Je m'appelle anthony, j ai 38 ans et je souhaite partir vivre en corse... C est une décision mûrement réfléchis car étant encore relativement "jeune" je souhaite quitter ma terre natale vendéenne. La raison la plus approché à mon départ est que je ne supporte plus les 0°c qui dure trop longtemps l'hiver.
j ai fais quelque recherche d emploi sur Bastia et Ajaccio et je me suis rendu compte que des offres correspondaient à ma demande ( je suis cuisinier en crêperie).
Par contre en ce qui concerne les logements, je trouve qu il n y en a pas beaucoup de disponible.
Je souhaiterais rentrer en contact avec des personnes vivant sur l’île afin de m’éclairer davantage sur certaines questions que je me pose.

Effectivement, tous les ans, on trouve des emplois saisonniers, ce qui pourrait correspondre à ton profil mais de là à toruver du travail à l'année, c'est denrée très rare (dans ton métier comme dans d'autres, sauf pour des postes très spécifiques - haute technologie par ex)... Il faut savoir que le taux de chômage est très élevé par rapport à d'autres régions françaises !
Pour ce qui est de la location, tu peux trouver des locations meublées mais que pour une année "scolaire" (septembre à mai/juin), les propriétaires souhaitent louer en été en location saisonnière !
Sans emploi (CDI) ni garant, il est très difficile de trouver, sans parler des montants des loyers !

Ma priorité est de trouver un "job" qui correspond le + à mon métier c est a dire cuisinier crêpier. Si c est une saison peut être que celle ci pourrait se transformer en cdi (il faut y croire) ou sinon comme je serais sur place étendre mes recherches autour de moi. en ce qui concerne les locations je pense qu une location saisonnière m irait très bien en attendant mieux et par la suite si mon "boulot" est stable trouver un logement dans mes critères. Mon projet est toujours aussi présent et personne ne pourra m empêcher d aller au bout !!!

Oui c'est là où c'est bien la différence ! Les vacances et la dure réalité d'une vie insulaire à l'année avec ce que cela représente - trouver du travail, un logement très cher et incertain, un repli obligatoire en hors-saison, ...
La vie en Corse à partir de novembre jusqu'à avril, est loin d'être évident... l'activité économique de base étant le tourisme, les campings, hôtels, restaurants, snacks, boutiques souvenirs & C° ferment....
La Corse entre en hibernage durant 5 mois min. Il ne se passe plus rien, la météo change également... de très fortes pluies, de la neige jusqu'en plaine... sans parler du vent d'est qui peut souffler durant des jours...
Pour pouvoir vivre en Corse à l'année, il faut avoir une activité professionnelle durable ou avoir des réserves pour tenir le coup... sans oublier un tissus relationnel permettant une vie sociale, ce qui n'est pas bien évident si on ne connait personne sur place...

Pour répondre à tes questions je ne suis jamais aller en corse il est vrai. Beaucoup de personnes de mon entourage y ont séjourné et j ai quelque connaissances qui font des saisons. A chaque fois que ces gens me parle de l’île ils me font rêver et voyager... j ai vu la beauté des paysages sur le net ou dans des reportages et là je suis tombé AMOUREUX !!!
C est comme ça... quand j ai une idée derrière la tête je ne l ais pas ailleurs...
Normalement je vais a Ajaccio fin septembre pour "tâter" le terrain par rapport à une éventuelle saison...

TU trouveras facilement des logements à partir de maintenant car les offres tombent toujours après la saison. Il faut bien épluché les annonces. Mais c'est beaucoup du scolaire septembre à juin. Si tu passes par une agence il y a un surcôut mais tu peux trouver à l'année.
Je te remercie de tes renseignements... en effet, j ai beaucoup regardé les annonces de logement et il est vrai que se sont des proprios qui loue des meublés pour "l'hiver" (si je peux appelé ça comme ça). en ce qui concerne les agences, bien sur que celles ci demandent au moins un cdi voir même un garant, mais ça je le savais car c est partout pareil. Maintenant, pour un "job", je pense me retourner davantage pour un emploi saisonnier qui eux ont une possibilité de logement sur place. a partir du moment ou je serais sur place je pourrais "prospecter" les locations et les autres offres d emplois.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
