Depuis qques tps deja, j'ai le projet de partir en Angleterre pr améliorer mon anglais, il le faut, c'est comme çà... Je voulais partir pour Londres, mais franchement, c'est la ville la plus chère d'Europe, j'ai pas un énorme budget, et ce serait con qu'au bout de deux semaines je soit contrainte de retourner en France, ruinée, n'ayant pas trouvé un job tout de suite ...
Donc, je me lance pour Brighton, qui n'est qu'à 50 minutes de Londres en train(pratique pr des week-end), c'est une ville jeune, dynamique, au bord de la mer en plus, et touristique, donc pr trouver un p'tit boulot ça devrait pas etre trop dur... et d'après les photos c'est plutot joli là-bas...
Je voulais dc passer par ce forum pour savoir si qqu'un ou plusieurs étaient motivés pour se lancer ds l'aventure Brigthonnienne avec moi ?? départ mi-janvier !!
une p'tite colocation sur place, un boulot ds la restauration, des rencontres, des fêtes, des découvertes... ça etre extra!!

Moi aussi j'ai l'intention de partir pour l'angleterre, si possible dès le mois de janvier.
Je n'ai pour l'instant aucune idée du marché immobilier anglais et encore moins de Brighton concernant le coût d'une location.
Le top reste quand même Londres d'apres ce que disent les gens qui connaissent un peu l'Angleterre mais c vrai que la vie y est tres chere comme tu l'as dit.
J'aimerai partir dans l'optique d'acquérir un niveau d'anglais qui me permette de parler couramment cette langue, pour pouvoir travailler à l'étranger éventuellement.
Je vais devoir trouver un travail du genre barman si possible.

Brighton c'est super, tu es tres bien renseignee (mon meilleur ami y habite).
C'est une ville etudiante et c'est tres dynamique... en plus, il y a plein de maisons victoriennes et de petites boutiques.
Cote loyer cependant, tu risques de te retrouver dans les meme prix que Londres, vu que la demande excede l'offre de beaucoup. Tu devras donc trouver une collocation.
Mais d'un autre cote, tu ne paieras pas les prix exorbitants des transports londoniens, et en plus, tu eviteras l'heure de pointe !
Cote baignade, c'est fichu avant juillet, mais enfin, on ne peut pas tout avoir.
Alors, mon conseil, c'est d'abord de reserver une auberge de jeunesse pour 2 semaines, le temps de trouver un boulot et une collocation. Ne reserve surtout rien et ne paies rien sans avoir vu par toi meme.
Beaucoup trop de gens se font arnaquer continuellement de cette maniere.

Très chouette projet! Si vous cherchez un contact sur place, n'hésitez pas ! J'avais le même projet et j'ai quitté mon pays il y a un peu plus de deux mois maintenant. Je vis à Portsmouth qui est juste à côté de Brighton. Si vous cherchez une co-location (et vu les loyers c'est le seul moyen possible de vivre ici sans s'endetter pour trente ans), je vous conseille www.gumtree.com C'est comme celà que j'ai trouvé toutes mes co-locations jusqu'à présent. Il suffit de sélectionner la ville où vous voulez co-louer. Les loyers partent de £ 250 par mois pour quelquechose de potable et à £ 350 par mois on peut trouver une chambre dans une chouette maison si on est chanceux. Ce sont les loyers à Portsmouth et Southampton, je pense qu'on peut rajouter £50 à £100 si c'est à Brighton, d'après Gumtree. Cela reste néanmoins moins cher que Londres où on peut facilement taper à £ 750 par mois pour un truc petit et sympa dans un quartier non défavorisé.
Faites attention au fait que certains loyers sont à la semaine (genre si c'est £ 90, ne vous leurrez pas, c'est à la semaine) et assurez vous que tout est compris (is everything included ?). En Angleterre, outre les charges habituelles (eau, gaz, électricité), il existe aussi des council tax (taxe communale) et c'est vraiment pas donné !
Soyez aussi attentif au fait que, comme je le suppose, vous cherchez une chambre meublée (furnished).
Si vous avez une voiture, regardez bien les signes dans la rue car dans certaines zones, il faut avoir une plaque de résident pour se garer (et tous les apparts ne donnent pas droit à une plaque de résident ou "car permit").
De plus, essayez de trouver une maison avec machine à laver et sèche-linge parce que le lavoir est super cher. Au bout d'un an de lavoir, une personne propre a payé une machine à laver.
On ne vous demandera jamais plus d'un mois de loyer comme caution (deposit).
C'est parce que je me suis fait entuber sur tous ces points que je peux vous conseiller si bien. Je me suis mangé trois PV en quinze jours (£30 par prune si payée endéans les quatorze jours, £60 si payé après 14 mais avant 28 jours), me suis ruiné au lavoir et heureusement j'ai bidouillé pour les council tax de mon appart (£ 80 par mois si on vit seul).
Si on reste moins de trois mois, ça ne vaut pas la peine de payer les PV, il ne vous suivront jamais. Mais si on reste plus, le PV impayé passe en justice et au bout d'un certain nombre de PV, on se fait clamper sa bagnole et là, tu payes ou on la détruit.
Mis à part tout ça, c'est vraiment génial de se retrouver étranger dans un pays et de devoir s'adapter. En plus on fait plein de rencontres, pas toujours bonnes, mais toujours instructives.

Ici c'est vraiment sympa, y a peu près 300 pubs et clubs, des magasins que l'on voit nulle part ailleurs .(en france j'entends) ! Sinon niveau boulot bein moi je me galère un peu pour trouver un job mais c vrai que je suis pas à fond dans mes recherche car je suis logé gratuitement en ce moment.

J'ai passé 6 mois à Brighton l'année derniere et franchement c'était génial..
j'ai rencontré des personnes en or, de tout horizons!!
je faisait une coloc avec deux espagnols... fêtes à gogo! c'était super...
y'a de quoi faire la bas entre les bars, restau, boites, cinoches, et la plage! meme si c'est que des galets, dès qu'il fait beau les jeunes s'y retrouvent, c'est bondé!
je bossais comme femme de chambre dans un hotel.. c'était un peu dur des fois mais j'en garde quand meme un bon souvenir.. tentez : New Steine Hotel, ils ont un site internet.. le boss c'est hervé.. et ils prennent pas mal de jeunes...
