Et par la suite visité en Malaisie j hésite entre 10jours et 15jours.

La vie a Singapour est cher, mais pas en malaisie , tu peu dormir pour 4 euro et mangé pour 1 euro, 15 c'est cour ...
Mais tu peu fair malaka, kuala lumpur pour le shopping cameron highland et pulo tioman mais ca va allé vite. Si non limite toi a malaka KL et tioman.

Il y a un treain qui part de la cote est (kota baru) jusqu'a KL , c'est le train de la jungle , magnifique mais long .....
Si non il y a un avion avec air asia qui part de langkawi juska KL (je croi kil part aussi de Bangkok jusqu'a KL avec ais asia tres peu cher ), les iles lan, gkawi sont tres belle aussi.

Oui le plus simple est l'avion mais vous loupé les magnifique paysage du jungle train, mais bon je comprend qu'en 12 jour on fai o plus pratique.
Sur les perenthiane il n'y a pas grand chose a visiter , les balade entre chaque plage sont tracé et quelque fois betonné , elles sont quand meme pas vilaine mais il y a largement plus jolie en malaisie niveau paysage, le snorkeling est sympa car j'ai vue des requins des tortue des rais .... mais c la foule dans l'eau a certain endroit et c CON... envoie de la bouff pour attirer les poissons.
Il y a tout les prix , de 40RYM a 250RYM la nuit celon les plages et celon le "standing" des chambres, pers je suis allé a MYRA beach une des plus isolé ... apres il y a des plage pour fair la fiesta h24 si vous voulé , il y a de tout..
N'hesite pas si tu a d'autre question ( on peu ce tutoyer ...)

On a décidé allée au Perhantien est ce que vous pensez quand 10 jours on peut faire 5 jours Perhantien et 5 jours Tioman?
On a réservé nos vol pour Singapour -Kuala Lumpur(90euros pas personnes).
Par contre on ne peut pas ce permettre de faire Kuala-Lumpur -Kota Bharu en avion vu les prix excessif notre petit budget ne nous le permet pas j ai cru entendre qu il y avais un Train de nuit seriez vous combien il coute? Combien d heures de trajet?
Est ce qu’ il y a un bus? Et pareils combien coute t il? Combien d heure de trajets?
Est qu elle est le moyen le plus simple pour ce rendre de Perhantien a Tioman ?

Regarde sur Air asia je vien de fair une simulation pour le 3 juin , j'ai trouvé les billets a 30 euro KL singapour.
Perso je ne ferai pas les deux en seulement 10 jour vous allé passé votre temps dans les transport, le tran de nuit est pas cher du tout mais un peu long. A partir de jerantu c le jungle train jusqu'a kota baru , c tres simpa.Compter 1 jour de voyage si ce n'est 1,5 jour pour KL Perenthiane. De plus attention une fois a kota baru il faut allé a kuala besut pour prendre le bateau pour l ile (1h de route+30min de bateau).
De perenthiane a tioman je croi qu'il y a un bus avec 1 changement mais pas sur je ne lai pas pris.
O pire malacca est joli a visité et apres parté sur tioman, ca vous fai 2 jour a malacca et apres vous parté sur tioman il y a que 5h de bus....

Au final je fais tous en avion avec air asia je m en sors pour 95 euros allée retour.

De rien . Moi je suis allé a MIRA beach , plage isolé magnifique avec une plage casi privée car tres peu de monde, les chambre son simple et rustique mais le cadre est magnifique. Apres nous somme passé a mamas chalet, tres simpa mais moin calme avec un peu de fiesta le soir et pour les grosse fiesta il faut passé de lautrree cote de l'ile ( 15-20min de marche), pour arrivé sur la cote d'azurrrrr...lol.
Appel si tu veu etre sur mais tu trouvera chez les autre o pire ils sont equivalant.

Tout en bois , un lit seul au milieu de la piece avec deux table de nuits , tout en bois , mais de tres belle terace avec une vue imprenable celon les "chalets".O pire quand tu arrive le bateau passe par a peu pres toutes les plage en fesant le tour arret toi des que tu le sent , apres tu peu tj prendre un bateau pour allé ayeur .

Sur MIRA c'est 40 ou 50 RYM la nuit et l'autre c pareil, les prix des petite chambre seul avec douche ou pas sont dans c ordre la de partout.

Tu n'est pas obligé de reserver mais tu n'aura peu etre pas le choix partout mais tu aura tj un toit.
Pour les perentiane, Long beach est pas mal le soir pour fair la fete et tu peu allé dormir a Mama's beach le soir au calme c a 5 min a pied par la foret.
Je ne connai pas ton parcour mais si tu arrive a Kuala ou compte repartir de Kuala il vaut mieux repartir de Kota baru car lavion est pas chere et rapide.

En gros nous arrivons à Kuala Lumpur le 27 mai à 5h du mat on part direction le Taman Negara en bus puis en pirogue(penses tu que nous pourrions y arriver avant 17h) 3jours sur place (2jours suffisent t’ils) ensuite départ en train pour kota bharu à travers la jungle puis direction les perhentians 3 jours sur place retour kota bharu pour un vol direction Singapour avec escale à Kuala Lumpur (escale= économie) une apres midi une nuit et une mâtiné sur Singapour puis direction Tioman en avion ( avion = gain de temps 17 jours c’est court) 5 nuits sur place ensuite direction kualalumpur pour terminer notre voyage (as-tu des bon plan festif sur kuala) !!! Qu’en penses-tu ?? Je sais que l’on a chargé un peu quand je vois le parcours des autres personnes !!! As-tu des bons plans hébergement ? Es que les plongées sont chères ??? tout conseilles sont les bienvenus !!! merci d’avance

_ Pour le transfert kuala taman, si tout ce combine bien je pense ke oui c faisable, attention tu ne fais pas 100km en 1h en malaisie.La pirogue est sympa mais bondé pour arrivé au taman.
_2 ou 3j au taman tout depand ce ke vous aimez, il y a la marche sur la canopé, nuit en grotte nuit en hutte surélevé pour voir les animaux, nuit dans un "village" aborigéne, rando dans la jungle ..... fair attention avec ki tu part , ki tu paye, ki il emboche et comment il les payent. Il y a de tout, avec tous les touriste plein de frik ki ce croi au Zoo, certaine sorti resemble plus a du spectacle ka une excurtion.
_ Le train de la jungle est magnifique, par contre bien ce renseigner pour les horair car pers les connai vraiment au Taman.
_Ne pas oublié kil y a encors une heure de taxi ou bus entre kota berhut pour prendre le bateau pour l'ile, et il sarrete la nuit.
_Personellement je zaperé singapour, trop cour pour visiter, je passerai plus de temps a kuala si tu veu des grandes villes. Ou alors sarrété au cameron island entre le taman et kota berut, plantation de thé magnifique.
_Tioman, faite la rando entre la cote est et ouest elle est sympa.
_ pour la plongée c'est le mm prix sur tioman et perntiane si tu negoci bien, jai pas pu plongé a tioman car trop de vague, mais sur perentiane je me suis regalé, rai, requin, tortue .... magnifique.
_ Niveau hebergement sur tioman juste avant monkey beach ya des chalets super, et au perhentianne jété allé chez Mama's chalet je crois.
_ pour les avion oui c resonable, tu peu tj trouvé moins cher mais c des coup de poker ....

Car ca me rappel mes premier voyage ou je voulais tout voir tout fair en un minimum de temps.Pense bien ka chaq fois les aeroport ne sont pas dans les centre villes kil fau arrivé 1h en avance .... arrivé en ville fo trouvé l'hotel, changé si il convient pas a madame ....LOL, tout prend plus de temps que ce ke lon avai prevu a la base et oubliant les imprevue bien sur. Tu risk de passé bocou de temps dans les bus et aeroport.
Appart ca regale toi, et n'hésite pas a changé t plant en cour de route, c les plus belle aventure ....

Moi je suis allée en Malaisie 15 jours, et lorsqu'on veut voir plein de choses c'est déjà trop court. Je te conseille en effet Malaca mais aussi Taman Negara et les Iles Perhentians (Kecil est la plus sauvage des 2). J'ai pas d'avis sur Tioman je n'y suis pas allée mais il parait que c'est très beau aussi.
Toi t'as pas du aller sur Kecil dans les Perhentians parce que franchement là-bas j'ai rien vu de bétonné, tu dois traverser la jungle pour passer de coral beach à long beach et c'est plutôt très tranquille, pas du tout la fiesta toute la nuit. En plus selon l'époque de l'année c'est pas du tout la foule. Comme quoi, les avis divergent Moi j'ai trouvé cette petite île très agréables pour 3 jours.Tu vas là-bas pour plonger ou faire du snorkling et te reposer. Mais c'est très peu développé.

Moi j étais sur les iles Perhentian au mama chalet j ai trouvé sa top pour ce reposé mais le soir c'est très calme donc c'est idéal pour ce reposé mais si vous cherché de l'ambiance c'est pas la que vous en trouverez

De rien pour les conseils apres comme tu a pu le lire plus haut peu etre que selon la saison les choses sont peu etre un peu differentes (je te rassur jy suis bien allé ...🙂) j'ai fai que 1 mois et demi en malaisie, j'y ai pas passé ma vie donc ce n'est qu'un appercu. A l'epoque ou ji été il ce vendé de lalcool tous les dix metre sur long beach. Petite precision pour tioman, les "singopouriens" debarquent le weekend pour fair la fete, donc les places d'hotels ce font plus rares.
Bien sur que tu peu me poser des questions si tu a besoins, ne t'inquiéte pas jai u pire que toi un certain ALANOU qui ma arcelé ..... MDR 😉.

A Taman Negara tu peux trouver un guide direct sur place au bureau du parc je pense et pour les payer c'est en fonction de ce que tu choisis (rando journée, nuit dans la jungle etc), tu dois payer à l'excursion je pense. Pour le sac, je sais pas trop mais je pense que c'est à toi de voir si tu cases ton sac quelque part (chambre pas chère par exemple) et ne prends que l'essentiel pour le trip ou si tu te trimballes tout.

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:
- Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We’re heading to Vietnam as a family on July 8th for a little over 3 weeks (north and center). We’ve only booked the first 3 nights in Hanoi, and nothing else after that. We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. What do the experts here think? And which website can we use to book the tickets? Thanks in advance for your tips!

After Angkor, I’ve booked a stay on Ko Chang island. Does anyone know if there are direct transport options from Cambodia to Ko Chang without having to go back through Bangkok? That would be amazing!!

No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??

From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄).
Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM.
