So, I think there was still a lot of moderation and post deletions in the CFC fan group. Especially regarding complaints about the previous cruise. It was even featured on BFM TV.

Hi Nathalie, Isa, Poupou,

So we went on the Tulip Cruise from 04/11/26 to 04/16/26. The heated pool, I tested it myself—it’s true that, like in all municipal pools, there’s a difference between body temperature (average 37°C) and the pool’s temperature. In the middle of the pool, on both sides, there’s a warm inlet. I took less time to get into this pool than a municipal one. The outdoor pool was empty. Boarding: The entrance to the parking lot for dropping off luggage and passengers is on the side of the Model Pavilion entrance, requiring you to drive the wrong way into the parking lot... My daughter and I wisely went around the roundabout to access the parking lot from the other side without breaking the rules, only to find ourselves facing the exit—definitely a "Devos"-style sketch. We parked our vehicles where indicated, and security staff checked parking reservations. Some people hadn’t dropped off their luggage beforehand, which earned them a remark from the shuttle driver since there’s not much space in the trunk—it’s just a shuttle for a max of 18 people. The waiting room for boarding was very small, and seats were quickly taken. Luggage drop-off was fast, and there was plenty of staff for boarding formalities. The BIG BLACK MARK: elevators at the back of the ship: Only 2 out of 4 were working, sometimes just 1 out of 4... We ourselves had to report several times that one of the two elevators was stuck on a floor. One morning, I waited 10 minutes on Deck 4 to go up to Deck 11 for breakfast. I left my husband (who has reduced mobility) waiting for a spot in the only working elevator at the back so he could go eat, while I climbed the 7 flights of stairs. I arrived at the buffet completely exhausted (I’m 75). My husband spoke to a crew member with stripes on their sweater and told them what he thought about the elevators always breaking down since last year... The elevator started working again shortly after. The onboard staff were always welcoming, smiling, and friendly. Shows: We attended a few performances: the violinist was EXCELLENT, the dance troupe was GREAT, but the singers lacked a bit of "power." Food was varied, and there was plenty of choice. Excursions were a bit of a "mess" in terms of organization on the first day—no clear entry or exit direction in the theater, and some people ended up without a tag to leave because they were waiting patiently inside (there was no information meeting like there usually is). We only did two excursions: the driver-guides were great, but the cost was very high. The mandatory safety drill: For our station (No. 12), another sketch... Even though we’d scanned our cards, the staff member checking us off took the liberty of calling us by our LAST NAME and ALL our FIRST NAMES afterward to "verify" we were there... In total, it took over 30 minutes, with our life jackets on the whole time, whereas on MSC-COSTA, they gather everyone in the theater and show a video. Disembarkation: Well organized, with buses for those heading to the train station. Individual disembarkation with luggage was possible, but dragging suitcases to the terminal when buses and shuttles were available to retrieve vehicles was a hassle.

That’s our feedback. We’re traveling with CFC again in June, but this time in a balcony cabin since on Deck 4 at the back, we were often woken up by maneuvers in the ports—it was rocking all over the place, plus the noise. Mum49-Magguy.

Hi Mum, Thanks for this report. I didn’t quite get this sentence: "individual disembarkation with your luggage is possible, but hauling your suitcases to the terminal." Does that mean we can put our luggage in the bus’s hold for the ride from the ship to the Model Pavilion? Best regards

Hi Micax,

I’ve just updated the disembarkation sheet for Dunkirk. 3 options: Option 1- Independent disembarkation – transfer to Dunkirk train station – Registration required. You can leave the ship on your own, carrying all your luggage. A bus will take you directly to the station. Option 2 – Independent disembarkation – transfer to the Scale Model Pavilion – Registration required. You can leave the ship on your own, carrying your luggage. A bus will take you to the Scale Model Pavilion. Option 3- Baggage assistance – transfer to the Scale Model Pavilion – No registration required. For this option, you’ll need to leave your luggage outside your cabin door the night before departure by 11 PM, with the colored tag provided in your cabin. In this case, you’ll be taken to the Scale Model Pavilion where you can collect your luggage. Please note that this transfer does not serve the train station. We chose Option 3, and disembarkation was prioritized from Deck 10 down to Deck 4. For us on Deck 4, it was scheduled around 10:15 AM. The first passengers disembarked around 8:00–8:30 AM. Hope this helps. Have a great day! MUM49

Hi Mum

Thanks for the reply.

On my last CFC cruise, there were only Option 3 and Option 1 with just one bus at 8:00 AM. Do you know if for Option 2 (which requires signing up) there were multiple buses and departure times?

Best regards

We received the disembarkation details yesterday, and there are several time slots for each item

Good evening Micax, Since I took option 3, I don’t know if there were several buses for the other options. Have a great evening! Mum49

Hello Nathalie, Isa, Poupou,

Hi MAGGUY, tolerance to cold water obviously varies from person to person. Right now, I’m in Corsica—the sea is at 19°C, freezing for me, yet some people are swimming in it! The public pools I go to are much better heated than on the CFC. I get in without any problem—we actually went the day before yesterday. The large pool is heated to 28°C, and the small one to 32°C. Those temperatures are far from what we had on the CFC, and yet the pool isn’t very big. We agree that the outdoor pool is even colder. The jacuzzis were also insufficiently heated. Did you notice the bubble malfunction on one side?

Anyway, I’m glad it worked for you. Have a great day! 😉

Hi Isa,

Didn’t use the hot tubs because I think they’re germ magnets. Our son-in-law and grandson used them a few times—the bubbles were working and the water was hot. The outdoor pool was empty. Lovely day! Magguy/Mum49
