Hi everyone, I really enjoy traveling by boat, and I usually book directly with the cruise line. At the same time, I get a lot of ads for Croisières.fr, which, as a middleman, offers me the same cruises as the cruise lines themselves. I’d love to know if any of you have booked through them before and if everything went smoothly? Thanks!

Hello, We’ve never booked with "Croisières.fr" before. That said, we can still give you a few friendly tips. Head to their website and check the general terms and conditions, especially the cancellation fees if you decide to cancel, and compare them with the cruise line you usually book with. Another important point: where is their head office located? Is it in France or abroad? The laws aren’t the same. In my opinion, it’s better to deal with an agency whose head office is in France. Hope this helps a little with your question. Have a great day! Mum49

I agree with the great advice given earlier—this is an agency that’s part of the CRUISELINE group and should **absolutely be avoided**. Their cancellation fees are outrageous, not just for their own agency but they also artificially inflate the fees charged by the cruise companies. They’re based in Monaco, so any legal recourse is extremely complicated if you run into issues! !

Hi! The advantage of going through a middleman is getting attractive prices. How does croisieres.fr manage to offer good rates? The company buys trips in bulk, which allows them to lower the price per unit. The downside is when it comes to getting a refund if there are any issues—people who’ve used them before have mentioned that. So it’s up to you to decide whether you want to take the risk or prefer the security of a direct purchase.

Alright, thanks everyone! It’s fair, and I didn’t bother going to that trouble myself.

Got it, I see what you mean!! Thanks for your reply... I think I'll keep booking directly with the companies I know well.

Okay, thanks to you all. It was just out of curiosity—I think I’ll take the steps to stop getting their letters.

Hi,

When booking through a cruise line, you get the advantage of slightly cheaper rates. I book through Croisiland (advisor Chloé) and have done more than 15 cruises with them. No issues, but I’ve never had to cancel a cruise.

Best regards

Hi there, However, there are some reputable agencies where you can find great deals. CROISILAND has reasonable terms and conditions, same goes for LOGITRAVEL ;)
