Je suis une étudiante de 20 ans et je pars en Septembre vivre un an en Equateur. Je vais travailler dans la province de Guayas avec une ONG. Je vais certainement être amenée à pas mal bouger dans la Province entre Tamarindo (dans le canton Santa Lucia) et Guayaquil, mais je vivrais très certainement dans un logement de l'ONG près de Tamarindo.
J'attends Septembre avec beaucoup d'impatience, mais je me pose pas mal de petites questions pratiques. En lisant des discussions sur ce forum ces derniers mois j'ai pu choisir ma destination et me faire une idée de là où je partais, donc je pense être au bon endroit pour continuer à chercher des informations. Si certains savent répondre à une ou plusieurs de mes questions, je vous remercie vraiment d'avance:
en ce qui concerne le visa, quel type de visa faut-il que je demande? étudiant, travail, échange culturel? Je ne serai pas inscrite à la Fac en Equateur, mais mon travail avec l'ONG ne sera pas non plus rémunéré...
quelqu'un saurait-il me dire si 150€ par mois me suffiront pour vivre, sachant que je n'aurai pas à payer le logement et la plupart de mes repas et déplacements seront pris en charge par l'ONG: j'aurai donc juste des dépenses personnelles (sorties, voyages, visites, autres petites dépenses quotidiennes éventuelles...)
Je peine à trouver des informations sur la province de Guayas: quelqu'un pourrait-il m'en dire plus? Je serai dans le canton Santa Lucia, c'est à dire el campo, mais j'aimerai aussi avoir des informations sur la Peninsula Santa Elena et bien évidemment Guayaquil.
Je suis assez au courant pour tout ce qui est précautions sécuritaires dans les grandes villes d'Amérique Latine, mais je reçois aussi pas mal de discours contradictoires. J'essaye de ne pas écouter les Européens qui me parlent de sécurité en Amérique Latine/Equateur sans y être jamais allé Est-ce que quelqu'un connaissant bien la région pourrait-il donc m'éclairer un peu sur le sujet?
Transports: j'ai beaucoup envie de voyager en Equateur et aussi au Pérou. Savez-vous si les voyages en bus sont recommandables? Mon premier souci est de faire des économies, donc je pense prendre des bus pour aller voir Quito, Cuenca, la Costa..., mais cela me semble par contre assez compliqué d'aller jusqu'à Lima en bus non? Par ailleurs, me déconseillez vous de faire ces trajets seule, ou est-ce qu'il n'y a aucun risque?
Enfin, si vous avez des impressions ou souvenirs particuliers que vous voulez partager avec moi, je serai plus que ravie de les lire.

concernant ton budget il me parait correct. Pour manger tu peux trouver dans les comedores des menus du jour à 2-3 dollars. les bus coutent généralement 1 dollar de l'heure: de guaya tu paieras 8 dollars pour aller à cuenca et dans les 14 pour aller à quito.
Si tu vas au pérou tu verras que la vie y est bien moins chère qu'en équateur.si tu veux dormir chez l'habitant va voir le site www.couchsurfing.com (en plus c'est gratuit)concernant la sécurité je n'ai jamais eu de problème, ceci dit mêmes les équatoriens se méfient comme la peste de la ville de guayaquil qui a l'air vraiment dangereuse.
Les voyages en bus ne sont pas risqués même pour une fille seule, mais il est toujours mieux de circuler de jour et de savoir ou tu vas en arrivant dans une ville inconnue.

Pour ce qui est de 150 euros par mois si tu es hébergée et que la plupart des repas et transports sont inclus, tu devrais très bien t'en sortir. Le salaire moyen en équateur est de 218 dollars américain par mois. Donc, aucun problème de ce coté :)
Pour les bus, ils sont sécuritaire, du moins pour les normes du pays hihi . Mais fait tout de même attention à tes trucs...garde ton sac sur toi, par prévention. Je ne connais pas le coin que tu vas visitées, mais si tu as des questions sur Quito ou bien Manta..je suis la! J'ai un ami qui vit à Manta mais il est originaire de Guayaquil donc si tu as des questions je peux toujours lui demander :) J'y serai de fin juillet jusqu'a la fin octobre :)

J'ai été en Equateur l'été dernier pour un travail dans une petite association locale à Guayaquil. Si tu veux des conseils pour cette ville tu peux compter sur moi.
Si tu peines à trouver des infos sur la province de Guayas c'est parce que c'est pas la région la plus touristique d'Equateur....il y pas grand chose à voir ou à connaitre pour les guides touristiques.....mais à mon sens rien que la population est intéressante à cotoyer, dans cette région j'ai rencontré des personnes qui connaissaient mieux que moi l'histoire de la France, les dates exactes, l'empire napoléonien et la chronologie de la Révolution Française avec perfection on m'a même sorti la hauteur de la Tour eiffel !!!!!
Concernant ton budget il est plus que parfait! Saches que lorsque j'étais à Guayaquil je n'ai pas dépensé plus de 120 dollards. J'étais comme toi hébergé, nourri et blanchie par une famille d'accueil formidable.
Dans le quartier où j'étais il y avait pas mal de stand où acheter de la mal bouffe mais ça me va très bien, c'est à base de 60 centimes pour un hamburger bien bourratif ou pour des "papas fritas con salchichas". J'allais au cyber une fois par semaine (50 centimes l'heure) et dans le petit resto du coin pour un repas à 1, 50$. Mais saches que j'étais en ville, à Guayaquil, donc si l'endroit où tu résidera est plus dans la campagne tu peux trouver des resto pour manger à 70/80 centimes!! Si t'as l'occasion de le faire, teste le petit déjeuner typique équatorien dans un resto; il faut demander "el desayuno completo"... tu vas être surprise!!
Ce qui te coutera le plus durant ta période là-bas c'est quand tu voudras visiter le pays. Moi j'avais deux semaines pour le faire, je devais acheter des cadeaux pour la famille et tout....ça m'a couté entre 400 et 450 euros. Les transports bouffent le budget surtout pour les longs trajets. Avec mes amies on avait évalué un peu le coût de nos déplacements lors de notre "périple de deux semaines" et nous avions fini par conclure que si nous avions plus de temps nous aurions pu faire des grosses économies niveau transport car nous n'aurions pas choisi de passer par certaines villes pour aller plus vite.
Profites bien de ce maginifique pays, un peu méconnu de la France mais les costeños sont super accueillants et moins distants que ceux des montagnes (sauf bien sûr les villes super touristiques des andes).
Enfin, les voyages en bus sont quand même assez sécurisés (pour les longs trajets il faut voyager de nuit) mais garde avec toi tes sacs, n'affiche pas des signes de richesses et je dirais que c'est toujours mieux de voyager au moins à deux quand on est européen......mais en même temps quand on est seule surtout quand on est une fille les gens vont plus facilement vous parler, vous demandez pourquoi vous êtes dans le bus, d'où vous venez etc.... les équatoriens adorent les français !!
Ce pays me manque énormément, j'y serais probablement courant mars 2010 mais c'est pas encore sûr.

La province de Guayas est l'une des plus chaudes du pays. Il fait toute l'année. Il peut faire jusqu'à 40 degré voire plus.....
L'année se divise en deux grandes périodes: la saison des pluies (de janvier à avril/mai) et la saison sèche (de mai à décembre). Il est sensé faire plus chaud durant la saison des pluies car c'est plus un climat tropical.
Oui Guayaquil à mauvaise réputation, nous avons rencontré nombre d'équatoriens qui nous prenaient pour des "survivor" car nous avons réussi à survivre à 1 mois et demi dans la ville. Comme partout il y a des coins où il ne faut pas s'aventurer...Quand tu visitera Guayaquil tu restera dans le centre-ville, le centre-ville est moderne, moins authentique, ça fait ville américaine...il y a quelques parc à visiter mais tout est du construit pour s'ouvrir au touriste. La ville Guayaquil veut absolument rattrapper son retard du point de vue touristique.....
Lorsque l'on est pas "local" on attire l'attention mais lorsque l'on est intégré à un environnement, à une population on risque de moins en moins de se faire agresser car au final tout le quartier, tout le village nous connait.
J'ai résidé un mois et demi dans l'un des quartiers les plus chauds de la ville, on a rien vu (juste entendu des histoire de vols et un tremblement de terre), on s'est pas fait agressé ni rien, peut-être un coup de chance ou peut-être ceux qui avaient des mauvaises intentions ont été stoppé par d'autres car ils nous connaissaient et savaient qu'on travaillait avec les enfants du quartier, on a été dans toutes les maisons du quartier, on a fêté des anniversaires dans tout le quartier, on a voulu nous vendre un bébé et une grand-mère !!! C'était super sécurisant justement parce que tout le monde nous connaissait!De plus la famille d'accueil nous conseillait et nous accompagnait au jour le jour, nous n'étions pas lâché dans la nature...
