Accommodation
For accommodation, the archipelago offers homestays (including if you just want to pitch a tent) and small hotels on the islands of Isabela, San Cristobal, Floreana, and Santa Cruz (especially in Puerto Ayora). Of all these, Santa Cruz has the most capacity. Budget around $20 for a double room at the lower end. In peak season (July-August or Christmas), it may be useful to book ahead. Also note that many cruises include nights on board in their rates, which can be a good solution for both accommodation and savings.
Food
No problem finding food—you can find small eateries and eat for around $4 or $5. It’s also worth noting that many cruises include meals in their rates.
