Hi there, I have a layover in Naples in September and have two quick questions: - Does the boat still dock in the city? - Hotel: Could anyone recommend a 3- or 4-star hotel in the city that you’ve personally stayed at (I’m past the age for "editorial recommendations")? Ideally, it’d be close to the "San Carlo" theater, where I need to go in the evening. Thanks everyone! Francis

Hi, the boat docks very close to the city. The maritime station is facing the Municipio square. To the left, there’s the Castel Nuovo, and the Teatro di San Carlo is just a 1 km walk from the maritime station.

Hi, you can go on booking.com, pick any hotel, check its location on the map, and on the map you can see hotels near the theater with prices and reviews. Booking reviews are reliable—I’ve never had any bad experiences. Here’s an example. Have a great weekend

Thanks, and you're right—it's usually how I do it, and I book through Booking.com. But strangely, for Naples, nothing is clear or explanatory... lots of qualifiers like "magnificent" or "wonderful," but that's not objective at all... My biggest fear, since I know Naples, is the noise at night—you just can’t sleep... But you're right, I’ll dig deeper, including with Booking.com’s support team, to clarify this point.
