Quoique qu'il en soit, pour mon périple en VVC en Mer Noire au printemps prochain, je pense faire le vaccin 1mois avant mon départ .
Pour certains ce vaccin est impératif pour des séjours en milieu rural ce qui sera majoritairement mon cas.
Q'en pensez vous? avez vous déjà fait ce vaccin? Y a t il des effets secondaires?
Par contre sur le forum, de nombreux débats sur le risque de rage ne m'ont pas décidé à me faire vacciner. Je travaille mon coup de tatane arrière tout en pédalant et dans le pire des cas, la bombe lacrimo.
Peut être encore plus préoccupant seront ces infernales femelles (je veux parler des moustiques) auxquelles il faudra bien se protéger comme d'habitude. Ceux qui ont longé le Danube l'été peuvent ils me dire si c'est vraiment un problème ?

Je suis d'origine roumaine et j'ai passé la plus grande partie de mon enfance entre le milieu rural et le delta du danube. l'enfance labas etait pieds nus dans la poussiere entre les vaches et les moutons pleins de tiques et je n'ai jamais chopé quoi que ce soit, alors, les vaccins indispensables....
Le delta du danube (fabuleux), le soir, tu te dis qu'il n'y a pas la place pour un moustique de plus, mais en dehors du coté desagreable....pas grand chose
l'unique chose grave que j'ai eue pendant mon enfance a été un hepatite suite a une vaccination en serie avec la meme aiguille a la maternelle..

Suite à la réponse de matëi qui confirme bien ce que je pensait déjà, ma décision est prise je ne ferais pas ce vaccin contre l'encéphalite . Je ne suis pas particulièrement fada pour me bourrer de médoc alors avec queques précautions de base, je pense que l'on peut limiter les risques : bien vérifier quotidiennement les éventuelles piqures de tiques et les enlever systématiquement et délicatement pour ne pas laisser les crochets avec une pinces à tiques (en ventes chez les véto) puis désinfecter immédiatement Si doute persiste, consulter un médecin local (pas un vétérinaire) ils connaissent bien le problème.
Pour ce qui concerne le vaccin contre la rage, se faire mordre ou griffer par un animal infecté, nécessite de toutes façon un traitement dans un hopital (vaccin sérum) donc le vaccin fait préalablement ne permet que de rallonger le temps d'intervention entre l'agression et la prise en charge médical Du coup si tu te trouves à moins de 48 H d'un hopital le vaccin avant le départ ne me semble pas indispensable. Sur le forum de nombreuses discussions ont abordé le sujet retrouve les pour te faire ta propre opinion.
Et puis, l'aventure sans un peu de prise de risque manque peut être de piment !!
Je te recommande aussi de faire très rapidement le Viet Nam avant que le tourisme devienne comme en Thaïlande et aussi la vallée du Nil en Egypte
C'est aussi un projet à venir de faire en VTT un tour du monde Mais auparavent le tour complet de la Méditerranée me titille aussi

je ne suis pas un expert en tiques et je ne veux pas en devenir, seulement, j'en enlevais aux chiens a la campagne et a moi aussi (tres rarement, mais a force de les cotoyer, ca arrive) et on m'a toujours dit qu'avant de les arracher avec une pince (la tete risque de rester dedans et c'est elle qui s'infecte...) il vaut mieux les endormir (mieux qu'une berceuse, utiliser de l'ethere ou du chloroforme) et attendre 1 ou deux minutes avant de l'aracher. Bien verifier que la tete este sortie avec.
Pour la rage, c'est sur qu'il doit y avoir, il y a un enorme probleme lié aux chiens errants, mais tous les hopitaux connaissent ce probleme et en ont l'habitude..helas.
Sinon, si vous aimez les moustiques, allez dans le delta du danube, et si vous ne les aimez pas, allez y quand meme, c'est fabuleux !!!
Nous ne sommes pas tres medocs non plus et nous sommes a la recherche de tous produits naturels pour preparer notre voyage....

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
