Hello fellow cycle tourists, Are there any campsites along the Somme cycle route? Let’s say every 50/60 km starting from Tergnier. Thanks for your help!

Thanks Promeneur I’ll check out the sites you mentioned

The route segments align nicely with the stopover towns: Péronne, then Amiens (or Corbie just before), then Abbeville, and the bay at the end. It's around these towns and in the Somme Bay area that campsites are most plentiful—between them, they're more scattered.

Watch out for dates, though: many municipal campsites along the valley close at the end of September or during October. If you're traveling off-season, a quick call before each stop can save you from unpleasant surprises, and riverside *gîtes d'étape* or guest rooms can step in as alternatives.

Thanks Laurent, I’m thinking of doing this trip next summer with my grandson.

I don’t know if there are campgrounds, but B-Router should be able to tell you, or Gégé Map, or the local tourist office. Personally, I kept going—I was short on time and eager to get home.
