Flying to Agadir
Location Map of Agadir
Agadir-Al Massira Airport
Agadir Airport is the country's third busiest by traffic, behind those of Casablanca and Marrakech. It offers all the facilities and services (currency exchange and more) of major airports. As a holiday destination, Agadir benefits from numerous seasonal or charter flights from France as well as the rest of Europe, including Eastern Europe. Its maximum capacity is 3 million passengers per year.

Services
Agadir offers the main facilities and services of major airports. In addition to the usual shops, bars, and restaurants, you’ll find several currency exchange offices (both landside and airside), a post office open from 9:30 AM, public telephones, and a paid Wi-Fi service by credit card or vouchers sold at the airport. Around a dozen car rental companies are also on-site.

Transport to the city centre
Public transport
There’s a private minibus shuttle that connects the airport directly to central Agadir and some major hotels roughly every 30 minutes. Alternatively, public bus No. 37 from the Alsa network runs to the nearby town of Inezgan (15 km away), where other buses (lines 6, 11, and 96) continue to central Agadir. It departs from outside the airport roughly every 45 minutes. The total cost for the journey from the airport to Agadir is less than 1 €.
Note that Inezgane hosts Agadir’s main bus station (about 10 km away), where you can easily find buses to Marrakech, Casablanca, and other cities. The bus or shared taxi ride between Inezgane and central Agadir costs just a few dirhams.
Taxis
Taxis are available 24/7 at the Arrivals hall. Expect to pay around 200 MAD (just under 20 €) to or from the city centre during the day, with a 50% surcharge for night fares. Fares are normally displayed at the airport exit. The journey takes about 20–30 minutes via the expressway to the city centre.
Other nearby airports
Essaouira (175 km) and Marrakech (275 km) are the two other airports in the region. Naturally, the latter is the best alternative to Agadir.
Airlines and destinations
Agadir is served by around forty airlines, though many routes are charter or seasonal. Over 90% of direct destinations are in Europe, with the rest in Morocco or the Canary Islands. For any other destination, a connection via Europe or Casablanca (Royal Air Maroc’s hub) is required.
Domestic
Around half a dozen Moroccan cities are directly connected to Agadir, primarily Casablanca, which offers multiple Royal Air Maroc connections to European and other countries. The Agadir-Casablanca route has long been Morocco’s busiest domestic air link, with around 400,000 passengers per year.

Choosing your flight
From France
- Price range: 150 €–400.
- Flight duration (direct): 3 to 4 hours.
There’s plenty of choice from France, especially in season when the city is well-served for holidays. At this time, depending on where you live, it may be worth checking what’s available from your nearest airport as well as neighbouring cities. Note that Marrakech isn’t far from Agadir and has more year-round flight options.
Prices are generally similar and vary more by season or flight type (scheduled, low-cost, charter). In general, budget airlines often offer great deals.
From elsewhere
Belgium and Switzerland
Same as for France.
Quebec
Generally, you’ll need to connect via Casablanca (Royal Air Maroc’s base with flights to Montreal) or France before continuing to Agadir.
