomous Region is also required, and as far as I know, you’ll need to register with an agency and have a guide.

Good luck...

Hi, According to "visa news," starting November 30, 2024, the visa-free stay in China will increase from 15 to 30 days. Additionally, a permit for Tibet is still required, as is a guide. Best regards,

I didn’t know this until today, and it’s great news since we’re planning to go back next fall. 30 days for us, but I’d love a few extra days... Sounds like an amazing project you’ve got there. I’ve only flown over the landscapes you’ll be driving through from Lhasa to Kunming. We also did some treks in Kyrgyzstan...

Have a great day

Thanks for the info. After Mexico, I think Tibet will also be a better destination.
