Hi, we’ll be 2 adults and 2 kids, and I’d like to know if, from Bangkok airport, we can find a taxi—or through the Grab app—to make the trip to Ban Phe, then on to Koh Samet, without getting ripped off. Thanks for your help. Stéphanie

Hi, You can also try the inDrive app in Thailand—it’s cheaper than Grab, and you can choose your driver with a photo. First, check the price on Grab, then go back to inDrive to see their rate. It’s often cheaper. Otherwise, via Booking, count on 110 € for 4 people in a minivan. inDrive. Fair fares on the App Store

Awesome, thanks Patrick. I’ll check that out. I don’t think we’ll get the boat the same day for Koh Samet—do you know if it’s possible to sleep on the Ban Phe side, or is that area not great? Thanks

No worries, there are plenty of cheap hotels around Ban Phe’s pier. Check them out on Booking and make your choice. You’ll then have an exact address to give for your taxi reservation.

I paid 3,500 baht with this company Taxi 4 You for Koh Chang from the airport. Everything went smoothly and the driver was great. www.facebook.com/Taxi4YouThailand

Perfect, thank you so much! It does seem legit.

Good evening, my reply is certainly too late but may be useful to other forum members. We’ve just returned from a 3-week holiday in Thailand and Cambodia and used Ban Phe / Bangkok (Mahanakhon SkyWalk) with the company Samet Transfert Taxi in a 9-seater van for 3,330 THB (90 €). Very punctual and a very safe driver.

Best regards.

Hi there, we used Taxi 4 You on our end. The fare between Bangkok and Ban Phe is 2,200 baht. Big, brand-new SUV. Super reliable, I totally recommend them.
