Getting to Agadir by Land or Sea

Agadir is easily accessible by road, particularly via the A7 motorway linking Casablanca to Agadir via Marrakech. Though toll-based, it offers significant time savings. For example, Casablanca is about 4 hours 30 minutes from Agadir, and Marrakech is around 2 hours 30 minutes away. Other routes to and from Agadir are naturally busier, with longer travel times.

By Bus

While Agadir is well served by buses, they generally arrive in the southeastern suburb of Inezgane. This large town, about a dozen kilometres from Agadir, is accessible for a few dirhams by urban buses (lines 6, 11, and 96) or shared taxis. It serves as the region’s main transport hub. A secondary bus station also exists in Agadir on Boulevard Mohamed Cheikh Saâdi.

Main Routes

Beyond shared taxis, several operators provide bus services from Agadir. Among them, CTM and Supratours (a subsidiary of ONCF) are the most well-known, offering extensive networks and comfortable buses.

Casablanca: numerous daily departures, around 7 to 8 hours of travel, and 200 Dh (approx. 18 €).

Essaouira: 3 hours 30 minutes of travel and 50/60 Dh (approx. 5 €).

Marrakech: very frequent daily departures, about 4 hours of travel, and around 100 Dh (approx. 9 €).

Ouarzazate: roughly 7 hours and 150 Dh (approx. 13 €) for a few day or night buses between the two cities.

Taroudant: 1 hour 30 minutes and around 40 Dh (approx. 3.5 €).

Tiznit: same as for Taroudant.

By Shared Taxis

Shared taxis are located next to the bus station and only depart when full. They serve nearby towns as well as Marrakech, Essaouira, and Taroudant.

By Train

Although a high-speed rail line is planned along the Tangier-Casablanca-Marrakech-Agadir route, trains do not yet reach Agadir. The nearest station is in Marrakech.
