Je souhaite venir faire de l'humanitaire au Népal pendant 3 à 6 mois à partir de février.
M'y prenant un peu tard, je n'ai pas encore trouvé d'ONG mais j'espère y arriver avant de partir.
Je suis ingénieur en transport public, j'ai fait du conseil en management/organisation, j'ai peur de ne pas trouver de mission en lien avec mes compétences, mais je suis prêt à élargir mon périmètre (construction, cours, ..).
J'ai par exemple vu qu'il y avait un besoin important pour remettre en état les chemins utilisés par les touristes lors des treks. Faisant beaucoup de randonnées en montagne, cela pourrait être l'occasion d'apporter mon aide par exemple.
Avez-vous des conseils à me donner sur :
- des ONG / Associations que vous connaîtriez sur place
- des contacts qui pourraient me renseigner
- des conseils sur les besoins actuels selon vous pour les ONG
- quels types de visas faut-il utiliser ? (j'ai lu que le visa touristique ne permettait pas de travailler avec des ONG - est-ce le cas dans les faits ? , ...)
- des lieux qui ont été particulièrement touchés et qui n'ont pas reçus beaucoup d'aide
- ..

Juridiquement c'est interdit mais apparemment dans les faits c'est possible.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
