Je prévois de venir vivre en Guinée prochainement et après avoir consulté différents sites et blogs, le pays ne semble pas très sur (attaques de voitures, aggressions, etc.).
J'aimerai donc vraiment savoir s'il y a, aujourd'hui un risque à s'expatrier en Guinée?
La situation est-elle réellement préoccupante ou s'agit il de cas isolés?
Ces "problèmes d'insécurités" sont-ils concentrés à certaines zones ou élargis à l'ensemble du pays?
Quelle est à ce jour la situation dans la région de la Guinée Maritime plus précisément, qui me concerne?
Est-il aujourd'hui dangereux de se déplacer seul en voiture dans cette région pays? et d'une façon générale dans le pays
Ces questions sont vraisemblablement ridicules pour quelqu'un vivant en Guinée, mais les informations sur le pays ne sont pas facilement accessibles, et pas toujours très rassurantes, à l'inverse des témoignages des expatriés largement positifs.C'est pourquoi je me dit que le plus simple est de demander directement aux personnes concernés... Les expatriés en Guinée!
Il y a quelques années j ai travaillé à Kissidougou, Guekedou, Macenta et Labbé .
En province je n ai jamais senti de danger mais suite à une incursion de rebelles Liberiens
vers Guekedou et Macenta il y avait eu des pbs et des tensions.
La population guinéenne est sympa et je me sentais bien parmi eux.
Sinon paysages agréables .
Conakry de jour ne pose pas de pbs.
de nuit il vaut mieux etre prudents sans tomber dans la parano.
Le gros PB ce sont les barrages routiers des flics : le matin ils sont bourrés et tentés de racketer sous le moindre pretexte.Les militaires gendarmes paraissent OK, pas de soucis avec eux.
Un bon conseil : connaitre nom des prefets et responsables police & gendarmerie.
Quand tu menaces d'aller les voir pour te plaindre, les flics se calment et te laissent partir.
Une fois que tu es connu, celà s'arrange.
Autre soucis en brousse : coupures de courant, ravitaillement des pompes à essence aléatoire
donc reservoirs à sec ou groupes electrogénes arretes.
Et Palu bien present, avec du Lariam je n ai eu aucun soucis, mais les gars de la Sotelgui
avaient souvent des crises.
Veux tu voir, vivre ce que tu n'as jamais vu ailleurs?
Tu seras le bienvenu dans le royaume de la salete, de corruption, de "rakette"... malgre tout, nous vivions ici et les expats viennent et repartent avec de beaux souvenirs.

La Guinée est un pays un peu spécial ! Les risques d'agressions sur la route concernent presque uniquement les taxis brousses arrivants à Conakry car ils sont remplis de commercants de l'intérieur du pays qui viennent acheter des denrées à la capitale et donc plein d'argent. Cela dit même ces cas d'agressions sont en diminution.
Pour le reste et d'une manière générale, il est déconseillé pour un blanc de conduire un véhicule. Il faut savoir qu'il y a 3 niveau de gravité d'accidents de la route :
accident bénin ; le véhicule est conduit par un guinéen
accident moyen ; le véhicule est conduit par un guinéen avec un blanc à coté
accident grave ; le véhicule est conduit par un blanc
Par ailleurs, à moins d'avoir une bonne expérience de la conduite en pays d'Afrique, d'Asie et/ou d'Amérique Latine, l'état des routes ou des pistes, des véhicules et des conducteurs ne permet pas de s'improviser chauffeur.
Pour le reste la vie est facile si l'on ne cherche pas d'histoire avec les mecs ou avec les filles !!!

Je suis en guinée (conakry) depuis un an, je conduis, ma femme conduit, je croise desblancs et blanches qui conduisent...
Le prix d'un chaffeur au mois est tellement modique que beaucoups preferent se faire conduire, c'est tout. Sinon, la circulation est merdique du fait d'embouteillage monstres (une heures pour aller de Ratoma au centre ville, soit une 20 taine de KM...
Les flics ne sont que des mendiants, qui rackettent sans argne et vous laisse tranquille ensuite pendant une semaine, un mois selon ce que vous aurez donné (une misére en géneral) et le sourire (forcé) que vous aurez laissé...
C'esyt un pays désoeuvré, mais hors de cky, c'est super. J'ai fait Cky bamako en Novembre, seul dans mon vehicule: un seul controle et comme j'etais en regle, pas de fric donné...
Il faut être prudent (soir) mais pas de parano!
Je n'ai jamais paniqué et je ne panique pas après plus de 10 ans en Guinée. Mais la réalité est ce qu'elle est !
En dehors du fait que prendre un chauffeur permet de faire vivre une famille guinéenne, de redonner un peu de respect et de dignité à un homme et cela comme vous le dites, pour une somme modique, les risques de conduire son propre véhicule sont bien réels ! Il semble que vous n'ayez jamais eu de pépins, tant mieux pour vous et je ne vous en souhaite pas, mais sachez que d'autres en ont eu, comme un ami français qui après plus de 20 ans en Guinée a eu la malchance un jour ou son chauffeur était malade d'avoir un petit accident suite à un incident technique. Résultat 15 jours en prison dans des conditions que vous n'imaginez même pas avec votre petite expérience du pays et il a fallu l'intervention de l'Ambassade et d'un groupe d'amis pour le sortir de là plus bien sur beaucoup d'argent. Alors il ne faut pas minimiser les risques sans pour autant devenir parano !
Quand à la conduite, encore tant mieux pour vous si vous vous sentez à l'aise en dehors de Conakry, mais au delà des pièges de la route ou de la piste, de l'incompétence des conducteurs qui viennent en face de vous au volant d'un 10 tonnes, que ferez vous si vous tomber en panne au milieu de la brousse ? A moins que vous ne parliez Soussou, Peulh, Malinké et Guerzé ?
Voila pourquoi je confirme qu'il est fortement déconseillé de conduire son véhicule en Guinée !
Bof, c'est un point de vue...notre ami se fera une idée selon sa sensibilité et son expérience...
Mais voyager sans connaitre la langue des contrées visitées n'a jamais été un problème, même en cas de panne. L'essentiel étant de trouver un mécanicien performant plutôt que polyglotte.😉

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
