nous séjournerons au Canonnier début décembre 2007, nous aimerions avoir des avis sur cet hôtel .Nous avons déjà séjourné à Maurice en 98, à l'hotel Paradis .Compte tenu des souvenirs laissés par le Paradis nous espérons ne pas être déçus par le canonnier, mais nous voulions être proche de Grand Baie. Le Paradis était un peu trop éloigné de la vie Mauricienne.
bonjour, nous sommes revenus du cannonier il y a une quinzaine de jours.l'hotel est très correct, très propre .On y mange bien par contre pour la plage il y a beaucoup de rochers.Les ballades le long de la plage sont limitées.Pour aller à Grand baie nous avons optés pour le bus local(10 roupies par personne au lieu de 150 en taxi) et sans problèmes.L'arrêt est à environ 4OO mètres de l'hotel et il y en a pour 5minutes.bonnes vacances
J'aimerai savoir si vous étiez en demi pension ou en all inclusive car nous sommes en demi en nous recherchons des restos correct sur grand baie.
Avez vous été a l' ile plate ?
de même avez vous été au centre de bien être de l'hôtel et si oui comment est il au niveau des massages?
Car j'ai trouvé sur un autre site internet sur grand baie un centre de massage et j'aimerai comparer les prix;
êtes vous également allé danser en dehors de l'hotel ?

nous étions en all in et heureusement.Les boissons sont très chères à savoir + de deux euros pour 50cl d'eau, les cocktails sont à 7 euros, un demi litre de vin 12, 50 euros.La soirée langoustines au Navigator 110 euros pour 2 sans la boisson.Pour les autres questions je ne peux pas vous répondre.
par contre nous avons fait Chamarel, Curepipe, le marché à quatres bornes.
Une autre info, comme vous êtes en demi pension, à Grand Baie vous avez un magasin SUPER U, si vous voulez vous achetez quelques provisions, les prix sont correct, le rhum bon marché, moins cher que le lait.
Pour danser, à partir de 23 h, le Navigator se transforme en disco.
Si vous avez d'autres questions n'hésitez pas, sinon bonnes vacances.

A mon arrivée, je vais aller au Super U, trouve t-on des produits laitiers qui "ne risquent rien", je veux dire frais ? car nous avons un bébé de 17 mois ?
Trouve t-on aussi de la viande, poulet, etc...?
Y a t-il des plats préparés ?
Y a t-il des petits restos pas chers dans le coin ? J'ai entendu parler de "chez Françoise" à la Pointe aux Canonniers qui fait des menus mauritiens pour pas cher.

J'ai eu toutes ces infos en allant sur forum voyage bons plans où tte les adresses et sites internet sont indiqués.grand baie org. voici prix reçu cette semaine de grand baie gym. Apparemment le surya serait super à perebeyre déjà le site est pas mal et en discutant on me l'a confirmé. Les restos, on m'a conseillé le pescator à trou aux biches (très classe ), et le capitaine qui est un resto créole pas excessif pour le midi (brochettes de poissons etc ...).Nous nous sommes en demi pension et j'espère pouvoir découvrir des petits restos sympas et pas trop chère (sauf le pescatore) et surtout aller à l'ile plate car je n ai que des avis positifs sur cet ilot.
Vous partez qd précisement, car nous c'est du 08 au 17 dec avec air france. A+

peut etre nous croiserons nous au canonnier, nous y serons du 11 au 13 decembre, en 1/2 pension, avant d aller au paradise cove.
j ai choisi cet hotel pour sa proximite de grand baie, pour ses magasins et ses restaus, nous avions tres bien mange en janvier dernier pour uen dejeuner langouste a la bonne marmitte.
Et bien peut être que nous nous croiserons sur la plage ou au petit dej, nous nous serons sur place qu 'à partir du dimanche matin car nous arrivons à l'aéroport à 6h du matin heure mauricienne bien sûr.
Comme j'ai l'impression que vous étes déjà allés au canonnier, pouvez vous nous donner quelques infos sur l'hôtel ainsi que sur les restos et avez vous visiter l'ile plate ?
je ne suis jamais alle au canonnier, j ai choisi cet hotel d apres les critiques sur tripadvisor, et comme j avais trouvé que grand baie etait un coin sympa, j ai cherché un hotel dans les environs
nous avions bien dejeuné a grand baie des langoustes, grace a un adresse justement recuperee sur ce forum et celui du routard.
je ne connais pas l ile plate, mais esperons bien la faire cette fois ci en catamaran par exemple, je suis preneur des bons tuyaux pour cette sortie
par contre, si certains sont interesses, je peux donner renseignement sur les hotels Meridien, Ambre, Indian Resort, Hilton et Sofitel
Grand Baie tres peu de vrai mauricienne, ils vivent tous avec des vacanciers labas donc si tu veux de vrai vie mauricienne a mon avis c'est pas Grand baie meme si on est un peuple tres cool !!!

Je ne sais pas quand vous partez pour le Canonnier mais nous en revenons tout juste et sommes un peu déçus.
Lors d'un premier séjour nous en avions été enchantés mais cette fois déception. Cà sent le business et le rendement à tout prix.
Entre temps l'hôtel s'est agrandi, tout au long de l'allée qui était si agréable pour ses jardins se sont constuits des chalets, business oblige........ Par contre la plage elle ne s'est pas agrandi et l'on se retrouve plus serrés les uns contre les autres à chercher de l'ombre.
Beaucoup moins de convivialité. La soirée hebdomadaire si sympathique de présentation de l'hôtel par le directeur a disparue.
La restauration reste assez bonne, quoique avant il y avait une profusion de fruits exotiques (mangue, fruits de la passion) le matin et le soir, alors que maintenant nous n'en n'avons pas vu (à part quelque fois de la papaye). Nous avons eu : des kiwis, oranges, pamplemousse, ananas, noix de coco, . Des salades de fruits de pommes et de ces mêmes fruits.
Nous avons payé, à chaque repas, 15, 60 €uros pour 1 l d'eau et 50 cl de vin ordinaire, en plus on vous sert avant que vous ayiez vidé le verre pour ensuite vous proposer une nouvelle carafe de vin....
Quand on connait la qualité d'un tout inclus 5* de République Dominicaine, bien moins cher et sans surprise, il n'y a pas photo. et en plus 8 h 1/2, 9 heures de vol au lieu de 12, plages aussi belles..........
C'est décidé ce séjour était le dernier : adieu l'ile maurice

I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ??? Bonjour, j'hésite entre deux hôtels de Cayo Coco….soit leMemories Flamingo , soit leMélia Jardines Del Rey…..si quelqu'un connait ces deux hôtels(ou un seul)et qu'il y a séjourné dans la dernière année(car je sais qu'à Cuba l'entretien des hôtels laisse parfois à désirer et que ça change beaucoup d'une année à l'autre), j'aimerais avoir votre opinion(plage, mer , nourriture, état des chambres etc...) merci !...….ou une autre suggestion d'hôtel…..par contre si je choisis Cuba c'est pour la mer...donc ce critère est à retenir...je tiens à une mer translucide merci
