Je suis actuellement a Prague avec le programme erasmus, et si tu as encore des doutes n'hesite vraiment pas a partir c'est une esxperience formidable que tu ne regrettera pas...

En fait je voudrais savoir si là bas tu as ouvert un compte bancaire et si oui quelles démarches tu as suivi et comment ça s'est passé (temps pour ouvrir le compte, prix de l'ouverture, différences entre comptes anglais et comptes français...).
T vécu en coloc? Moi je vivrai avec des anglais (deux gars et une fille).
Question subsidiaire: quelles sont les bons plans pour faire des économies là bas?? As tu pris un petit job à côté?

Je suis parti à Hull (East Yorkshire), à 250 km au nord de Londres. D'ailleurs j'avais un copine anglaise qui venait d'Exeter...il paraît que c'est la cambrousse lol.
Pour ouvrir un compte c'était pas compliqué y'avait une banque sur le campus mais on avait besoin du passeport & d'une attestation de domicile faite par le bureau des affaires internationales. Le compte est ouvert très vite (j'étais chez HSBC) et t'as une carte de paiement et un chéquier (gratuits). L'ouverture est bien entendu également gratuite (manquerait plus que ça...). T'auras un code IBAN qui te permettra de faire un virement depuis la France. Tu peux aussi vérifier si ta banque française a un accord avec une banque anglaise (ça te permettrait de retirer des pounds au distributeur sans payer aucune commission).
Je vivais en coloc en student house avec 6 étudiants anglais, américains & allemands. C'est important que tu sois la seule française dans la maison car sinon tu ne progressera pas beaucoup... Tu auras déjà l'occasion de parler français sur le campus (tu n'es pas la seule française!). Et puis c'est tellement mieux de découvrir d'autres cultures.
Perso j'ai pas bossé à côté mais certains l'ont fait. Tu peux être caissier dans les magasins de proximité ("The Jacksons"), glass collector ou serveuse dans les boîtes (moins marrant déjà de voir s'éclater les autres pdt que tu bosses...), usines (fatiguant), telemarketing parfois, plonge, etc... En général y'a des offres d'emploi.
Les bons plans pour faires des économies? ...Manger des nouilles peut-être... Je n'ai pas trouvé la vie bcp + chère qu'en France, en grande surface notamment c'est pareil qu'en France et t'as tt le temps des offres promotionnelles donc pas de soucis de ce côté là.
En même temps n'économise pas trop là bas, profite! En plus tu ne pars qu'un semestre. C'est une formidable expérience, tu vas rencontrer des jeunes de toutes l'Europe voire du monde entier, tu vas prendre du recul sur la France et je peux te dire que quand tu reviens au bout de qques mois tu n'es plus trop à l'aise en France et tu n'as qu'une envie c'est de repartir (Ca dépend de la personne néanmois je pense car certains ont un peu le mal du pays..mais si t'es autonome, curieuse de découvrir ce pays, y'a aucun problème!). Pour le climat j'ai été agréablement surpris.

Avais-tu des bourses. Si oui tu les a reçu par mois ou à la fin du séjour? Normalement j'aurais 155 euros par la fac mais des copains qui sont parti m'ont dit qu'en général c'est versé à la fin!! J'aurais aussi 300 par mois du conseil régional mais je sais pas encore s'il donnent des bourses à tous les étudiants ou s'il y a des modalités...
Je comprends que tu m'ais dit de ne pas trop économiser là bas mais je n'ai pas le budget nécessaire pour profier sans compter!

Je ne suis pas boursière bob plus mais je recevrais une bourse erasmus et une bourse de mon conseil régional (cote d'or). Erasmus: environ 65 euros par mois mais comme tu le devines c'ets à la fin du séjour (quelle logique!!). Conseil régional: 300 euros par mois auxquels il fo soustraire le montant de la bourse erasmus. Je recevrai 80% du montant total de la bourse conseil régional à mon arrivée en Angleterre (après envoi de mon attestation d'arrivée) et 20% qd je partirai (après envoi de mon attestation de départ et du bilan d'expérience). Ts les conseil régionaux n'accordent pas de bourses donc renseignes toi. Sinon certaines mairies accordent des bourses...à voir.
ATTENTION: ds certains cas il y a un quotat d'attribution des bourses donc nombre limité de bourses donc je te conseilles de t'y prendre vraiment à l'avance car là bas les bourses que tu recevras t'aideront énormement (surtout à payer le loyer exorbitant des logements là bas!!)
Pour te donner une idée mon loyer à Dijon (colocation) revient à 200 euros par mois. Là bas je vivrai aussi en colocation (le plus économe et le plus fréquent là bas) et je paierai 430 euros par mois!!

Alors pour être franche, je ne me souviens plus des papiers a obtenir pour partir avec Erasmus. Ca fait presque trois ans que je suis partie et je ne me souvenais meme plus de ce forum :) Tout ce que je peux te dire, c'est que tu ne pourras pas échapper au labyrinthe administratif...c'est comme ça, c'est la France! En revanche, le meilleur conseil que je puisse te donner, c'est de tout vérifier, d'anticiper, et d'être bien sûr que ta fac va te donner les bons papiers. Pour cela, le mieux à faire est de contacter le bureau dinscription de l'université où tu voudrai aller en Angleterre et de leur demander tout simplement les documents qu'ils demandent. Oui, parce que moi, je me suis rendue compte en arrivant la bas que ma fac ne mavait pas tout donné...notamment des documents en anglais qui sont compatibles avec la fac d'accueil (notes notamment - la bas elles sont en pourcents). Voilà, je te souhaite bon courage!! N'hésite pas à me poser d'autres questions.
Alors, j'étais Erasmus en Espagne et non boursière. Cependant, j'ai obtenu la Bourse du Conseil régional d'Ile de France (je faisais mes études sur Paris) et j'ai pu la cumuler avec la bourse du Conseil régional de Haute Normandie (ma région d'origine où je n'étais pourtant plus domicilé sauf mes parents...)! Donc, si vous étudiez dans une région différente, pensez y ;-)

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
