Je suis revenue lundi 8/02 de Cuba, la 1ere semaine nous étions 3 jours à La Havane (du 24/01 au 27/01), il faisait beau avec qq nuages mais pas super chaud je dirais 25 dégrés idéal pour visiter ensuite nous avons passé 3 jours à Trinidad (du 27/01 au 30/01) il faisait trés chaud avec du vent et pour terminer nous avons passé 8 jours à Varadero j'étais toute la semaine en maillot, il faisait bien chaud avec quand même du vent sur la plage je suis donc restée plus vers la piscine, nous avons eu 2 journées grises mais il faisait quand même chaud.

Maya, t'inquiete pas l'océan , si tu aimes , est magnifique , le matin de bonne heure c'est merveilleux et les couleurs sont superbes .... la plage franchement ça dépend des endroits ... promenez vous il y a des endroits trés beaux et agréables ...
moi j'ai adoré l'océan et le parc Josone sympa aussi , touristique ok , mais ambiance plutôt chouette on peut s'y relaxer y boire un pot et faire de jolies photos.
tes filles vont pouvoir danser en plus ce qui est pas mal ...
ce que je n'aime pas c'est cette ambiance todo incluido mais pour 3 jours c'est vite passé et tu peux trés bien aller te promener et profiter des choses positives du lieu
surtout les bains de mer ............QUEL BONHEUR!!!

En ce moment la température est vraiment poche ( et pour toute la semaine qui viens...) d'après les sites météo!! Je commence a déprimer je part le 20.... Hum....😠 Dame Nature...j'ai vraiment besoin de soleil ( c mes seuls vacances d'ici novembre....)
On part du 20 au 27 😎 !!!!!!!! On plus je vais a Varadero... pis c la qui fait le plus froid dans tout Cuba🤪!!! Mais je penses que je vais arrêter de regarder les sites météo car c différent presque sur toute les sites... Toi tu vas ou???

on fait un circuit de 15 jours.On devait rester une semaine à Varadero et quand j'ai vu la météo j'ai changé un peu les plans:je me suis dit que s'il ne faisait pas très chaud ce n'était pas nécessaire de rester dans une station balnéaire trop longtemps.Nos serons à La Havane, Viñales, Maria la Gorda, Cienfuegos, Trinidad et pour finir 3 nuits à Varadero!!!(nous y serons à partir du 5/03)
mais ne t'inquiète pas ;j'ai eu un message il y a quelques jours de Remja juste au début de cette discussion et elle me rassurait;elle a beaucoup profité avec un temps agréable début janvier!!😉
et si un jour il faisait "moche", pensez à faire une excursion..

Nous on part le 19 Fev pour varadero. Je regarde environ 10 sites sur le web de météo, et il n'ya apas un site qui dit la même chose, et la météo change d'heure en heure (je regarde environ 3 fois par jours depuis une semaine) C'est dure à prévoir. J'imagine qu'on va être fixé rendu la-bas, mais esperons qu'il va faire trèes beau.. Ya qqun qui connait un excellent site fiable de meteo pour varadero?

je vois que vous étiez à cuba début février et vous vous inquiétiez du climat, c'est éxactement mon souci actuellement, pouvez vous me dire si vous avez eu beau temps, chaud, et si surtout l'eau est chaude ? les prévisions ne sont pas fantastiques, nous partons le 12 mars... j'espère que vous avez passé de bonnes vacances, (on les attend tellement longtemps....) bonjour,
retour de Cuba hier.Temps très mitigé et nous avons du plusieurs fois utiliser les pulls chauds!!!!
A la même période la Rep Dom ou les Antilles sont beaucoup plus chaudes.....
Le problème c'est le vent qui a sévi quasi tous les jours, excepté les 3 derniers..et encore...j'étais habituée à plus de chaleur à cette période dans les caraïbes et heureusement nous avons fait un circuit itinérant , car Varadéro sans chaleur c'est plutôt déprimant....
Mais mi-mars on peut espérer plus chaud.
Quant à la mer c'est pareil:si soleil on est plus courageux pour y entrer;si vent frais:bof.Donc les baignades ont été au gré du temps:couci couça...
Si on peut changer son voyage je conseillerais en dernière minute la Rep Dom pour cette période.
Sinon voyage sympa:la Havane, Trinidad, Vinales....chouettes souvenirs

🤪 bon les nouvelles sont pas très bonnes, tant pis, on peut plus changer on part demain, avec pulls chauds et pantalons longs... mais c'est vrai que le mexique et la rep. dom. sont plus chauds surtout en mars. merci pour ta réponse.🙂

finalement on a eu beau temps : 1 jour de pluie (le jour de la vsite de la Havane) et un autre jour où il a fait gris, du coup un peu frais ces jours là... mais sinon chaud avec beaucoup de vent sur la plage et de grosses vagues, on a bien ri dans les rouleaux. un seul bémol Varadero est loin de tout dommage !!!

We want to do a few safaris, visit villages, the mountains, see tea plantations, etc. But we also want to see turtles. We love snorkeling but aren’t experts—we’re just happy to see colorful fish and coral. We’ve always wanted to see turtles too, so the idea is still to see *something* underwater 😊

I’m tempted to spend the Christmas holidays in Shanghai and the surrounding areas (Nanjing, Suzhou) with my family—kids are 11 and 2. It’d be a bummer if the little one catches a cold over there.

I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
