Salut tous. Je suis du Québec. Je veux partir au Népal en deécembre prochain pour 3 semaines faire de l'humanitaire dans une école et habiter dans une famille grâce a Wwoofing Népal. J'aimerais des conseils de gens qui ont déjà été au Népal. Chitwan, est-ce un endroit intéressant pour être placé? Sinon, quels sont les villages, les plus typiques? Beau? Avec vue sur l'Himalaya? Dites-moi tout!!
Tu vas au Népal dans une bonne période, belle vue sur les sommets et treks intéressants. Chitwan est classé patrimoine mondial à l'UNESCO, donc pas de problème question intérêt. Il y a beaucoup de belles choses là-bas. Le problème est le temps, on peut mettre des jours pour atteindre chaque lieu. L'idéal est que tu te consacres à ce lieu puis que tu en fasses la découverte. Plus tard, tu pourras aller ailleurs. Je te donne par plusieurs sites, un itinéraire aux alentours :

C'est un pays superbe et atypique. Le plus haut du monde, donc des paysages que l'on trouve nul part ailleurs. L'idéal c'est évidemment les treks où tu peux vraiment approcher les montagnes.
Ok, mais si je veux voir les montagnes de plus près et faire un trek, je crois que Pokhara, je n'ai pas le choix d'y aller...Ça me prendra des jours me déplacer de Chitwan a Pohkara? Ben voyons...! Quest-ce que vous voulez dire?

Je ne comprends pas ta réponse. Aux alentours de Chitwan, il y a des possibilités de te ballader. Je t'ai mis des idées de trek, c'est tout. Pokhara, comme Namtche Bazar sont des lieux de départs de trek. Si tu as le temps, tu peux aller dans ces coins là pour trekker. Maintenant, tout dépend de ton expérience... Après si tu veux rester aussi du côté de Chitwan, je t'ai indiqué des idées aussi de ballades.
Chitwan est dans la region du Terai, c'est la plaine et la jungle.
Tu peux faire du safari photo à dos d'éléphant (fantastique), et dormir dans des lodges en pleine jungle.
Pour les montagnes, effectivement c'est plutot Pokhara, et le lac magnifique Pewa entouré des annapurna et du grand "Fish Tail".
Il faut compter une journée de voiture entre chitwan et pokhara, il n'y a qu'une route au Népal. Et ce, si tout va bien (pas d'accident par ex causant la fermeture de la route)
De Pokhara tu trouveras des Treks. Je te conseille de passer par une agence sur place si tu es seule.
Par contre, Aout c'est la mousson, donc pas l'idéal pour la visibilité surtout. Le mieux c'est octobre novembre.
Tu peux aussi aller de l'autre côté (côté partie Everest) vers Nagarkot pour la vue sur les montagnes.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
