On the homepage, the 🟢 marks in front of each section title—which indicate one or more new discussion(s)—stay green instead of turning neutral O when there are no new topics... or becoming neutral when all messages are marked as read.
You’re also colorblind, huh? 😄

Good evening,
They’re green even without logging in, so I think they’ve lost their indicative value. In my opinion, it’s related to the new look and the change from blue.

hi there, still the same bug for me.
For example, I go to the new discussions section, and I always end up back on the topic I previously viewed.
So far, the only solution I've found—and it doesn’t even work all the time—is to log out of VF, turn off my computer, and come back later.
Best regards!!!
Christine
Hi there,
What you're describing doesn't seem to have much to do with VF; the issue is likely with your browser's cache management. You might want to try switching browsers or using private browsing mode.

Hi, I'll try that, but I think it's more about my old usernames here that I can't delete. I haven't reported this issue about the bugs, but I think someone else had the same problem where they get stuck on a previously read topic and can't access others.

Delete them from what, from where? On your end, like saved profiles in a browser? On VF?

Here on VF, I’ve got at least 5 old ones from the time I was banned every two days 😂

It's related to the link in the email. That's where the bug originates. We're still working on it, but it's tricky because we need to be able to reproduce the bug, and the developers aren’t seeing it on their end.

It's impossible because those were random email accounts I no longer have, and I also don't have access to the passwords for each profile. It's no big deal if they stay on the site, since you explained in the other message where the bug came from (links in the current emails). Best regards!!!

Hi everyone,
I get the feeling that the map accessible via the country guide isn't working anymore... (there's a bug in the JavaScript: "map.resize is not a function").
It's a shame—it was super handy for quickly looking up the main activities in a region.
Are you aware of the bug? é

Just to add a bit more detail—it’s actually a bug that only happens when you’re not logged in! Because the map now works since I logged in.
Hope that helps.

Several of us have noticed that when we open messages, we can see the handwritten content right away, but the photos don’t appear. The wheel keeps spinning as if it’s loading, but nothing shows up.
It’s random—happens about one out of three times for me.

I’ve started my travel journal for our trip to Peru, and luckily I’m not running into this issue.
It flares up and then comes back, it's made of tiny little things...
Yesterday it wasn't working, today I was able to start my latest travel journal.

Hi there,
Yesterday, February 21, 26, I had to try about "thirty times" to post a message with 10 images in my personal travel journal. I reported the issue. It was a Saturday morning. And this morning—February 22—I noticed while posting again (with 10 more images) that everything is working normally now.
So, sincerely, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who worked on fixing this issue.
Cheers. Have a great Sunday. Puma2A

Hi there,
Same here—it’s so frustrating when you spend time writing a post, proofreading, correcting, uploading photos, and then it crashes right when you hit send. 🏴☠️

Hi there,
Up until now, I’d never had any issues, but this afternoon I ran into a ton of problems trying to upload photos to my Tunisia travel journal. I had to start over several times.
I think this kind of problem must be putting a lot of people off.

Today, the site crashed several times. It's really frustrating when you've uploaded a dozen photos, saved the text, and done the formatting. Everything is lost, and you have to start all over again. 🏴☠️
Hi there,
I’ve been working on my travel journal for several days now and I’ve run into the same issues over and over again.
To avoid starting all over, I draft a post that’ll include no more than 5 photos. I copy and paste the text from my draft, then click "send my reply" to make sure I don’t lose it. After that, I use the "edit my post" function to add one photo, hit "send," and repeat the process until all 5 images are uploaded. Then I prepare a new post for the next 5 images, doing the same thing... and so on. This is just my method and suggestion—nothing more! Hang in there, and be patient.
Cheers, Puma2A

Hi there,
I do pretty much the same thing, in small chunks.
I had photos to add to posts I’d already published. At first, I’d upload the 10 photos allowed per message, but when I tried to send it, it would crash. So I changed my approach: I now upload just three or four photos at a time and send the updates. It’s less of a pain than starting over with ten photos if there’s a bug.
But it’s still "annoying" and tedious, and I think it might even be pretty off-putting for some people.
Luckily, with travel journals, you can edit the text and photos as much as you want, even days later—there’s no time limit like there is for other posts.

Hi Alain,
Yeah, I copy-paste too. I’ve had my text written for ages. I take notes while traveling and rewrite it all when I get back.
This afternoon, I finally did like you—I uploaded a few photos and tweaked them by adding others. But I think this way of doing things might put off quite a few people.

Every now and then, when I click on a photo in a travel journal to enlarge it, it doesn’t work—instead, a new tab opens with an ad from one of VoyageForum’s advertisers...

There, it's reported.
We’ve been reporting it for a while, but if they can’t figure out where it’s coming from, it’s going to end up discouraging people from keeping travel journals.

What’s surprising is that Voyage Forum is part of the same group as Myatlas, and on Myatlas, there’s no problem at all.

That’s not really comparable—the two sites work differently. VF seems more complex, and apparently none of the devs know their way around it as well as the late François did :/

Hi Kate,
You’ve summed it up perfectly. VF was coded and patched together by François using a language that’s no longer in use today.
We’ve got two new developers working on it now—fingers crossed!
As for booking, that’s normal.
