Je suis jeune diplomée et je viens juste de signer un CDI avec une entreprise pharmaceutique a Genève. J'ai décidé de vivre en France après longue reflexion mais ce qui m'ennuie le plus c'est le temps de transport tous les jours jusqu'à mon travail (proche des organisations internationales OMC, OMM, ONU..et jardin botanique). Je voudrais discuter avec des gens qui vivent ou qui ont vécu a Ferney Voltaire ou a St Julien en genevois et qui travaillent à Genève (dans la même zone que moi ou ailleurs). Les questions que je me pose sont le suivantes:
Je vais travailler en voiture: Quel est le temps de trajet moyen aux heures de pointes entre St Julienet Genève (centre ou organisations internationales) et de même avec Ferney Voltaire ? (Une future collègue me dit qu'elle met 35 min aux heure de pointes pour aller de St Julien jusqu'au chemin des mines a Genève (prox jardin botanique) mais je crains que c'est sous estimé!)
Quel est l'état de la circulation sur ces deux axes? ralentissement, bouchons à la douane?
Je vais travailler en bus : Qualité du service pour les transports en commun? (bus frontalier F pour Ferney et bus D pour St Julien) les bus sont-ils bondés? temps de trajet décrit sur le site des tpg sont bien estimés et respectés ? horaire respectés le matin et le soir aux heures de pointes? fréquence de bus suffisante le matin, le soir, le soir aprés 20h?...bref toutes les impressions sur le service de bus que vous pourrez me donner!!! (et aussi si le bu subit le sbouchons et ralentissement sur le parcours ou a la douane ou y a t-il des " couloirs réservés au bus" sur une partie du trajet?)
Qualité de vie a Ferney Voltaire et/ ou St Julien: ambiance, commerces, facilités (routes, salle de sport, piscines, restaus, banques)
Pour Ferney: la proximité de l'aéroport n'est difficile à vivre ( niveau bruit?)

Je vais travailler en voiture: Quel est le temps de trajet moyen aux heures de pointes entre St Julienet Genève
35 minutes ton collègues est un optimiste au heures de pointe, tu peux déjà compter déjà à la douane 10 d'attente et 15 minute de queues sur l'autoroute de contournement plus le temps de trajet 15 minutes jusqu'à la sortie Grand-Saconnex puis pour descendre sur le quartier des organisations internationales une bonne 15 minute entre les feux et le trafique. ce qui te fais grosso modo un bon jour 45 minute minimum à 60 minute au heure de pointe depuis Saint Julien.
Depuis Ferney-Voltaire compte entre 20 et 35 minutes au heure de pointe en voiture, en vélo entre 20 minutes le matin, un peu plus le soir ça monte au retour, En bus niveau des horaires correcte fréquence au heure de pointe bonne et tu mettras entre 10 et 15 minutes service jusqu'à minuit environ, sinon l'été à pied 30 minute, une voisine le fais tous les matins et soir elle travaille à l'OMS.
En ce qui concerne la réputation des TPG n'ai aucune crainte, parc véhicule en superbe état, rarement plus de 5 minutes en retard, oui les bus circule en site propre(couloir de bus)
En ce qui concerne la qualité de vie je vais te parler de Ferney puisque j'y habite,
Ville d'environ 5000 habitants, je dirais si tu recherches le calme de la campagne et une infrastructure à taille humaine, c'est la ville qu'il te faut.
Le centre de Genève est à 10 à 15 minute en voiture en dehors des heures de pointes,
Niveau des commerces tu trouveras un Hyper Champion, un Hyper leclerc, un petit Champion, un lidl, un ED, Sartoriz Bio, un marché le samedi matin, des petits commerces d'habillement, 2 boulangeries, une fromagerie, des boucheries.
Restaurants, Tu as du restaurant Gastromique (Chanteclair, L'hôtel de France.) des type brasserie (restaurant de la truite) des pizzerias, chinois, indiens pakistanais.
Tu as au niveau des banques le CA, la SG, la banque postale, la Caisse d'épargne et le CIC et j'en oublie.
en ce qui concerne les nuisances de l'aéroport j'entends rarement les avions c'est pas CDG
pas de fitness à ferney mais une belle piscine avec un centre bien être, c'est une ville par contre qui n a pas beaucoup de vie nocturne, un PUB, par contre tu as une vie culturelle sympathique.
Je vais quand même te noircir le tableau, Ferney est une ville chère les loyers le coût de la vie.
Vu comme ça je me vois bien habiter a Ferney mais ce qui "m'inquiète" c'est qu'il y a un bus par heure à partir de 20h pour rentrer et c'est pas très pratique si tu veux faire une activité sur Genève le soir (sport, club quelconque ou sortir boire un verre!)! Toi tu prend le bus tous les matins pour aller bosser à Genève? c'est pas gonflant?
Sinon si tu veux aller faire un tour a Genève le samedi (j'ai vu que il n'y a pas beaucoup de bus), tu connais des parking pas trop cher et sympa ou se garer (j'ai entendu dire que se garer a Genève ça coute tres cher!)

En ce qui concerne les sorties sur Genève à partir de 20 heures tu descends en 10 minutes au centre ville (pas trafic) et trouve facilement a te parquer sans payer, sinon les parking souterrain du centre ville le soir ne sont pas trop chère le tarifs est dégressif.

Je suis un peu dans le même cas que Cojo sauf que je souhaite habiter dans le 74 et plus précisément à Saint Julien en Genevois. Cependant, je souhaiterais avoir quelques infos concernant les communes et écoles. J'ai trouvé quelques logements libres dans la commune de Thairy avec son école (Stael). Est-ce sympa par la-bas? Pas trop de problèmes? pourriez vous me recommander des endroits à Saint Julien à éviter...Merci d'avance de vos réponses.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
