Getting to Lanzarote

By sea

To/from mainland Spain

While the Canary Islands have no connections with neighbouring Morocco, there are ferry routes to "mainland Spain". Ferries depart from Cádiz with the company Transmediterranea to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Arrecife. The weekly service takes between 30 and 40 hours, depending on the island, and costs at least 150 € per trip for foot passengers.

To/from the other islands in the archipelago

Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife are served by internal ferry routes with companies such as Fred Olsen, Naviera Armas and Trasmediterranea.

By air

The third busiest airport in terms of traffic, with almost 6 million passengers per year, Arrecife Airport also handles charter, seasonal, low-cost and scheduled flights. Most of its passengers arrive from the United Kingdom, Germany, Scandinavia and mainland Spain. Domestically, Gran Canaria (Binter/Naysa and CanaryFly) and Tenerife North (Binter/Naysa) are connected to Lanzarote.
